Hi, I make games and have little Python experience. I used AI to make a few small personal apps. Are there objections to sharing them?

I make games on Scratch and am starting on Godot currently. I had AI create three simple apps for me. Would the coding community be upset with me for using AI? They are a fully local password analyser, a simple menu bar timer app, and a notes app in the menu bar. If not, I will put them on GitHub for free for Mac. I just don’t want to get a lot of hate comments.

I'm building a pixel art RPG and think I want a dodge feature.

The image above is the character you play as, and I am wondering how to create 4 simple dodge animations for each direction, likely for an attack. How would I make the animation? I am not good at pixel art, so free help would also be appreciated if you have time. You will be credited. Thanks for any ideas on how to animate it. You can play the current version of the game at: https://sullydux.github.io/Curse/

M5 Pro hardware question: How loud is the fan?

I'm looking to upgrade my Mac from a M2 2023 Air to the base MacBook Pro. I want the Pro because of its cooling, but I'm wondering how loud the fan gets. My most intensive tasks will be 3d design for 3d printing, Minecraft, and Kerbal Space Program, light to medium mods. Also, if I can, should I go from 16GB to 24GB RAM?

Does anyone know any good Godot tutorials?

I'm trying to make a simple 2d pixel art fight game as a starter project. I am new to Godot and want a tutorial that could help me learn how to use the engine. The main mechanics I want to master are side-scrolling gameplay, inventory, enemy sprites that attack the player, NPCs with dialogue, cut-downable trees, and an inventory system. What are the best tutorials that will teach me how to do stuff like this?

What is the best way to play Windows games on Mac?

Hello, when I find a game that looks fun, it is sometimes a Windows-only game, especially on Steam. Does anyone know a Windows emulator or something that I can use to play Steam games on my Mac OS Tahoe 26.5 computer?

I'm trying to make a godot mac app on Godot 4.6.3 macOS, but the export templates don't work

I am on macOS Tahoe 26.5, and I have Godot Engine v4.6.3.stable.official [7d41c59c4]  I have downloaded the export templates and when I try to export as mac app with any of the renderers, I get this error message:

Project export for platform: macoS - Failed.

•[Export]: Requested template binary "godot_macos_debug.universal" not found. It might be missing from your template archive.

It says the same for godot_macos_release.universal. In the export_templates/4.6.3.stable/ folder I have opened macos.zip and opened the macos_template.app it unzips and I went to Contents/MacOS/ and found godot_macos_debug.universal and godot_macos_release.universal and they are 184 and 200 MBs. I also re-downloaded many times. I have Verified the templates are installed in ~/Library/Application Support/Godot/export_templates/4.6.3.stable/

Is there a known issue with the macOS export templates for Godot 4.6.3? Should I download them from a different source or use a different version?

What platforms do most gamers use?

I'm wondering if I should make games for Windows, Mac, or Web. Does anyone know the best platform to publish to? I am going to try to make a game, but I prefer this info before I start.

I released a game called Secret Warfare. I would love more level sugestions.

In a world of spies, only the unseen live. As an agent in the Phantom Strike Division, you'll infiltrate, sabotage, and vanish without a trace. With challenging levels and skilled gameplay, every mission is a test of precision and timing. Are you ready to enter the world of warfare and master espionage?

You can download it as HTML or play it in a browser.

If anyone has ideas for levels, I would be happy to implement them into the game if possible.

I'm starting to make bigger games. What engine to use?

I currently make games on Scratch and want to make them with a real text based engine. I do not know much JS, and I don't know any other languages. I want to make 2d pixel art computer games. Any suggestions for which to use? I have a Mac, and want to release on a website and/or app.
