Found up in the hills

I found these up in the hills yesterday. They are unusual for the area and there weren’t any others of this type other than these two shells. I can see that one is for a Mauser 7.63 (which is really odd), but I’m not sure about the other one. The other detail is that the non-Mauser one appears to have split. Does anyone have any insight about these (especially the non-Mauser one)?

Trains?

Hi, my partner and I are visiting Quy Nhon and Da Nang in January of next year. We are considering using the train, but we have a few questions. How is the train travel? Is it comfortable and easy? Can tickets be purchased on 12go.asia or do we need to go to the terminal to buy them?

More of my beautiful bird gifts!

These are all bird gifts. I didn’t actually plant any sunflowers this year.

A gift from the birds

I didn’t plant any sunflowers this year. The birds have given me some lovely gifts in various parts of my yard where I have never had sunflowers before.

Looking for suggestions

My partner and I are traveling to SE Asia in December and January. There are some cities we plan to visit, from China to Kuala Lumpur. We want to alternate the city trips with beach trips, but we have too many ideas to know where to begin. We want to swim, snorkel, and explore forests. We are middle aged nature lovers, prefer quiet and clean, and we don't care about parties. Some of our options, in no particular order, are: Koh Tao and/or Koh Phangan (leaving before full moon) in Thailand, Cham Island or Con Dao in Vietnam, Penang, Langkawi, Semporna and/or Kota Kinabalu in Malaysia, or maybe Sabang, Sumatra or Kuta, Lombok, Indonesia. Our hotel price limit is $75 a night. This list comes from various recommendations, from people with a variety of lifestyles and tastes.

Manifold kratky system

I’m trying a kratky system for the first time.

I had been using a raingutter grow system for the past couple of years, but it wasn’t very forgiving during the summer heat if a clog happened. My tomatoes would get stressed from even a minor clog in the system. I decided to keep the reservoir and use a bucket to keep the float and the manifold everything off of the float bucket. It really seems to be working well.

Questions about a 9mm casing

I found this 9mm shell while target shooting and I was wondering what would cause the scratches all the way around the shell. In the second picture I included a shell from my own pistol for comparison. The scratches are very even all the way around. Is this from reloading?

If I’m (as an Oregonian) selling a vehicle to a state where license plates don’t stay with the vehicle, do I leave the plates on? In Oregon the plates stay with the vehicle for a sale. How does this work?

I have a 1985 Toyota Tercel that I am trying to sell. I have it listed on eBay motors and Craigslist and I know there is a community of collectors for this car, but do you think Autotrader would be worth it? I don’t have facebook so I don’t have it listed there. How do I sell this? I am asking $1500 but would take $1000. It leaks oil and I am very clear about that, but it still runs fine.
