Where to get a handful of stickers with the city mark somewhat economically in the next week?

I'm visiting my home state soon and I want to slap up a few Rochester city mark stickers where I can. I know Little Button usually has a bunch, but they can often be $5 ea. and if I'm trying to get an inventory of 10-15 stickers it can add up.

Am I missing a trim piece here?

This is the bottom face of a skylight on a steeply pitched roof. Unfortunately I don't have a visual like this from when I bought the house, but this seems slightly missing something. Unless I don't know what I'm looking at, which is likely.

I do get some high winds, but I don't see any signs of distress of a trim piece being ripped off.

How important is a semi-realistic hi-hat?

I'm interested in getting my very first e-drum kit as a practice kit to get back into drumming. I still have my acoustic kit but I'd like to be able to practice without terrorizing my cats. I've settled on a kit with mesh heads, but it seems like kits with a hihat where there are two dishes separated by and actual mechanism are rare unobtanium. I have a great hihat stand, but I don't love the idea of a remote pedal with no feedback connecting to a single cymbal.

I'd love to keep the budget to under $1000 USD, which may not be realistic.

Ship recommendation for Terran Armada?

Asking what it says in the title. I've been using the Star Eagle and I know that people say this ship stops being effective int he late game but its been good to me. I'm still in my first loop through the main game and its carried me all the way with some minor upgrades. But the second or third Terran incursion is completely wrecking me. I've upgraded all the weapons systems, shields, etc but I keep getting smoked. Thinking its time to move onto a new ship.

I have the Star Eagle, Razorleaf and the ship you get from the shipbuilder committee quest. I also have about 150k banked, which isn't a lot. Any recommendations would be welcome.

Maul: Shadow Lord feels like the most Andor-inspired Star Wars yet.

I'm not usually a big fan of Star Wars animated stuff, but the new series about Maul is pretty incredible. Its not weighed down with typical Filoni "We need a cameo or reference to the OT every five minutes" malarky. It follows Maul building up his own criminal empire on a dense urban planet, similar to Coruscant, but one without any imperial presence.

Other than Maul himself, there are very scant references to other familiar SW characters, only using them when they're relevant to the plot and character development. The characters are motivated by a lot of complex morality and loyalties. The force is present, as are force users and lightsabers, but one thing is abundantly clear: the presence of The Empire is bad for EVERYONE.

It's a pretty great show. I'd highly reccomend checking it out.

Can I cast resin in concrete?

I have a project I'm planning to take on soon that will be my first artistic concrete casting project. The design will feature some recessed lettering and I'd like to add to their contrast by casting resin into the recesses, but I'm wondering if the concrete itself will arrest the resin curing.

I've made something very dumb. I hope you like it.

For some reason in my broken brain, I really enjoy the idea of combining the design of those pithy "farmhouse" rustic signs people put in their houses with phrases like "Live Laugh Love" and crossing them over with catchphrases from wholly inappropriate pop culture references. Here are some of my creations related to The Expanse.

Audio books: Dropoff in quality in book 3?

I had a quick question about audio book quality. I started with the kindle version of We Are Legion but DNF'd it about halfway through. Thankfully I gave it a second try with the audio books, especially after listening to the audio book of Project Hail Mary and they've rekindled my interest in the series. I devoured the first two books, then took a break for the release of the second book in The Captive's War series.

But getting back into it now with All These Worlds, I can't help but notice a dropoff in the quality of the narration. Ray Porter is great as usual, but the recording quality sounds a bit rougher. Maybe it was recorded at a different studio, or maybe Ray recorded it at home during COVID, IDK.

I've since adjusted to it and I'm back in the groove of listening, but I wonder if I'm the only person who's noticed this, or if not, there's any known reason why. Thanks!

New-ish to this, have questions about experiences and progressing.

So I took mushrooms a really long time ago with a HS friend of mine. It was a pretty pleasant and mild experience overall, but I was certainly expecting more in the way of visuals. At peak, the kitchen tiles were crawling slightly. I have no idea about dosage, I just remember I took 2 caps, 2 stems. No idea what strain they were. We just ate them directly. I think I might have chased them with orange juice.

