Why?? I mean it seems to me that an album like American Idiot doesn't fit a string quartet. The only songs that actually work are the ballads of course. The title track is horrible in this rendition IMHO. Did you know about this?

Ok so, I have around 15 songs in demo version. Now what? What do you think would be the smartest way to produce and promote my "alternative rock/pop" project in 2026? I'm thrilled at the idea of releasing my original songs, but I use the fear of making mistakes in the promotion as an excuse to have them sitting unfinished in my HDD. Any suggestion? What worked for you and what didn't? I would like to hear from those who dared to make mistakes

Hi Everyone! I made myself a script that helps me better visualize sends when mixing in Reaper. You can see in the picture in google drive that when you select a track you see all the sends in the floating window. This helps a lot IMHO. If you wanna try that out feel free to download it! Requires ReaImGui, install it from the ReaPack package manager. Let me know what you guys think!

Hi everyone, I’m an audio engineer/musician and I’ve been working on a project where I try to replicate professional-level production using my own setup and REAPER workflows. I just finished this cover of "Boulevard of Broken Dreams".
My goal was to deconstruct the original arrangement and replicate that punchy, wide mix using standard gear, without relying on high-end studio hardware. I focused heavily on gain staging and custom signal chains to get that "polished" sound.
