Anyone remember the game Gun?

I remember discovering that game and wanting to play it so bad, but it wasn’t mine, so I barely got to see any of it. Then finally when it was given to me a couple years later it was scratched up so bad I could barely play it at all before it would just freeze. Always wanted to see how it held up in other people’s eyes. Posting here because it’s the reason I was so hyped when read dead came out and I was old enough to get it myself

Is it a normal thing for companies to rerelease “new” versions of old toys?

I was walking through Walmart and noticed the power ranger toys and it made me question if this was a money saving tactic or if it was more meant to play off nostalgia. Otherwise surely they’d release some sort of more advanced version? At least to my knowledge, toys like this came out ages ago.

Edit to add that I walked down the same isle and found the “new” spiderman silly string web slingers. Literally just the same thing as the old ones but with the new Spidey pictured on the box

Trying to find apprenticeship while in Trade school

I’m 27, and I live in Portsmouth Va. I’m currently in trade school at tidewater tech and looking for a job as my GI bill isn’t quite cutting it financially. I’ve been combing the internet for job opportunities, but most seem to only be looking for experienced techs. Is there an easier way to find an entry level job? Or should I just get some regular job until I finish trade school?

Side note; I’ve also been considering doing an electrical apprenticeship since I have more experience with that from the navy, but I assume most people here would also recommend I stay HVAC?

Joining the military screwed me socially

Hey guys, my name is Mitchell. I'm 27, and I recently got out of the military after 6 years of service. Some of it was pretty cool, and I made at least one friend I can confidently say will be lifelong, but he lives in Texas now, so unless I move out there its unlikely I'll get to see him any time soon.

I joined when I was twenty, after trying my hand at a local private college for a couple semesters and finding that it didnt seem like the right fit for me at the time, and decided to join the Navy, to get out and see the world, and also get free college after. Well, my ship ended up going into the yards for two years straight away, then our mission got changed and I ended up going to the virgin islands the entire deployment I did get to go on, so the whole seeing the world thing never happened. I had some "friends" on the ship, sure, but it was basically forced because its easier to deal with when you have someone to joke around with.

I got out of the navy towards the end of February, and since then I've started trade school for HVAC, but I've been barely scraping by with the GI bill, and have no social life really. I cant afford to go anywhere, I have toll debt that apparently accumulated while I was on deployment so I also cant update my car registration, and just feel overwhelmed.

I have a couple people I've managed to hang out with like once or twice from the school, but I dont even know them well enough to really consider them friends. My last relationship was sabotaged by my POS ex-roomate, so I have no intimacy in my life. I live about ten hours from the closest relative, so I have no family to spend time with, and even if i had friends I dont have the money to support social activities. I'm having to look at a job on top of my schooling just to even consider having a social life, which is going to lead to me having even less time to spend with anyone else, try to meet someone new, or even just have time to myself.

I know its not the worst case scenario, but I feel like a fish out of water, or like I've just been tossed into the ocean and told to swim. I essentially went from a very social point in my life to forced friendships in the military, then to no social life and no idea how to navigate today's social atmosphere. I joined before I was 21, so the idea of going to bars alone is something I've never really done and just feels weird to me. I dont know the area I'm living in well at all, so I dont even know where I'd go to meet people, and I'm just not too sure what to do in general.

Thank you for those of you who may read this for at least listening to my little rant. I dont really have anyone I can talk to about all this.

Ms Charm bug?

Not sure what happened, but I’ve been unable to get Ms Charm to talk to me, despite having more than enough Faith. My npc log says to demonstrate that I’m worth talking to, but she just tells me to go away. I’m at the point where I need Snake to get the restoration tools, but I need the necronomicon to get snake to give them to me, so I’m just kinda stuck?

Edit: Not sure if I really didn’t have the faith in my inventory or if it was just a classic “turn it off and on again,” but I loaded the game up and talked to her with the faith again and it finally worked. lol

2012 Honda Accord Coup Ex wipers malfunctioning

Recently my wipers have been remaining on far after I turn them off, then sometimes stop in the wrong spot and I have to turn them on/off again multiple times to get them to stop in the right position. Other times I’ve noticed that they won’t seem to swap to the correct speed I have them on.

I’ve been separated from most normal (civilian) people for nearly 8 years

So, I essentially went straight from school to the navy, and during that process I found that all my old friends moved on, and I had essentially forced friends on my ship, but now that I’m out I have no idea what to do.

Ive always been more of a small friend group type of guy, as I like having less but deeper friendships than many surface level friends. Currently I’ve been all alone since I’ve gotten out and it’s making me question life. I no longer have a stable job since I’m out, though I’m going to trade school. But since I’m just getting by from the GI bill I really can’t afford to go out and do anything aside from my school.

I’ve been finding myself really want to get into the alt scene and meet people (friends or potential relationship) who are also into that, as I never really got to live that life growing up.

I’ve been trying dating apps with no luck, and I’ve been looking into meetup apps for group stuff, but have yet to find anything.

What do? I am not doing great mentally due to social isolation and really want to escape this hole I’m in.
