Has he found them yet?
The initial main plot of Overlord was taking slow and steady steps to figure out if the world is a threat to Nazarick, which also meant figuring out if other players also got sent here. In the end, besides the rumored players of hundreds of years ago, has he met any living player?
Elite School Anime Recommendations
I've gotten back into Classroom of the Elite recently as the 4th season was airing and I'm looking for more similar anime, at the very least the whole elite school danger of being left behind setting with a school mostly ruled by it's students.
The closest anime I can think of is Kakegurui and I already seen it and read the manga. I've also seen Kaguya.
It doesn't have to be 1-1 but basically just school with elite students and a student council above them.
It can be fantasy setting or real life
Lookism Top 10 Strongest Breakdown
I mean this was clear ages ago but people just refused to believe it, or give credit to these characters, it's mostly because of James Lee glazers, they just refuse facts and live in their own headcanon.
Gun has said "I thought I'd die at the hands of Tom or Goo" and we've seen the outcome of the Goo vs Tom fight, Goo came out slightly on top.
We've seen the outcome of the fight between Tom and James, Tom dominated the entire fight and ended up with no injuries by the time Kitae came back but also fought with two disadvantages, a stamina deficit from fighting and rushing here and also his missing left hand when he's left-handed which is some crazy new information by the way.
Gun never fought Jinyoung but it's very clear Jinyoung has been the strongest guy in korea before Gapryeong came into the picture, and his fight vs Kitae was complete dominance and even knocked him out, but obviously Kitae is just pure hax like his dad and was able to just out condition him and ultimately win the fight with nothing impressive, just significantly better physical ability.
Obviously Jinyoung is not in his prime, he has been sick for years, hasn't fought people for years, and was also missing that one finger, little trick author's use, basically implying if he had the finger he would've won, his punch was 50% weaker but that one punch knocked Gitae out cold for a while which is a massive feat in of itself as I doubt that will happen again anytime soon. Would I rank Gitae over Jinyoung? I can't do that, even though he lost to Kitae, he was at a disadvantage, and was more impressive in the fight overall, Jinyoung was like the God of Martial Arts, Kitae was like a Mountain.
1# Gun 2# Goo 3# Jinyoung 4# Tom 5# Kitae
Is how I'd currently rank it, of course, this list can be widely different if we take into account SB Daniel and the current new form Reverse Eyes Controlled UI Daniel, but I think this is safe to say.
Additionally I would put James Lee at 6# position, I can't see him beat Kitae or Tom under normal conditions, definitely no chance against Jinyoung, no chance against Goo, no chance against Gun.
James is like Jinyoung a technical fighter but his technical ability is far lower and he's basically just a dodge-and-strike type of character, but his AP isn't high enough to be relevant, even if he can dodge a lot of hits and can use IA defensively, his strategy being wearing people down and using his BIQ to hit their weak-points and fight dirty, but he lacks AP and HAX. I would definitely see him struggle to close up fights, he can definitely put up a fight against all of these guys and not lose, but can he take any of them down? I don't think so, but with the other guys on the list I can see take each other down. Reminder that James has one of the lowest thresholds we've seen in Lookism, he already had 3T in Cheonliang as a teen, physically at least he's a waste, but can close the gap through his intelligence and IA, he ended the generation early because they were truly a threat to his future plans, he wasn't the most talented guy in his generation, he was quite far from it, but he was definitely the most cunning, he used his advantage early, while everyone was still low level, he abused his advantage to clear out his future competition, by crippling them ensuring they will never rise up again.
It's a top 5 list so there are matchup advantages and disadvantages. The weakness to fighters like Tom and Kitae are people using sharp weapons or attacks that can go straight through their defense like conviction, their physical advantage disappears, which is why Goo will come out on top. Why doesn't Gun fall into that disadvantage? Obsidian Skeleton, he can just tank it. The Hwarang Blade was given to Goo as an upscale in the current setting where Body is King, it's likely capable of cutting through the obsidian skeleton, and also to get rid of Goo's disadvantage of fighting with random things off the floor as the series is approaching end-game, having Goo lose cause of weapon disadvantage would be an insult to the character built over the last decade. Goo right now on paper is the strongest character in the verse, even stronger than Gun, but the reason why I still keep Gun as first is because he's the training genius, and fighting and defeating an entire generation by yourself, then path johan, prime condition goo, and sb daniel, will give you so much training material, he will come out like Namek Goku with a crazy zenkai boost. He earned his placement.
