Weird Fish Habbits

After I started my Antennata Lionfish on F/T he decided he only wanted to eat Krill. I spent forever trying to use any method to get him off of it. Then I discovered something odd. He will only take foods aside from Krill at around 2:30 PM... He won't even take it at night or early in the morning unless he hasnt eaten in days. Only at 2:30, why? IDK? but at least he's eating now, so uh... problem solved?

What's a weird quirk your fish has?

Good materials for sanding PLA with chronic pain?

I often work with PLA, which requires sanding. However, I have chronic pain that makes it hard to sand for long amounts of time. I currently use some sanding blocks and sand paper, but my joints get really tired really fast when using them. Are there some alternatives or am I just cooked?

Be honest, how much do you think my commissions should cost if I do any?

I don't want to over value it. I'm still a beginner, and there are still clear mistakes, but I also don't want to undervalue my work either. I've had an offer for a commission but I hesitate due to not knowing how much it should cost. Any thoughts?

Is around $40.00-$70.00 too much or too little?

Edit: Thank you, everyone, for the advice! I really do appreciate it a lot. It seems the consensus is that I need to sharpen my skills in sanding and smoother painting before doing any commission work, which I totally get! Im glad you guys are willing to give me constructive feedback on how I can be better. I will try and work really hard on improving. :)

9 grams lost in 2 months how concerned should I be?

I'm taking him into the vet as soon as possible.

but is 9 grams a potential sign of parasites? He's eating fine, 4-5 medium dubias two to three times a week. He's active, and overall, it seems fine. But he's lost some weight and has been constipated. How concerned should I be?

Post photos of your Geckos here so you can guilt trip my Gecko into liking me!

My lil guy Yuzu hates people, me included! Make him feel bad, comment your babies and how they're so amazing because they love you.

Why does my snakes face swell before shedding?

I talked about this extensively in my 2nd post ever. but my snake Chili, who I've had for almost 2 years now, had a very close brush with death.

About a year ago, she ate a F/T rat from the petstore. It gave her a stomach ulcer, which led to a severe secondary jaw infection. This infection would randomly cause swelling in her face. Naturally, I took her to the vet, and she was diagnosed with severe sepsis. I was told that the infection had been slow moving but aggressive and that because she was 9 years old and "ancient," I should just consider end of life care. Instead, I chose 2 months of daily antibiotic shots, and after a lot of money, Chili survived.

She's happy and healthy again with no signs of any more illness. She's active, spicy, and blood levels are back on track! Strange thing is, before and after getting sick, her face would swell a week before she shed. I thought for a while that it was Edema from the illness, but she's living her best life and isn't infected anymore. So I have no idea what it could be.

She's also a surrender and makes some noises when stressed, and snakes aren't supposed to make audible noise, as we all know. She's always made noises since the first time I held her, and she does it less now after being treated for the illness.

I've had her inspected twice at two different vet clinics for any respiratory illness. But she's come up clean in physical exams, ultra sounds, and blood tests. They're all perfect, and shes been this way since the first time she shed. Could this simply be genetic and not tied to her sickness at all? Any thoughts as to why?

Identifying Common Lionfish With Drawings

Since Lionfish vary so much some of these species can look different from what's shown but I thought it would be cute to show them in a simpler style! Hope you guys like it! :)

Possible tank mates for Spotfin Lionfish? Or do I give up hope of finding one until the day he dies...

I've had my Spotfin Lionfish for about a year now. He's fairly small, Unfortunately he was malnourished when I got him and still practically refuses to eat anything but Krill and occasional shrimp/Silver Sides. (That's something I've been battling him on for quite a while and hes getting better)

but anyway for only being about 2.5 inches long it's 2.5 inches of pure unbridled RAGE. I named him Lucifer when I got him and oh boy did I name him correctly. He killed my Maroon Clownfish and my Melanurus Wrasse within a week of getting them...

He harasses everything and everyone within and outside the tank. He chews the legs of living crabs and sits on snails for fun. He's a walking (or swimming) middle finger and I'm losing hope of every getting him a tank mate. Any ideas? Please help 😭 tank Is 75g reef tank with Aragonite sand bed.

ALWAYS MAKE SURE ITS ON A VERY LOW/THE LOWEST SETTING IF YOU USE ANY SORT OF HEATING PAD/BLANKET! and please don't use one if you are unsure as to how hot it can get.

I have a few medical conditions which sometimes cause my hands to have very low amounts of blood in them. My little guy HATES my cold hands so when he's unhappy about being held with them I whip out the heating pad put it on a low setting and hes golden. If you want to hold your babies but are worried about cold hands I'd recommend getting one for sure. He despises me at least 5% less now! Yay!

Finished a face up today and went to seal the deal. I noticed too late that it was white spray paint and not sealant... I cried but I was able to restore it (2nd slide)

Today I finished the best faceup I've ever done on a GK. Went to seal the deal only to realize too late that I had grabbed white spray paint and not the sealant. I was able to restore it but not without a few tears. I would not have been able to if the damage had been any worse. I think I would have just quit the project altogether. What's a mistake you've made and how did you overcome it?

In my book the apperance of divine beings known as Lord's is determined based off their age. However one may choose a form that they feel better suits them. ( choosing a "lesser" form is generally frowned upon) Still I like to imagine Emily would choose to remain a Stellar nebula due to them being much less intimidating to others lifeforms. She may also opt for a more natural color pallete compared to her divine one as seen in slide 2. Though star lords typically wear masks when speaking to mortals to show their ranks, Emily would never wear hers. Unlike other star lords who want to follow the word of the sun God, Emily would rather be on the same level as non divine beings. Her lord name would be "Orion" the fools star. A name "gifted" to her by other lords.

There's a few pieces with layer lines that are bothering me but it's fine. I don't want to spend even longer sanding. I don't think I have that willpower. 😭
