Should I rent an 85 f/1.4?

Doing an engagement shoot but don’t know if i should rent an 85 f1.4 lens since i won’t be paid. I’m trying to build my portfolio to begin more semi-pro work and already have 24-70 f/2.8 gmii. I really love 85 1.4 portraits but with 2 people will I even use it at 1.4 other than details. It’ll be in a park and the fall colors are quite nice right now too. $60 bucks to rent for a day isn’t bad but I could use that same money for something else down the road too so I’m conflicted. Idk if it will really help me gain more potential customers or should I just focus on posing and if I get a paid customer get the gear later on?

Bevel is way too pessimistic

There needs to be a way to tone bevel down. I stupidly paid for the pro subscription and regret looking at the app everyday. As a male in my mid 20s I def don’t have a great sleep schedule but bevel acts if it’s end all be all. I bought the subscription to push myself further and it just overly scrutinizes trivial things and offers no suggestions for progressive overload. The food tracking is total garbage and constantly wants me to eat as much protein as I weight instead factoring in carbs, healthy fats, and my body composition (which I tell it everyday). And the interface when it works is great but is just so damn laggy 70% of the time.

I thought the AI was supposed to be like a coach instead it’s so pessimistic and basically wants me to go easy or don’t do jack. Will not resub unless some serious changes happen.

L2 or L3, been getting elbow pain?

All through high school I played an L2, but when I picked the game back up in college I got really bad tennis elbow. I’ve tried both l2 and l3 and they feel so similar in the hand, but on the ruler test I’m right at 4.25. Should I just stick with l2 or worth switching to l3 for a little?

RSM - The grinch’s shithole

Man what a horrible company. Brian Becker literally is the grinch. If you’re not American or have an accent at all be prepared to be treated like a USI employee. So fed of up this firm and so annoyed to have this junk company on my resume. Only way to progress is if you pull a Lorna hajdini

Trident 660 for first bike?

Local dealership has a 2022 660 at pretty much the same price as a new Kawasaki z500. I’ve only ever ridden a bike at the msf course but in general I pick up things quite quickly especially if it’s related to motor skills. Given the 2022 models are ~80hp and below 400lb do you think it’s a practical fist bike or a bit too much? My only fear is the torque but it seems manageable compared to a true sport or naked in the same cc class. I’m also a 24 male so I feel like a 400 or 500 will be outgrown within a few months.

Should I quit or try a little bit

I’m an A2 in risk consulting and honestly don’t know if there’s a point in trying anymore, but I don’t have a plan to leave either.

Long story short I did an internship and got a return offer my junior year of college. But since I was going to do a finance internship the next summer, my manager forced my hand and said I could only return if I did my 2nd internship there. Bc I had an offer my rents kinda forced me too so I did it. Then 3 weeks before I start full time, my manager calls and says I’ll be working audit busy season because I’m a January hire and there isn’t much work. It sucked so much (60-70hr week straight out of college, when my peers barely did 20hrs), and honestly felt like quitting after that.

Bc I wasn’t staffed to my local clients I made an effort to go to every event and began realizing how much of douchebags my upper management is and how much ass kissing juniors do. Around August I realized I was the lowest paid employee in the group. People kept picking my time for busy work and giving the interesting stuff to colleagues who started 6 months before me. Over time some of them even started managing me — I did 10 months of internships and these guys who started 6 months before me were assigning me the worst things, reviewing my work, and writing stupid comments to act like my seniors.

So after busy season I pretty much gave up. Barely sent availability emails, prob worked 2-3 hrs a day, stopped going to events. Recently got put on a 30-day PIP with pretty unrealistic expectations, so I’ll likely be let go.

Should I try a few more weeks or just move on? Got a few offers in spring but hate accounting so much I didn’t feel like transferring and trying for a year. I’m also so embarrassed to work here that I’ve pretty much cut off all my friends and hobbies and just doomscroll most days. Also acquired severe anger issue and road rage. My mind’s messed up rn, idk if I should just leave, travel, and take classes for a few months (I have a 2 year emergency fund). Any advice appreciated!

[Question] Best everyday watch for 6in wrist around $1.5k?

Looking to pick up a reliable mechanical or auto watch I can use all the time for either work or travel. I’ve been eyeing the Cristopher ward c63 in 36 but a little hesitant because of the polished case for a travel watch. Also thought about Hamilton kf 36mm but not a big fan of the dials. What would yall recommend?

Best leaf blower for last drips around $200?

Looking to add a cordless leaf blower to help with drying tight crevices and post drying drips. Was thinking the ego 650 given it’s on sale but not sure if that may be overkill? My cars aren’t ceramic coated but I use kcx soo3 after every wash so water kinda beads.

Why can’t bevel take inspiration from Hevy, the strength portion is horrible. Main issue is the weight/ and the stop/start nonsense. I get you have to update workout at the end to save new weights but often I change my routine a little depending on how I’m feeling so I may not hit as many sets or all exercises but the exercises I do I’d like to have updated metrics for instead of completely changing routine. Additionally when I put in weight why does it decided to jump to the next box, I don’t want to edit the whole thing, just go away after number is put unless you’re editing the whole workout. And finally the biggest nonsense: the play pause. I get it’s supposed to be a rest timer but I don’t want that, I just want to click a check that I’m done with set and edit the weight and reps if needed.

In summary:
-whenever you add exercise or do exercise, weights and SETS should be auto imported from last time you did it. (For progressive overload)
-get rid of the edit box moving to next box during workout. If I’m clicking a box to edit in a workout it’s bc I need to update that box not the whole workout.
-rest timer or play pause nonsense needs to be optional or removed. I don’t want to keep clicking play pause every minute, it’s sooooo annoying!
-if strength gets fixed, bevel is without a question worth 50$ a year, 100$ or 15$ a month is a rip off though.
-Apple Watch strength is so clunky, why do I need to scroll down to edit. If I’m looking at the set on the main screen i think there should be option to touch weight and use Digital Crown to update.

Why peloton is every thing stuck behind a paywall after spending 3 GRAND ON BIKE THAT DOESN’T EVEN MOVE! I know there are jailbreaks but when you guys have such great equipment why do you need to force our hand for a subscription? I already pay the monthly strength class fee but I draw the line at the obscene 50$ monthly fee. It’s not a matter of if I can afford it but rather why are you doing this? Is your company that badly in debt that you need desperate revenue sources. I feel like this is not sustainable and peloton will be a forgotten brand in 10 years, but there is still a chance to change your model.

I recently got a BMC roadmachine and it came with ‘Vittoria Rubino V | Tube type | 32mm’ tires but there’s no pressure range on side. Anyone know the recommended psi? I’m 163lbs/74kg and riding mostly on poor too decent asphalt
