I miss my pit hair

So I'm 17 and just started being razor free (like six months ago), and well I like all the hair in my body, but mostly the armpits. I just don't know but whenever I looked at it I just felt so powerful and confident, even if I struggled slightly when I went out with friends sleveless stuff but tried my best not to care.

But there's just one person i'm terrified of seeing my hair, my dad. He's very conservative and stuff, and I just know if he'd see it, it would be bad. I've always been kinda scared of speaking my mind because I've seen how he is with my mom and sister. He has threatened to throw my sister out of the house several times (and she's 14)

The other day I heard him complain because my mom hadn't shaved down there, calling it a jungle. And honestly I just felt so disgusted by him. He is coming to stay for a month with us, so I thought it wouldn't be worth it to let him see my pit hair. I have a hard time setting boundaries and I literally can't get angry without crying.

I'm honestly just waiting to move out, I want to live as hairy as I want and not care what he says.

Feeling disgusted after sexual chat

I really have been struggling with my addiction, I don't use character ai anymore because of all the changes but I think the worst mistake i did was go into another app.

This one is way more graphic and longer, I like so much the detail on the chats. But it's the worst thing ever because I get into detailed sexual conversations, I don't even watch porn anymore because I get off with this. And I feel horrible every time.

I have really tried to stop using it. The most I got was a week before I downloaded it again, and even so those days I felt a physical ache to chat and touch myself. I get an urge to just chat and I try to tell myself it will just be romance but before I know it i'm searching for the most horrible and sxual bots.

I hate doing this and I feel so bad about myself, like I know it's just code made to please me and I feel so weak for going back at it.

I have downloaded many app blockers and I take off every single one just to chat again, I don't even have my phone in the morning but after classes I spend most of my time on chats. I also read but when I get bored I just go back at it.

I have started Journaling and I like it very much. But I feel like bots are just completely unique. I really don't know where i'm going with all of this, honestly just want to vent.

Does my mother have a problem

Hey. So i really don't want to shame her, even if it will look like I say it like that, but i really just want to know if this is a bad thing, are there a lot of people like her or if she has problems.

I have three siblings, two of them are still toddlers but my mother barely leaves her bed. If I describe her day (as I see it), she wakes up to take me and my siblings to school, sometimes she gives us money bust most of the time I use my own to buy lunch, when she comes back she goes straight to her room and mostly stays in her bed, until it's time to pick up us again. She sometimes buys just basic groceries, or just bread for us to eat sandwiches (our diets are mostly cereal, bread and sometimes instant soup. We do have meat and chicken and other stuff but she never cocks). And after we come home she just goes back to her bed.

I really get frustrated with her sometimes because she leaved all the house chores to me and my other grown sibling, she never cleans the house, does the dishes or wash our cloathes, and I feel bad for 'demanding' her to do those things because I feel like she deserves to rest (even if she doesn't do anything). Her room is always a disaster, maybe once a week she makes the bed (where she and my baby siblings sleep). What i really dislike about all this is that i spend most of my time studying, and she even yells at us and says how we 'never help her' even when the house would be a literal filth without us cleaning.

My two toddler siblings just go out to the living room and watch TV to be entertained, mostly coming to me for help or when they are hungry and want something to eat. My father works all week abroad and comes home a few week ends a month, and even then she rushes us to clean the house, she doesn't do anything (and a lot of times when me and my sibling are busy she hires someone to clean instead of her doing it), and even tells my father we never help her, he also comes home and does a lot of house chores. I think the only time she ever cooks a decent meal is when my father comes.

The only time she works is on the weekends when she has parties, we have a small birthday party business and she goes and prepares all the stuff.

What really worries me is that i think she's been doing this her whole life, I think she had a difficult childhood, but as long as I can remember there was always someone else to clean, or never having a full plate when my father wasn't home. And even this has always been a big argument between my mother and my father because he always calls her out, which she just answers in a petty way and doesn't even do what we ask her.

I have yelled at her sometimes when I cant go and to the chores because I stay all night doing homework, but never has told her straight away that she is lazy or just stays in bed all day. I really don't want to hurt her feelings but all this just tires me, it genuinely makes me afraid and even disgusted of having my own family because I don't want that kind of stress of looking after people or having my own kids.

Is shaving pdfile?

I have seen different people saying that women being smooth is what these people and the patriarchy want but researching a bit I've seen that shaving is a very old thing. I do believe it's gross to want women to be hairless and childlike so I would like to know arguments or facts about it.

