Need help getting Better Guitar Hero III to work on Linux PC. When I try to play it the menus work fine but during the songs the fret buttons get all mixed up and I don't know how to fix it

I am on a Linux environment, specifically Pop!_OS 24.04 LTS, although I likely had an earlier version since it has been a while since I have tried to play it. I run the executable through Steam so that I can use Proton, and it works great until getting in game, where I have the fret button mixup issue as described in the title. I use this guitar,

https://rhythmgamer.com/collections/guitar-hero-and-clone-hero-controllers/products/guitar-hero-controller-pc-wireless-playstation-3-ps3-pc-clone-hero?variant=41148037726252

and it works great on Clone Hero, but the inputs are registered as keyboard inputs which doesn't work for Better Guitar Hero 3 since playing that game in keyboard mode there are limitations on what keys can be used to bind for the game. Is there either a way to go into the text files of the game and make custom keyboard mode keybinds and use the controller, or use the other mode for the controller and see what happens, or maybe even changing something with the installation entirely? I love Clone Hero and I wanna play a real Guitar Hero game, preferably on my computer, but I don't know how feasible that'd be. Thank you for your time

Is there a way to force a certain perk to be permanently active for every Hero? If I had a FFA deathmatch game mode with only Sojourn's, how could I make it so every player permanently has Dual Thrusters?

Some Heroes, like Juno or Domina, have a large portion of their default health pool as shields. What does this mean in practice?

I've always been curious about how the various health pools work, and I understand health overhealth and armor, but not shields. I've researched it but I still don't fully understand how their regeneration works. Is it similar to Reinhardt's deployable shield, where it's a large pool of health that when depleted has an increased cooldown to start regenerating? Thank you in advance

When I updated from PopOS to the new Cosmic environment for whatever reason the new sound settings page lacks the ability to select audio output levels for individual applications (and testing audio levels with a clickable sound effect), is there a work around?

Is there a way to fix the audio balancing for Death end 1 on PC? The background music is blaringly loud and it's already at 1. I don't want to have to manually adjust my entire computers audio every time I start or stop playing it, are there any fixes official or otherwise?

My Logitech Wireless Gamepad F710 is starting to get movements stuck on the D-pad and I have already replaced the batteries. Is there any way I can fix it or is it time for a replacement?

As the title says, I'm just looking for a basic answer on if there is a troubleshooting process I can do to start working on it and seeing if it's salvagable or if it's time for a replacement. When I'm playing games and using the D-pad the characters keep moving for several moments after I'm done pushing in that direction. It's also had weird limitations with the range for a long time

Shakeshack website's menu forces people to look for a restaurant location before showing more detailed information

I was checking out their website out of curiosity and apparently if you want to know more about a food item then just an image a basic overview cost and calories you have to specify a restaurant first. From my understanding this is apparently relatively common too

What are some higher level tips and tricks for Shion players to know that aren't common knowledge?

I'm talking combos, match-ups, perk selection choices, who to specifically target during a match, specific Heroes deadly moves to bait and dodge like Roadhog's hook, how to determine a safe time to use her ultimate, when to get out of dodge completely, which Heroes she synergizes well with, and overall climb higher ranks in competitive

Online PvP matchmaking video game with the brutality of Doom 2016? Like imagine an Overwatch match but when an enemey gets low you can use an execution on them like the glory kill system? FPS preferred but open to multiple genres for this idea. PC or Switch 2

Difficult dark fantasy video game, preferably real time and/or a soulslike, that's depressing the whole way through with a tragic ending similar to the default ending of Hollow Knight or the good (Not true) ending to Bloodborne? PC

I do own Lies of P, I could return to that

How useful is the universal melee attack, and which heroes benefit from it the most?

As the title says, I'm curious about this detail. When I play I don't press V super often and I'm wondering if I should be using it more often. I know that Tracer is a close combat Hero with an optional perk that reloads some ammo on a melee strike, and Genji needs to do as much damage as possible in a short amount of time, so the boosted melee damage is helpful. Amy other notable Heroes for this?

How do I edit a movie scene to remove the background music while keeping the dialogue and sound effects audible?

As the title says I just want to know how to remove the music. I have heard about 5.1 audio channels but I don't fully understand how that works or what programs to use for that specifically. I know it's possible to use some sort of noise reduction or filtering based off of a noise profile of just the music to hopefully remove it from the whole track, but I haven't had much luck. I use Linux

POV: You overextended yourself trying to kill confirm and the enemy Mei placed an ice wall behind you separating you from the rest of your team forcing you into an improvised cage match

(Also if anyone can help me find the credit for the original artist please help me out, there's no signature on the gif and I have tried several reverse image search engines only to turn up empty on the true origin?

Why do I see enemy Orisa's move around higher up on ledges so often, and why does it seem to be consistently be effective?

Just as the title says, often times when I am playing I see Orisa high up on the map shooting and throwing the javelin. It seems weird to me seeing as she is a bulky tank with several defensive options who traditionally would understand as a grounded team leader, but it's extra weird because as far as I can tell it keeps working for them, at least somewhat. Is there any particular reason for this behavior?

When I play Mei, how do I best use her ice wall ability without inadvertently screwing over the rest of the team (and myself)?

As the title says, I am looking for any advice on how to use her ice wall well. I know that I can use the ability button when placing it to flip the direction, I can see the preview, and if I end up putting it in a bad spot I can use the ability button to cancel it early. I'm confident with the rest of her kit, but the wall is arguably her most team altering ability and has a pretty significant cooldown, so how do I use it best? I know about using it to cut off routes for enemies or at enemy sniper nests to block their shots while allowing the rest of the team to still fight, as well as how having any wall no matter how low health can save the team from D.Va's ultimate. Anything else I should know or any tips and tricks?

If I am in a ranked 5v5 or 6v6 match and playing as Emre, how do I know when he's a good fit vs I should switch damage dealers for better team composition? Already researched synergies online, but want personal advice as well

As the title suggests, I am looking into playing competitive for the first time, and want to put more effort into it. I love playing as Emre, but I have a bad habit of picking a Hero for a match and sticking with it, which while it has some advantages like keeping perk EXP and practicing a single playstyle, can end up cashing problems with team synergy. I could ask my teammates for advice on who to switch to during a match and when, but the game would already be hectic and I would be adding another factor for them to keep track of. What are some other damage Heroes that play relatively similarly that have different kits to better support other teams, and when would be a good time to switch to them, either based on my team or the enemy teams composition. From my understanding Emre gets hard counted by D.Va, situations like that

I am not sure if I am fully understanding this, but from playing around a bit with Emre, he seems to be a menace against squishy flying targets like Mercy Juno and Phrarah. Am I correct in that assessment?

Recently I tried playing out as Emre, and with a relatively simple to understand kit and everything he's quickly become one of my favorite damage dealing Heroes in the game (Typically a pure healer support main like Mercy or Anna). His kit just works well and allows some self sustainability without going overboard. His ultimate, especially with the left minor perk, is so fun deals a ton of damage and is very useful. The high damage easy targeting high magazine primary fire shots seem to shred through flying targets with relative ease, and the fast reload on kills adds on to that. Am I understanding this character correctly? Either way I am having a blast
