Dealer said my Golf turbo would be covered under California PZEV warranty, if the Check Engine Light comes on. Unfortunately, the EPC light is on but not the check engine light. Is it possible the check engine light is malfunctioning (it lights up on ignition)?

PS: Initially I tried PB Blaster Wastegate Row technique without success and it has been to my regular mechanic who attempted something else which didn't work, but that was before I found out that it may qualify under Partial Zero Emission Vehicle (PZEV) warranty in California, so I took it to dealer and they agreed that it would qualify and it would if check engine light comes on.

PPS: currently in limp mode

2004 Dream Cruiser 5 speed needing work needing a new home (located in SoCal).

Hi there original owner of 2004 PT Cruiser "Dream Cruiser" 5 speed manual with turbo. Unfortunately it needs a new clutch and the power steering light is on. Its also got bad paint. We would prefer it went to a new home where someone mechanically minded could fix it up and use it. Versus donating it to scrap yard. It doesn't have a smog and cant drive right now. Any suggestions?

Rowing the turbo wastegate actuator. Should it spring back?

My 2016 TSI 1.8L got the dreaded EPC light and popped codes P256300 and P00AF00 codes. I have been rowing the actuator twice now after soaking with Blaster PB . Now it is starting to move. I can move it toward passenger side and push it back towards the drivers side (seems like it is moving about 7-10mm). Is it meant to spring back towards the drivers side after I pull it out?

I drove it after the first time and the EPC light was off for a second or two, but then came back on. However, I don't think it was in limp mode anymore, so there's some hope

Also, engines take a while to cool down lol

I put this soil in these bags and they have been in the Cali sun for 4 days. Goal: To kill off any remaining foxtail weed seeds....

...but sounds like from this post https://www.reddit.com/r/gardening/s/In8iFlepWm I found today the idea that you can solarize weed seeds in bags is unlikely. Also I didnt we the soil in advance

Foxtail weed remnants in soil prior to planting kurapia ground cover?

I am removing weed fabric and turning decomposed bark from on-top of the weed blocker, back into the soil. However, some areas of "bark" had lots of foxtails growing which we pulled but there are still some foxtail grass remnants.

Should I ditch all the decomposed bark that has foxtail remnants? Seems like a waste of good "humus".

PS: the plan for the kurapia is to till the soil. Spread some corn gluten meal, hoping to kill any weed seeds I missed and then plant the kurapia. I anticipate needing to do some weeding for sure as the kurapia fills in.

PPS: another thought was to water the soil and see if any of the foxtail weeds grow and then pull them out before I plant the kurapia. But this would only work if the seeds would sprout again this summer? I wouldn't want to wait till next spring before planting the kurapia.