Additionally besides a Top 5 list we naturally have a top 10 list, and for the sake of actuality I will only keep alive characters, so no Paechon.
#6 James #7 Johan #8 First Body Daniel #9 Samuel #10 Jeolla
The power disparity from 5 to 10 is significant, I refrained from including SB Daniel because his true ability is unclear, he is like a wave he can be as high as the moon and as low as the sand, very unclear, SB UI Daniel is hands down the strongest character in the series granted you face him head on, Controlled UI SB Daniel should also put him in the Top 5 as he can use his ability to his fullest and just outstats everyone with his only disadvantage being a lack of masteries which is not really important as besides James, other peak FGKs and the Gen 0's anyone else has 4T, the higher your talent the harder it is to break through your thresholds, Gun/Goo/Kitae don't have 4T and they don't even have 3T, most are rocking 1-2T, your body can be stronger in base than others with masteries, it depends on your ceiling.
Allright so let's explain the tierlist, why is Johan below James? I'm giving benefit of the doubt to James here, he is behind Johan in hax, but ahead in masteries so he has a physical advantage, Johan was always known to be physically at a disadvantage but Johan, like UI Daniel can push his body through his limits and match his opponent physical state at the cost of overexertion, he can even copy prime SB UI Daniel for a short amount of time, likely longer as time has passed since and he has gained Path. So before I know for sure I will only keep him here, at 7# as for why he's above Daniel, Johan can become SB UI Daniel, Daniel can't control that, additionally Johan also has had Path for a longer period of time, and he has a stronger grasp on the Copy ability, Daniel loses his copy advantage vs Johan, and Johan does not need heat mode to fight ruthlessly and without scruples. In the off-chance Daniel turns UI, Johan can still match him for a while being one of the few characters capable of this feat in the entire series, so FB Daniel holds no advantages over Johan, and SB Daniel has even less of a chance as it doesn't even have path, as long as Controlled UI becomes a consistent thing and not a one time thing, Daniel will only then be stronger than base Johan. He would still lose to Path Johan but using your Path is also a stamina concern, matching someones physical state is also another stamina costly ability, so SB CUI Daniel would ultimately win in a battle of stamina.
Great! Now that we've discussed the first three slots, James obviously being able to put up a fight against the top 5, same for the top top 7 and 8, can the ninth and tenth place do the same?
Let's get started with Jeolla, this guy is very controversial, as he's a 'prep-time' character, his ceiling is as high as his information, similarly to James he's a fighter that fights dirty and relies on BIQ, relying on weapons to deal heavy blows and incapacitate his opponents. Even training unique skills just to perfectly counter somebody. His true ability is much lower though, he was able to take Tom Lee's hand through a sneak attack and has ran away from Tom for the last few years, only coming out after being recruited by James/Kitae. Was able to resist vs a not serious Jinyoung due to his collected knowledge on him, ultimately dealing the blow that caused Jinyong to lose to Gitae, incapacitating his thumb finger. Having 4T, deep fighting experience, high BIQ he can resist vs the top 10, and even attempt to take them down with prep-time, but that's ultimately his limit, he loses when he doesn't have information, the moment the author stops being on his side, he's done for, all PTJ has to do is put him against someone he knows little to nothing about and he's screwed, obviously as an additional cushion he also has a lot of capable goons, these characters will tire out whoever he has to face before they even get to him. His greatest strength would be that of a subordinate, having your 2nd 3rd or 4th in command be capable of putting up a fight against a groups strongest fighter is a very strong resource to have
Samuel Seo. Probably the most misunderstood character in this series, we've gotten the scaling from him already in Incheon arc.
He fought Jang Ryu, a 10000man general, two 10000 man general are capable of defeating everyone at the Gitae meeting, which would mean two of these combined would be the equivalent of a top 5 fighter going loose like we've seen Tom biting through peoples necks, ripping people through shreds with his fingers, that's the level of performance I'm expecting from these two teaming up, naturally we've never seen them perform this, but it is indeed a statement.
