Hello all, first time posting in this sub as I just recently found it!! I am 25F to preface this story.
Me and my fiancé had a trip out to Washington State last weekend and upon arriving to the airport for our return flight to Chicago, we headed over to the clear security check as we’re members.
Upon walking up he scans our tickets looks us up and down & asks if I am a minor. I let him know i’m 25 and he straight up laughed in my face & said i look like a child. It was a little funny ngl but kind of mad me sad as this thing happens all the time.
I was wearing absolutely no makeup and my hair was a little crazy, and I understand asking me ID for a beverage but this was unhinged. Plus i have no idea who they thought my fiancé would be then as he’s not old enough to be a father & doesn’t look like my brother.
Additionally after coming back to work on Monday, the first 5 calls I pick up all start with “wow you sound like a kid” or “huh, you sound young”.
Glad to have found a place where people relate & don’t just tell me i’ll be thankful in 20 years. That might end up being true, but right now i’m a 25 year old woman who just wants to exist without being treated like a child.

I know it’s an irrational fear, in fact I trust the plane and pilots whole heartedly and know its safe. But my fear isn’t intensified by safety concerns or weather it’s directly related to not being in control of what happens (which is obviously a good thing as i am not a trained pilot)
I however can’t untrain my brain to accept the loss of control. Has anyone been able to let go and enjoy flying when their fear stems from loss of control rather than flying? No amount of logic or good experiences has eased it. And I have to pregame every flight to get through it, any advice is welcome, I appreciate it.

Flying from ORD-BOS today, originally was departing at 3:55. We ended up being deplaned due to brake issues, which very thankful they were keeping us safe.
Second plane arrived and was rejected by the pilots, which i was under the impression was quite rare.
Now delayed waiting for a third plane but feeling dejected as this has never happened in 25 years of flying.

I’ve been seeing everyone’s wonderful progress pics and how inspiring they are & figured I’d share my own.
I’ve been going to the gym on and off working out seriously for 4 years now & i finally am at a place where I feel I’m in the body i’ve worked for all these years.
In the before picture I was struggling with covid lockdown, overeating, binge drinking & a bad reaction to mini pill birth control. It took a lot of work and peaks and valleys to get where I am now and I couldn’t be more thankful & proud of myself.
What helped me is staying consistent with my lifts & intermittent fasting (also incorporating more veggies and lean proteins when i’m not fasting). My goals now are to improve my cardio health & lift heavier to build more muscle

Yes I know she’s large, she was designed that way on purpose, I wear a lot of costume pieces & wanted my engagement ring to still hold its own.
It is a 5ct Lab sapphire with a halo of lab diamonds, we could’ve gone natural but for personal reasons I prefer lab , totally understand if that’s not your thing though 💙
I will be looking in to adding millgrain on the bezels and resizing it a bit more snug but this is essentially the finished piece.
