I did it, I gave my DY9Z the Island Slide

With the a little hesitation and some Reddit encouragement. I took off the Z Slide that has the tungsten guide rod, and put the Dy9 Island slide on. It went right on easy no forcing, no trying to wiggle it into place. Like it was meant to be there....I loaded up 15rds in the ActMag, into the Dy9Z and took a deep breath, looked at the target and moved my head to the left; as if I was looking around the corner, LOL, and pulled the trigger, Bang. I exhaled as I straightened my head and looked at the target and dead on. Pulled the trigger again and again, and damm if I could not believe it works, especially how flat the shots were all, shots grouped nicely....yeah the spring is exposed and the frame is short, but can I tell you, If Derya Makes an Island slide for the DY9Z it will be a disruptor for the radian ramjetters. Yes, I do have one of those for the 43x and the 19. The Island does work, the slide locks back, recoil is very nice, and what is noticed is the Island slide makes the DY9Z less snappy. Someone did post that there is an insert that can be purchased to fill in the gap on the frame. If any of you are wonder if it works. I'm here to tell you it DEFINITELY WORKS AND WORKS WELL. Did you all see the New Factory Exclusive Drops?

I just went to check Derya Exclusives and they have new drops in both the DY9 and the DY9Z. I did not check for one day and damm I guess I missed these. I need to check more often. If you do see something use Gijim10 to get a discount.

Glock 43x and the Derya DY9Z

This is a comparison that briefly talks about the DY9Z and the Glock 43x Magazines at the range. Yes this is the Glock 10rd mag and how the DY9Z Act-Mag which does work in the Glock 43x, the original DY9Z magazine does not work in the Glock 43x. I'll post some more videos showing the magazines for comparison soon.

This was a good comparison not only for the magazines but respectfully in each hand at the same time.

Did you check out the Factory Exclusives by Derya. If you have not I would suggest to check them out. They have other exclusives, like the TM22 in FDE or ODG. they even have the DY9 comp.

I did get my ODG in and just paired with my Island Slide. If you are like me and you like a fully colored frame or you have a color scheme, or you just like to change it up. This is an option. Tell me what you think of the ODG with Island Slide. I also show the island on the Black and Dark Bronze frames.

Derya made a soft announcement this week did you catch it? This maybe how you can get your hands on some factory exclusives. I'm not sure what this means exactly, maybe Derya will drop some more info. I needed a Frame, yes I have looked for frames and they come and go, and this can be expensive. I also do not know if other manufacturers sell just frames??? if they do let me know in the comments.

I ordered the frame the day it was announced. I wanted to see how the process worked and if the ordering was set up correctly and how fast would I get the Derya DY9 Frame. They are sent out from Texas and I'm in Florida(smiling). The site only showed at the time a complete DY9 comp version and DY9 frames with three color options, Black, FDE and ODG. The selection process was easy, the cart, was easy to edit, and check out was very informative with my selection and the charges and No hidden fees. I checked out, I then recieved and email for confirmation of my order and it was processing. I then recieved a second email that confirmed the order was complete and a tracking number was provided, they use Fedex. I was able to track shipping which took just 4 days to my FFL. Fast shipping using Fedex...please do not use USPS!!!!

My only comment/suggestion on this and this is not an issue, The tracking number provided was not a hyperlink, I had to cut and paste into a new browser for google to locate fedex, then fedex was able to update status. I would also suggest follow emails that provide shipping info or that the package was delivered. I think if the tracking number was hyperlinked, Fedex maybe able to link that to my Fedex notifications and provide this info. My FFL uses the tracking number for me to verify when picking up. Still new web site and may have a couple of little bumps in the process.

My thoughts on this...BRILLIANT IDEA....FANTASTIC!!!....I have slides without frames. Derya must have seen my extra slides. They have a great DY9, why not sell just the frame in colors, so people can use there Glock 19 type slides and put it on the DY9 Frame with extra stuff to customize the frame...and for just a 150 beans. Well they did....Bravo Derya....

For those of you who know, I've been advocating for the Black Cherry DY9 Frame and it has been confirmed it will be done and it is hopefully scheduled for production sometime in Q3. Now that they have a Factory Direct set up, this maybe how the Black Cherry DY9 frame will be released to the Reddit Users first. Stay tuned.

Oh, you will need to set up two accounts, which you may already have one with Derya.us The second is for Derya Factory Exclusives. They do not coexist from what I can see, but this may change later.

This needs to be in your gun Cleaning & Maintenance Routine.

I have been conditioned to clean my guns more often than most, which I have to thank my Dad for that. Thanks Dad, RIP!...

I actually enjoy cleaning them and think it's a good time to talk to my son's when I do. You never never know what the topic will be. LOL I wonder if my Dad thought that too?

Anyway, I was brought up with good ole Hopps #9, the best at cleaning everything Dad would say. I think he meant it smelled and did it smell. Maybe there was a reason we did this on the patio outside or when Mom was not home, but it still smelled the house after we were done, She always knew, LOL. Years later she is 84 and I now clean her guns a 357 magnum and 38, oh and once in a while 12g. God Bless her.

Now, CLP gun oil has come along way and there is a lot of data out there for you to review. I personally have been using Lucas and it has been a solid product line of cleaners and lubricants. Get this I know it does not smell, because I've been cleaning in the house. LOL

Now I did come across this new Gun CLP Oil that has me changing. Why?

It has been developed for and used by NASA. The lubrication technology bonds with metal at the molecular level for long lasting superior lubrication. The bond is made stronger with heat and pressure, making it ideal for full-auto firearm use. Think of it like this, it bonds, protects, cleans, and decreases friction of two parts so it work better.

I have been using this for about 6 weeks now and I will say I feel a difference, I'm not a scientist or a chemist, but I notice that the oil just feels more slippery, it has better capillary penetration allowing it to get into the tightest openings. I also notice it does not evaporate or burn off. I did put this on my fathers rifles that were pasted to him and now to me. While it way to soon to say anything about that, I will say the guns I use now have all been oiled with Vril. I've had not one issue with it being on polymer frames, Cerakote parts, C-cut slides, or plastic buffers on the Beretta's. I've even used this on a full polymer frame with a metal bolt action which has made the TM22 run even better.

This is made in Florida and was released in February by the company ArgathanArmory.com

They do sell it in a 4oz bottle which should go a long way considering you should not be over oiling your guns. The bottle does have a unique drop feature that allow you to place a drop of oil rather then spill the oil. I was at a gun show and received a small sample bottle. This is not sponsored. It me passing along this product that will be main stream and more expensive once it get picked up.

I'm adding to the review, This may sound weird. I noticed that the oil does not attract as much debris, which if you think about it, is a good thing. Yes the gun is still dirty but not as much. Yes is did put this on first and then went out to the range. I've been out a handful of times since the first application of Vril oil.