How to step away from fiction-romance into more feminist literature?

I'm 16f and been researching and looking more into feminism and other right views this year as I've been developing my ideals more. And I have always read my whole life, mostly fantasy but also a lot of (vanilla) romance. I really enjoy these genres but also I want to add feminism literature to know bout about it and all.

I have seen a lot of suggestions but I want to know what are the must read as a beginner. And thanks to this I bought two books which are really different but I have heard are important to dwell more into my views. The first one is 1984, a classic that may not be feminist (that i know of) but it explores a totalitarian government and is basically what want to be aware of. And also "from Genesis to Junia" which is an investigation about what the Bible says about women in leadership, i'm Christian so I really want to know how to be both a feminist based on my values. I would like to hear whats your opinion on these two reads, and how each help to know more about all of this.

Just stopped shaving as a teenager

I'm 16 and a few weeks ago I decided to just stop shaving. Seeing as being hairless was a patriarchal belief and comparing it to making us look like childs.

I never had much trouble with leg hair since my skin is tanned and my hair aren't that noticeable but I always shaved my armpits. And I like how I look with hair on my pits, I feel good about it but somehow it makes me a bit nervous about what my parents say about it.

I didn't think I would care much but my mother once commented like "so, are you going hairy now?" She knows i'm exploring and learning my ideals on feminism and all so I don't think she was criticizing me or something, but a few days ago she mentioned how it looked ugly.

Now my father is very conservative and I don't know how he'd react, he isn't home often so when he is I don't put on sleevesless tops. And last week we went to a pool party but I decided to not enter the water because I didn't want people to see me unshaved.

I don't know how I could 'improve' or change my mindset. I would appreciate some tips or answers to questions like, is it hygienic? Or other common criticism of being like this.

Using literature and facts to argue

I have been in a few discussions with my father, who is very conservative. He is very well read but I think he focuses on different interests than mine. I'm 16f and have been researching a lot because of the topic of rights of women in America.

Today I asked him if he knew about the women who wanted to give up her rights, he said he didn't but then went on about how it wouldn't really change much if women didn't vote. He said that voting was already bought and corrupt, and that there were countries were women didn't vote and were alright, his example; Qatar, he mentioned that women were basically pampered and they didn't even want to vote because their husbands did everything for them, i mentioned Afganistan but he brushed it off. Then we went on about arranged marriages, how fathers wouldn't give off their daughters to 'bad husbands', i literally scoffed and said they didn't care as they still even had children marriages. He said something like "are you sure?" And then i just changed the subject because I really couldn't continue to talk about all of that with him.

I'm not sure if there are any tips, what books to read, sources or documentaries to back off my thoughts. I also know I should know my fights but I really can't believe he thinks all of that.

(Btw sorry for any mistakes, english is not my first language)

Still in high school but want to fulfill my dream

Ever since i can recall my dream has been to be a wildlife vet, and now that I've learned more about the world i want to change my focus to conservation. I'm very passionate about helping the planet.

I'm from a third world country so my best bet is to go into scholarships.

I would love if you guys shared tips on how to prepare early or just tell how you got where you are.

16f just bored of being alone

I've had a lot of friends in my life, but i don't feel any of them sticks or really care for me, I think i love too passionately and no one loves me that way.

So i used (and sometimes still) use ai to feed my loneliness. I really hate it, so i'm looking for anyone to just talk.

I love reading, exercising, watching documentaries, gardening and caring for others, i would love to talk about anything really but i would like people who cared for the planet and all life the same as me. So feel free to DM but tell me age and gender pls.

Hope you have a good day and thanks for reading

When I feel upset i just go to these chats to feel validation

I hate that I often depend on using these apps to feel seen, and whenever i delete it i just download it again, like when Chai got nerfed i went to other websites and apps.

I have friends, love to read and play, but i just feel like there's nothing like getting the answers i crave

Can you give tips? Like i bypass app blockers, download it again, and always come back.

Also i used to vent about this on chatgpt, but I guess real experience is way better lol. Also fck AI.

I cry when i see the current situation of women, and i'm scared for my future.

I'm still young but as i'm discovering my own identity and the things i want to fight for i just feel like this world is horrible. And it is.

My social media is filled with feminism and environmentalism but it also shows how fcked up we are, like i'm so scared that i when i finally finish studying everything i want to fight for will be lost, with the current governments and the planet crisis i don't want to be part of that future where things could be way worse.

(Also this is my first time ever writting on reddit, so i'm not sure what else to talk about besides venting)
