This is my review of DMC5 first part

Keep in mind, this is for the switch 2 version and basically my opinion of the progress I made of DMD and only for the Nero/V/Dante campaign hence I plan to talk on Vergil when I get the chance.

For the story, is have good highs but some lows. I do think the story did more to flesh out Nero after his debut in 4 as well make him even more likeable, jihny young bosch really make the best of voicing him, and I enjoy his personality as cynical but not to the point of annoying. V I quite enjoy as a reflection of Vergil's humanity and regret in life and I think the story put solid work of his decay and inability to let go of power. Dante's writing is really good I enjoy his him acting as an exprienced version of him from 3 still energetic despite his age, I still think 4 have the better writing but still I enjoyed to see him on screen as he enjoy the action while taking things seriously, griffon is what I really liked, he just oozing with companion energy but not to the point of being annoying

However there are some I am more mixed to not liking, I do think Vergil's plot is good but part of me feel him getting SDT is more from writing he can stand against Dante but it kinda feels unearned with his return and merging like sure urizen ate the fruit but he got weakend by Dante, Nico I enjoy as the one who banter with Nero but she is feel a bit unremarkable for me she pretty much dropped when Dante arrive besides giving Faust. Trish and Lady are the weakest part sure in 4 they weren't fleshed greatly either but I feel they mostly here to be basically damsels to free more than anything.

The presentation not real complains, I maybe more for cartoonish anime look as a Kirby fan but this is nothing to scoff at. The details are really good whether is the locations, the enemies look disctint and the returning is how I imagine them in modern appearance like the nobodies as someone who played 1 and characters feel so expressive, despite the realism, ny main issue that some areas can be too dark and I have difficult time to see what is going on.

Music is amazing as well long before I played the game I was a fan of devil trigger and of course bury the light but sub human isn't too bad either, V probably have the weakest battle them for me but is good nonetheless they all give me the motivation to push and slay the demons.

For the gameplay, by in large I enjoy the levels for being linear enough so I am not confused where to go but also give sometimes satisfaction to explore. The camera was a bit annoying, it is better than the fixed camera of previous games but in mission 12 in particular I have difficult times to position it so I can see what is going on. The combat is amazing, nero is probably my worst character but he not bad either I enjoy grabbing enemies and combo with him or using his air taunt as a third/fourth jump, the devil breaker system I am more mixed my mains are helter skelter, punch line with gerbera and ragtime as my secondaries but I did find it annoying you can't switch arms without breaking I just would prefer if you could switch them instead is just make me not try new stuff, but my favorite part of Nero is his gun it hold quite a punch and feel good as a combo filler and ender and exceeding isn't too bad either. V I enjoy him sure you basically let the familiars do you work but I found it interactive enough for me to use not much to say but in DMD is kinda annoying I basically try to hold enough meter for nightmare and hope to end fights ASAP. Dante is my favorite of the bunch, I already played 3 on switch and getting into him was a blast he feel so good to use his combos are satisfying to pull off, when I get the DSD the summon sword round trip just shred enemies for insane combos balrog pack some insane damage and I just real impacted a lot and it feel like I earn when I do it, cavalire is probably my least favorite weapon mostly using it as a combo ender but is good in what it does and king cerberus is my combo filler and crowd control with his lightning powers and strong fire moves for styles my mains where sword master and royal guard, I just find the fact I can block with only penalty is less DT to be a fair trade for the crunch of the ability, trickster didn't use much beyond moving fast or avoid very specific attacks and gun slinger if the situation called for it, for the fire arms did use the pistols, barely used the shotgun, the kalina annes used as my secondary and faust as probably my fire arm main I did use it sometimes to clutch my victories but mostly to get more orbs than going with it on the offense I didn't use much of sin devil trigger sure is strong but I feel normal DT do the job for me I mostly use it as a crunch in some annoying segments really.

For the enemies the line up is great most feel like a fair fight and if I get hit is feel my fault though my least fav are the hell antenoras which feel annoying to deal in a large group, and the judecca which I just get annoyed fast before you says fury I didn't find them too annoying to deal with whether with dante since royal guard or nero since he have way to evade and fight back

The boss line up is really good might say top 5 boss line up I played, Goliath is a really evolution of the bewoulf fight from my experience, nidhogg was a good way to test V resource managment the geryon elder knight felt chaotic but controlled, the urizen fight establish good balance of beatable but you don't meant to win at them I will say the third is probably my fav of them, cavalire angelo is fun to cheese with cerberus and balrog, malphas is alsp fun with ways to stagger her and close the gap, cerberus feel a good way to keep you on your toes and I say besides the urizen fights he is the hardest boss of the bunch, the familiar fight I am not gonba deny is my favorite in the game it feel so good to manage all three of them and dwindle nightmare using royal guard releases to put him down manage footsies with shadow and making sure griffon won't pester you, vergil was great I just feel he was a bit too easy like he didn't came close to kill me even on DMD which I will tell real quick was very easy to S rank all the missions besides 12 but yeah I enjoyed the vergil fights I think thry better designed than the 3 fights I just still think chaos elfilis is my favorite final boss in gaming, but for the stinkers I think artemis was underwhelming with nero and just annoying with V, gilgamesh I think is the worst boss in the game is basically a tedious shadow of the colosus boss which I am not keen on them in the first place and is just get exhausting really fast.

Overall I found the game to be pretty easy not braindead but easier and much more than 1 which I will die on the hill to say DMC1 is harder than 3, I just feel you much more options to stand and fight like I said DMD was very easy to S rank for me besides mission 12 and 10 was a bit sweaty but still not too bad to S rank.

I still need to play vergil and do the other modes but wanted to tell my opinion since I beat DMD and played the game for a good while.

Let me know what you think.

What had happened here is just messed up

Ok you can dislike recee and what he said shown to not well recieved but I will say again, threatning people's life is NEVER A SOLUTIONand Deen's response of acting like nintendo fans are like the worst offender of community to do this which I remind you he made fun of nate getting a kirk death threat just show me his lack of apathy or attempt to act not self aware cause remind you, he support tripster which famously said "owning a switch 2 game is the same to unalive yourself" my point of this post is once again to talk on making fun or do death threats make nothing good out of it.

Did anyone found DMD of 5 to be pretty easy to S rank

Now I am not saying braindead by any means but I am already halfway and the only one I really struggled was 10 but even then nothing like 60% of the DMD missions of 3 like by in large 5 is an easier game but still.

Any recommended control scheme for DMC5?

Now keep in mind I am using switch 2 and no way I am using the default scheme is too much straining to my hands I do use the back triggers and I ask for all 4 playables characters
