Musikraft strat question on nut width and compatible trem

Can anybody give me advice on nut width and spacing for trem on a strat relic build using musikraft neck + body?

Basically I have an American special strat I play.

I want to give a go at a custom relic guitar

My current strat has a 1-11/16 inches nut width

The trem has String Spacing (Saddle to Saddle): 2-1/16 inches

I like these American vintage trem systems in gold color. But these are 2-7/32 inch string spacing.

Will I run into any issues using the same nut width I have now 1-11/16 with this type of trem? Or should I use a more narrow modern trem?

Will the high e string be extremely close to the fret ends? Is there a better nut width I should use like 1.650?

Also I plan on doing a 9.5 inch fretboard radius 25.5 scale length, 21 frets.

I’d prefer a vintage style trem in gold as I want this to look like a vintage strat with some modern playability and comfort. I’m not sure how a wider string spacing at the saddle or nut will affect playability. Granted this is like a 1/16 inch difference total so less per side.

In person interview at Japanese Bank - NYC office any notable things I should either do, or avoid doing as per the culture?

Coming from one international bank at their New York office. Used to working with Xpats.

Interviewing for a VP position in Mid Office. First round went well.

Is there anything notable about Japanese culture in the work place that should either be avoided or done specifically?

I can’t get flat boards on my jointer and I don’t know why?

I’ve been trying this cheap jointer I got on Facebook. It’s an old craftsman but it seems in great shape.

I cleaned off the tables and fence very well and waxed it up nice. It’s smooth like butter.

However when I try jointing a board on the face. I’m getting tear some times, and sometimes my board which has a bow like a banana. No matter what I do it won’t come out… I’ve gotten very close to flat, maybe less than a 1/32 inch bow over a 48 inch board.

I’m feeding the board into the cutter which is less than 1/32 inch cut. I’m not putting much downward pressure on the infeed table at all, just gliding it over the blade. Then I’m putting pressure on outfeed table only and sliding it along.

But after I flip and run through my planer, I still look down the board and can see some bow to it.

Just moved up towards Raritan bay. Any advice? No bites up here yet

I’ve fished barnegat bay my whole life and down In the Manasquan River and got hits quite often.

I’ve moved north toward Raritan bay and have been fishing around the Arthur kill, raritan bay in the south amboy- Woodbridge area.

No bites yet up here, I’ve tried gulp, poppers, sp minnow, Ava jig.

Going for striper, fluke, blues.

I saw a few dog fish on the surface yesterday and was casting right next to them and still no nibbles.

Any advice for bait or lures?

Anybody know what happened on the 3265 train toward long branch just now?

Train stopped in Newark, for a loooong time, lady was apparently threatened, transit police showed up and grabbed a man and hauled him away. Lady was talking to the police and looked very distraught

hope she is ok

Crazy people can’t even get home from work without this bullshit.

Which concert would you pick?

Looking to see John Mayer this fall in NYC metro area. He’s playing a solo show at the Mohegan and Sun in CT, and a show with Eric Clapton as a tribute to Buddy Guy in NYC…

I mainly wanted to see John but I also enjoy Eric Clapton and the others guitar playing quite a bit.

Obviously the shows will have completely different vibes

If anyone attended his solo tour a few years ago how did you like it?

Cost 700 bucks for two tickets in CT

Or over 1800 to see him with Clapton, buddy guy, Joe Bonamassa, and more.

What’s a good way to make templates and plan out a build with highly designed frame involved?

How would you go about designing the frame that a desk similar to this is built on? To get the curves, dimensions, and print out an accurate template to trade onto your wood?

Would you have to use a CAD software to develop the curves and dimensions? Or what do you think is the best way to have designed such a frame? The whole desk is a hollow frame… then he added the table top and cabinets in afterwards…

Whoever built this is wow phenomenal woodworker

Verizon sales reps are big time liars…

Sign up for 5g home internet because nothing else was available where I live… 500mbps download speed unlimited WiFi…

They lied to me and told me it was $75 for the WiFi I signed up for and I’d get a $400 gift card to Best Buy… I asked many questions to confirm added fees or stipulations on the gift card.. he assured me there was no fees and nothing added…

I got my bill today for $165… and the gift card is not a gift card… it’s a 40% off coupon if you spend $1000 at Best Buy on select Samsung products that nobody would want…

Also charging me extra for Disney + and Hulu which they told me were included in the package at no additional cost. And they’re adding $30/mo for those services.

How should I deal with movement of wood in this type of glue up?

There will be a top glued over this. But to show how my shelving/ drawers will be inside the coffee table I took it off in the image… I want a mitered continuous edge going around the whole box… the divider on the left side I think I’ll run into issues with grain running other direction of other boards.

Basically the right side will have two pull out drawers…

That area on the left will be a hollow shelf on the other side of the table to hold books and such.

Suit for semi formal summer in the Deep South

Looking for a summer suit for a semi formal event. I’m open to materials but this will be in the Deep South USA in August so you can imagine quite hot and humid, plus it is out doors.

I’d prefer a sage/ light earthy green color if there is any…overall just light colors.

Not looking to spend a fortune, cheapest option is fine that won’t fall apart after one wear.

Had one previously from H&M that looked nice but it wrinkled fast and fell apart after one use

Struggling on how to tackle the face and hair in this painting

I’ve got the guitar down fine, I’m moving along nicely with it and I can figure out exactly how to finish it. The hands and guitar strap and shoulders should be easy… but for the life of me I can’t figure out how to start on the face or the hair. I put down my black and where I saw some very dark brown. My reference image has a lot of yellows, red, brown, and very high contrast which I think I’ve got down in the areas I’ve touched already

Tips for how to tackle the rest of this new painting? First time with acrylic

I’m sort of struggling to figure out how to take the facial shapes and hair values and colors… I got my darks/ blacks in. (They’re not real black, it’s a very dark red mixed with ultramarine, cad red, and burnt umber… the photo is making things appear darker than they are…

I’m not going for realism in this painting… sort of a pop are/ vector style look, with a lot of fine details…

The yellow shade in the body and guitar is all my under painting.

Also it’s quite a large piece 5 feet tall by 4 feet wide

My palate and reference photo contain a lot of browns, reds, yellow, it’s a very warm photo with a lot of contrast
