Double‑Blink Eye‑Tracked Mouse for DCS VR! | DCSmiz INSTANT 1.3.2 Update

Hello everyone!

DCSmiz INSTANT has been updated with eye‑tracked mouse functionality — and believe me, it’s really cool.

A few years ago, I made a video about ditching the regular mouse for in‑game interaction inside DCS, and I have been using that approach ever since.

However, it had a critical flaw: interaction works perfectly smooth for the forward hemisphere, but controls located on either side of your torso force you to twist your waist uncomfortably, since you cannot physically turn far enough to reach them.

Now with INSTANT, you can double‑blink to teleport the mouse cursor near your gaze point, and this is incredibly exciting.

Once you update to version 1.3.2, you will see a new standalone module called Enable In‑Cockpit Mouse. Toggle it on.

Click the question‑mark icon to view usage instructions.

If you own an eye‑tracking‑enabled VR headset, use the gaze‑based confirmation mode. Simply set a hotkey for calibration learning. No eye‑tracker? No problem. You can still rely on the fixed three‑point cycle mode to spare your waist.

Let’s go into the cockpit for calibration and training. Move your mouse over a control component, keep your eyes fixed on that component, and press your assigned hotkey. This spatial sample will then be recorded. On the client panel you will notice one valid sample has been added. You can repeat this learning‑calibration process many times to build up more samples and improve overall accuracy.

You can also clear all samples and start fresh by clicking Reset Data. These valuable learned samples are persistently saved: they remain intact even if you uninstall the software or delete the entire installation folder. They can only be erased via the Reset Data button on the panel.

After setup, inside DCS VR you can double‑blink to activate the mouse around your gaze target. Interact with cockpit controls using left‑ and right‑mouse buttons mapped to your throttle or joystick.

Happy flying!

MRGO V1.2.9 Update: Transparency Slider + Y Offset + Stable Camera Save!

Hi everyone, thank you all for supporting MRGO! Since launching on Steam, we’ve gotten plenty of positive feedback as well as lots of feature requests from users.

We’ve added the following features in updates v1.2.8 and v1.2.9:

First off, we’ve implemented passthrough transparency adjustment. A transparency slider works for both full view mode and hand tracking mode, allowing you to tweak it to get the ideal balance between virtual graphics and real-world camera feed.

Secondly, vertical Y-axis offset adjustment for the real camera view is now available. You can drag the slider to align the feed to your preferred height.

Lastly, we’ve fixed the camera index issue reported by users. The software will now permanently save your last selected camera and resolution settings, which is far more reliable than the old index-based system.

Thanks again for your support of MRGO. I hope you enjoy VR, flight simulation and racing sims just as much as I do!

How’s MRGO with Pimax Dream Air + MRGO 1E Camera? Let’s talk universal VR passthrough tool MRGO

I wanted to share a passthrough tool MRGO that I use daily for flight simulation. It works with all VR headsets and any regular USB webcam.

I’m a Pimax Dream Air user myself, and pairing it with the MRGO 1E camera works incredibly well. The attached photo shows my actual setup, with the software configuration panel on the right side.

Most built-in headset passthrough leaves a lot to be desired — blurry visuals or noticeable latency. After testing different setups, I stuck with a single-camera design. Dual-lens configurations only introduce stuttering in sims without meaningful visual improvements.

Key features of the tool:

  • Locked 30 FPS passthrough for balanced image quality and low latency
  • Custom hotkeys to toggle the real-world overlay instantly
  • Hand peek mode to quickly view physical cockpit controls
  • Auto pop-up passthrough when sensors are blocked

This software is now available on Steam if anyone wants to give it a try.
There’s still plenty of room for improvements, so I’d love to hear everyone’s thoughts. All feedback, bugs, or feature requests will be taken into consideration for future updates.

Curious for everyone’s input: What are your biggest pain points with native headset passthrough while flight simming? Feel free to leave any questions down below to discuss.