Many years later I've tried them again since, and tried to be more scientific about it. I've done 2 trips recently, both times 2 grams each of Golden Teacher. I made tea both times, first time I chopped them up really finely with a knife, second time I used a grinder. I was a little more lax about the steeping time the first time around, but I know it was at least 15 minutes at 70C. Second time I steeped for a full 20 minutes.

My first trip was extremely mild. I was doing some work on my computer until I started to feel the effects kick in, at which point I went downstairs to watch a movie with great visuals. When using the computer I saw some texture crawling on the screen, but mostly the trip feels like a really strong euphoria for me. It also seems acts as an accelerant to my already strong sense of synesthesia. Its mostly a body high, but I was also fairly sedentary for the whole trip

Took the second trip this past weekend. Almost no visuals other than at one point I caught a slight "wobble" in my extreme peripheral vision. The euphoric sense was much stronger this time. Probably because I was working on an emptier stomach, possibly because I steeped it longer but I figure most of the extraction happens at the start. This time I went for a walk on a nature trail because it was a really nice day and was listening to music. Still the same heightened synesthesia but also a strong body high, to the point where my balance felt slightly off. When I got home 2-3 hours later I thought the trip was done but it picked up a strong 'second wind.' Not unpleasant, but I kind of wanted it to be over and it wasn't yet. Remembered to just enjoy the ride and I did.

I definitely plan to try again in the future, but wondering how to progress. Should I try a stronger strain? Higher dosage? Am I wrong to be actively chasing visuals or do those just not happen for everyone? Another interest for me is the mental well-being aspect. I have pretty bad anxiety and depression, and while during the trip, I experience a wonderful sense of well-being I don't normally experience, but it doesn't last for me the way others have said that it 're-wires your brain." I wasn't expecting a miracle, but I'd love to know how to engage with this more.

I realize this is kind of a rambly mess. Thanks for whatever advice you offer from it.

Is "Clearing its throat" the new Coppery Taste of Fear(tm)?

I'm on my first reread of TFOB and this phrase keeps sticking out to me like a companionable silence. They use this phrase pretty dang often to describe a minimal effort made my a person or anthropomorphized event. It could be used to describe the deathless enemies field projection weapons, or a person literally clearing their throat to announce their presence.

Does anyone else get the sense that a large amount of time has passed between The Mercy of Gods and The Faith of Beasts? When they begin discussing the idea of making the human population self sustaining, its mentioned that most of the human moiety is no longer in their fertile, childbearing years. This makes sense since the Carryx selected the most accomplished humans in their field, which mostly only comes with time and experience.

But quite a few of the main characters in The Mercy of Gods seem to be described as quite young: Dafyd, Jessyn, Jelllit, Irinna, and Rickar. Compar even refers to Dafyd as "Young Alkhor" frequently.

Has several years passed between these books? I know that JSAC are no strangers to having a good bit of time pass between books and never really mentioning it.

During the mission "Absolute Power," when you infiltrate the Generdyne facility on Neon, you'll encounter two types of enemies: Generdyne security, and Generdyne technicians. The security force is actively hostile to you - they're armed, armored and shoot on sight. The Technicians run screaming from you, taking cover and hiding wherever they can. They only attack you when cornered, and when they do, its with their bare fists.

Sarah don't care though. She just murders them while they're running from her.

I'm experiencing a fairly recent problem (last week or so) where the entire premiere interface will just freeze. After a moment, the screen wish wash to white, Windows will report that the program is not responding, and then a few minutes later, the software will return to normal operation. Sometimes these freezes will chain 2-4 times together. I've been using Premiere Pro for several years with this exact same setup. My GPU drivers are up to date. This will happen 8-10 times per hour and I'm losing a lot work time to this frustrating situation. Any help would be tremendously appreciated.

Windows 11, 11700K, 4070, 64GB of ram.