Without HC Jang Ryu no diffed Samuel, with HC Samuel no diffed Jang Ryu, that's a massive jump, Daniel similarly jumped that gap all the way back in his search of james arc and was capable of breaking one of Gun's arms, from harmless to threat.
With the direction Lookism is taking recently, body trumps all, Samuel in physical talent alone is within the top 3, reminder HC is a talent that Jinyoung awakened, it was a dormant hereditary trait, he was able without this trait to hold down characters like Seokdu during a time where his generation was useless vs FGKs, he always managed to somehow be ahead of his entire generation for a short period of time and then disappear from the limelight comeback once again retake his spot in the generation, the only other characters that were able to outshine him were Johan and Daniel, that's enough said.
Samuel has HC + HM on top of BIQ, his ceiling is like the Sun, he is the son of Gapryeong Kim after all, but can I see him defeat Daniel? I expect Samuel to outstat basically everyone in the series besides SB Daniel and the top 5, he would even out stat James Lee, because thats what HC does, it amplifies your entire body, thats your strength, speed, durability, and even your perception! It's basically the most OP hax in this series other than copy and UI, and on top of that Samuel is steady flexing his 2T, and for attributes very relevant to his ability, S and E, if he manages to get A as well he would complete body balance. His awakening of Strength Mastery is more than likely due to HC taking his body to the limits which makes breaking through thresholds a lightwork endeavour.
On top of that he has Heat Mode further amping his already amped up body. What is his weakness? Doesn't really have any to be honest, HC wasn't stated to have a weakness or a limitation so I guess his weakness would be PTJ nerfing him. The reason why he's only rank 9 is because of a lack of path, while he outstats practically everyone in the verse hes still behind some characters in their specialties, like for examples Tom's strength but Samuel speciality is his Defense so it cancels out.
Heat mode also allows the user to take heavier punishment to their bodies and still keep on fighting, so even if a technical fighter manages to connect some shots he would be fine, with these amps he would be just fine unless tanking an attack on the level of Conviction.
What would Samuel need to climb higher? Well obviously feats, we need him to fight the rest of the top 10 to get a firmer hold on his ability, he needs to gain agility mastery, on top of that he needs to develop his own unique skill down the line, you can't really do that without having a fighting style, and this would bring me to my final point, what would be the best fighting style for someone like Samuel? It would be something that can hold people down, the most powerful style that comes to mind that would fit him is Mujin Ssireum but I doubt that will be available to him, maybe Samuel will develop his own style.
Ultimately I can see Samuel future matchup being Kitae, as the party's designated tank it makes sense he would be the one to hold him down, and then Jake will rain down conviction punches on Kitae's head, that's how I envision this fight to go anyways, a sibling battle. All three of them inherited aspects of their Father and it would be a really hype scene to behold. When Samuel was drugged Samuel looked at Jake's face and saw a young Gapryeong Kim, immediately afterwards Samuel is shown with a finger in his mouth, clearly reverting to an infant like state, implying Samuel saw Gap as a baby, it's also the only explanation as to why Samuel is so ridiculously gifted.

Looking for Genius MC in realistic setting.
I've gotten back into anime recently and rewatched all of Classroom of the Elite, I'm looking for more similar anime. Ayanokoji is a psychopath, he manipulates people as pawns, he's strong in every field, including martial arts, but he hides himself and manipulates others into getting the result he wants.
I'm looking for a similar MC, I'm not expecting 1-1 but close, it has to be school setting because I can't imagine this being as enjoyable outside of it. I can think of similar anime on top of my head but they're not exactly 1-1 and they don't tick that many boxes.
These are some of the anime I could think of from the top of my head that some people might name that I already watched : Grisaia no Kaijutsu, but the MC isn't manipulative and the school only has 5 students in total. Another would be Assassination Classroom but I'm not exactly looking for comedy either and it does fall into fantasy. Baka to Test is similar with the tests and the rankings but it's also a comedy, and lacks that MC. Then we got SNAFU, the MC is a really smart but I wouldn't call him a genius, his inner mologues and mentality is great, and his actions as well, but he is not a combatant, and he is not manipulating people either, it's basically just a love triangle series. Sakamoto desu ga, genius MC in school setting, but hes not manipulative, and its a comedy. Lastly Hidan no Aria.
There is so many anime out there surely there has to be at least one anime that's very similar.
