Anyone else use their own car as their wallpaper? Let's see them!
Today, I was traveling from Chennai to Bangalore on the Lalbagh Express. I sat next to a seemingly nice older man who was giving me 'gyan' about our freedom struggle, why Indians lack civic sense, and how clean European trains are.
Five minutes later, I saw this same man dumping his packet of A2B sambar rice straight out of the window. When I confronted him—pointing out that he was the one just talking about civic sense—it turned into an argument. For context, this man claimed to hold a degree from the Indian Institute of Science and to be a retired scientist from BARC. I have come to the conclusion that education alone cannot make you a civilized person; the development of civic sense truly begins at home
So I booked a cab today near lulu mall and I got a VW Ameo as the car. Painted in yellow and in yellow plate this was the first time I ever saw Ameo being used as a Taxi. When I enquired the driver he said a company has bought a fleet of used Ameo Diesel. Blurred out the number plate using Gemini
So I live in Bangalore and occasionally go to Thrissur and Chennai. Given the hype this car got, I didnt yet spot a single Sierra on the roads apart from them standing in the showrooms. Am I the only one???
I have already driven the 1.5 TSI Slavia extensively and spent a significant amount of time with the Skoda Rapid. However, I settled for the Slavia 1.0 TSI because it will mostly be driven in Bangalore. Since I live overseas, I rarely get to drive it myself, and it is primarily used by my parents.
I did a Thrissur to Bangalore run today, and this machine just pulls—it pulls like a horse. Never once during the entire trip did I feel a shortage of power, even though the car was fully loaded with myself, my parents, and my cousin, with the boot filled with luggage.
The only time I felt it lacking was while cruising beyond 130 km/h, but that happens so seldom. I really don't know why this three-cylinder 1.0 TSI receives so much hate. I admit it is noisy, but it definitely doesn't deserve the reputation it has
So today is my last day in thrissur. Tommorow I will leave to Bangalore. So I had just put fuel on my car and was waiting to take a U turn on the highway near Ansar hospital near perumpilavu. At that moment my eye met with a fine lady. Behind someone on an activa waiting to take a u turn. Our eyes met maybe 5-6 times. And my god she was the finest mallu girl I ever came across. Like a Malakha. We both took the u
turns together and went the opposite way. I
checked the rear view mirror she was still staring at me . I just hope life makes us meet again.
Atleast not at a U turn again!!
