Anyone know any good books? I enjoyed turtles all the way down by John green and this book called every last word if it helps.
So I’m the editor in chief of a newspaper that is part of a non profit organization but not a school affiliated thing. But in school I’m only in 1 club. I’m SUPER crazy involved in that club (school newspaper club) and Im on the highest position a sophomore can be and just got approved to be the highest position a junior can be for next year. I should be Editor in chief (shared with someone else who is in the same role as me) by the time I am a senior (u can only be EiC as a senior). I also lead the like literal club like meeting part and will continue to do so next year and I wrote like 9 articles this year more than anyone else has. Like I’m very into band at school too but that’s not like a club and all my band like stuff is outside school like region band stuff. Idk if it’s a problem that I’m only in 1 club at school if I’m this involved? And yes I do other stuff too but I’m talking like school club wise.
TLDR; I’m only in one club at my school but I’m super super involved and have highest leadership I can and should be the highest by the time I’m a senior. Is it a problem bc it’s only 1 club?

- 1: Niven Cohen is a 17 year old Jewish boy who lives in immense poverty. He lives with his disabled father, who became disabled after a car crash that also killed his mother. Niven’s father cannot work due to this so Niven works a weekend job. One day at his job, a 6 year old girl named Noa comes and asks for food because her family is hungry and cannot afford it. Niven immediately builds a relationship with Noa and her family. However, Niven is also harassed at school. 4 boys, whom he calls “the beasts” physically hurt him at school, and Niven fears for his life every single day.
- 2: Parker Leung is a 17 year old girl whose life used to be very happy. However, about 3 years ago, the family was going to say their goodbyes to her older brother Luke for the next few months because he was moving into his Harvard dorm. Parker is about to open the car door when Luke puts his hand on the Handel and gestures for her to go in first, and they end up getting into a car crash with a drunk driver and Luke doesn’t make it. Parker’s parents cannot cope with the grief, so they take it out on her, and expect her to get perfect grades and she has to be the perfect daughter, but she’s never good enough, so her parents physically abuse her, and parker sh because of it. At school, she has a best friend almost like a sister, Serena, and a girl Katelyn joins their friend group after her friends ditched her at the beginning of the story. Parker is anxious every day and barely hanging on, and Serena is the only person who knows her struggles.
- 3. Miguel Romero is a 17 year old boy who lives with his abusive alcoholic father. One night, after his father has a massive like agression thing, Miguel decides he’s going to escape from home. He escapes and sneaks onto a bus that takes him to New York. He’s now homeless, but he meets a gang who steals and does bad things to get by, because they’re struggling like Miguel. Miguel joins but hates what he’s doing. Ngl I just started so idrk know what else to say lol
These characters all meet at the end after a massive tradgedy, and the book will end on a like not cliff hanger but like an emotional turmoil thingy.

A high school guy or girl I’ll just say guy for now idk goes to a boarding school and has a roommate and they r both immigrants to the US from same country and either the roommate or the mc I honestly haven’t thought this through enough lol like one day whoever it is like smth happens where they just like miss their home and like the other person like doesn’t rlly do anything but they tell them their legal name is like a name native to that country and they just go by X bc nobody can pronounce it listen I haven’t rlly thought this thru all the way so this is like super jumbled and stuff…
A girl w ocd is in this friend group of girls and one of the girls she isn’t as close with named Abigail like main character starts to fall in love w her but she begins spiraling like is she gay or is she not like she doesn’t know bc her ocd is like killing her and her and Abigail start getting closer and she starts calling her Abby and as this happens mc has these like intrusive thoughts and images abt stuff and at the end they have this sleepover and mc is like having a rlly bad spiral and the end is like the mc is alone and it’s like ambiguous like shes emotionally close to Abby and it’s like intense thr thoughts r rlly bad and so much so that the mc stops trying to like control her thoughts cuz it’s a lot and it’s supposed to be like consuming obsessive boundary blurring almost making the reader uncomfortable but expressed thru perception closeness and thought intensity not description

I’m a sophomore who comes from a super competitive test-in highschool in the US. I’m looking for a college counselor in hopes of attending Yale as an English major. For anyone who got into a top college, did you use a counselor to help advise you? Did they help? And super importantly, did they help you write your essays? Would you say they were helpful in getting you into your school? What school(s) did they help you get into? I’m really trying to find the best counselor so please help me and if you know any counselors please let me know what they did like help with essays etc and just anything. Thank you!
I’ve taken it 4 times and my composites have been 32, 32, 33, 32 and I know the stuff I know how to do it all but I have so much trouble with the timing. I really want a 35 (but minimum 34 because my school avg is a 34). And I’ve been practicing for months under timing and trying all these new strategies but I cannot get it done. Especially the reading section but reading and math, and I’m like on the cusp for English but I get it done. Like I know I’m very capable of answering the questions but my timing is not getting there and I’m really frustrated. What do you guys do for timing? Like is there any sort of tricks you use especially for math and reading? I have the like academic part strategies down but yeah. I know they’re intertwined very well but yk…
