Help out the newly minted Fort Wayne Football Club! The gun maker, Smith and Wesson, is suing our club for infringement on their S&W word mark.
To share a little bit of the design process, Christopher Payne’s original concept was the inclusion of a rose and the letters were an extension of that with the letters of the monogram having thorn attributes. We ultimately abandoned the rose portion of the crest but loved the edginess of the thorns.

I need your help please.
I would like to see if I can get some feedback from our Fort Wayne Football Club community. Back in January or February of ‘25, the club embarked on a rebrand journey for the club to align with our move to USL1 and into our new home, Ruoff Mortgage Stadium. We put out an RFP and reviewed several proposals before selecting a talented artist who specializes in football crests. He has a nice portfolio with clubs in North America and Europe.
Once we completed the six or seven month process and settled on our brand marks, we immediately filed to protect our intellectual property. Much to our surprise, we received a letter from Smith and Wesson challenging our filing and claiming that we enfringed upon their copyrighted brand logo. We immediately hired an attorney specializing in intellectual property rights. We tried to explain why we absolutely didn’t steal their logo. This week, Smith and Wesson filed suit against the club. They want us to abandon our club crest.
What I’m asking this evening is your opinion on whether our club crest—essentially a monogram— is the same as the Smith and Wesson’s logo and the general public will think they’re dealing with Smith and Wesson when they see our monogram.

Long story short, over the past few years I had intermittent bouts insomnia that could last months long at a time. I could never pin point what exactly was causing it but definitely was worse when I had sex, played sports at night, or ate certain foods (at one point I noticed that steak and eggs for dinner equaled guaranteed insomnia).
Insomnia sucks enough as it is, but for it to happen every night for months you basically turn into a zombie - just hoping to survive and keep your job. Things stop mattering because you don’t have the mental capacity to care about it. Survival mode. You become a robot.
As soon as I’d be close to falling asleep I’d be jolted up w adrenaline surges. If I tried harder to sleep adrenaline all night. I tried every sleep med and routine under the sun and 99% of the time it couldn’t stop the adrenaline. Being extremely drowsy from sleep meds while simultaneously kicked full of adrenaline is a horrible feeling. Doctors couldn’t figure it out, had me do heart monitors and all these other things. I was very healthy and no stress beyond the insomnia.
Thankfully I live when I do, because hundreds of hours of internet research and then utilizing Chat GPT, I started to realize that I had Overmethylation symptoms. After using my 23andMe raw data and plugging it into numerous data computations I realized I had a CBS mutation and a couple lesser significant SNPs that that cause my body to struggle with sulfur compounds and rising the body of methyl groups. I had been eating food daily for decades that were essentially poison to me. I had also started taking certain vitamins (creatine, Sam-E, methylated B vitamins) in the recent past that was like throwing a match onto a gasoline canister.
It took a few weeks of eating niacin (flush) numerous times per day before my body became to equalize. I still need to niacin numerous time to keep from over methylating on a daily basis, but I haven’t had insomnia issues in a while. Glycine helps too, it’s just not as strong and too much can cause grey hair.
TLDR: I was literally going absolutely batshit insane w insomnia and niacin might have saved my life.
Purdue commit Luke Ertel won MVP.
Kentucky tied it up 70-70 in the 4th in game 2 yesterday, before Indiana went on a run.
I am a guard that really values traction, fit, and responsiveness. Sabrinas and Kobes have been my favorite shoes for as long as I can remember.
Picked up the pink JB3s, love the look. The traction is good, but the fit isnt quite as snug as I prefer (I do have slightly thin feet, def not wide).
My biggest issues seems to be the lack of flex/responsiveness though. I've heard these have stronger / carbon fiber soles or something to that effect and I can really tell when I try to make a quick movement, my feet just feel slightly slower to respond. Almost as if the shoe is "heavy" which I know its not.
I'll probably still playin these, just not actual league games.
As someone who is 6 ft, average strength, streaker shooter, I really rely on my handles and quickness/athleticism to give me a leg up, and it just feels like these hold that 1% back. I know that may be an unpopular opinion. I should add that I am nearing 40 so I know I am probably naturally losing some quickness - but when I play in my Sabrina's I dont notice the same issue.
I have a stubborn tooth that hasn’t quit moved to where I want it to be. Started a braces and ended w Invisalign. My orthotic brand new and tbh I haven’t been overall happy w the progress with him. It was supposed to be 11 months and it’s been over 2 years. He took over for his father when his dad retired right before I went there..
I am now on my aligners just at night and have been for 6-8 months.
Pic 1: 5pm this is the tooth that moves back slightly throughout the day. If you look closely it is not quite aligned perfectly. (Compare to the opposite side which is aligned perfectly).
Pic 2: 8am right after I take out the aligners. It’s a little more aligned in the morning but still not where I would like it.
I can tell this tooth is back a little when looking in the mirror but also just by feel in my mouth.
I’ve asked the ortho if we can use the aligners to sort of aggressively push this tooth forward a tad at night and then when it slightly moves during the day it won’t be back as far as it is.
What do you guys think?
FWIW: I did just go get a second opinion from another ortho and she said there are like 5 things that still need moved and it would probably be another $7,000. She, in a very professionally way said this guy didn’t do a great job.
Idk exactly what it is, denial, trauma, pain, sadness… maybe it’s still too soon. But I absolutely don’t allow myself to watch or read anything at all about last season. It’s like an ex who broke your heart- just don’t look at her social media and you are better off for it.
If we ever win a championship I’ll finally reach that closure that will allow me to relive and celebrate and cry with what happened last year.
I realize its a long shot being so far from the coasts, but has anyone ever had any good ceviche in FW?
Hello. I am curious which travel club does a better job at teaching skills, fundamentals, and knowledge of the game for elementary age kids?
