Has anyone successfully booted their caretaker?

Sounds like this is a QLD issue but our caretaker is also the developer of the complex and has a clause which auto renews the agreement unless THEY (not us) opt out.

In my opinion, that is absolutely idiotic and I can't believe the original BC signed it.

WTF is with caretaker agreements in QLD and why do they suck? (also BC management companies suck too)

Our caretaker is a piece of work. The developer of our townhouse complex, the contract is written to benefit them and auto renews for another 25 years unless THEY opt out, not us, them.

On top of that our current BC management is also fucking useless giving contradictory and downright stupid advice (e.g. they said some things are BC responsibility but then a few months later said its owners responsibility, they also can take a week or more to reply unless they are hounded)

Shit only gets done if we remind the caretaker, its basically the absolute bare minimum and they also outsource it all anyway (gardening bins etc).

Mostly just a rant tbh but if anyone has had success ousting a caretaker please let me know.

Quality, buy for life, travel toiletry bag

I have long wanted to get a nice, quality travel toiletry bag and am here to seek your opinions. I have checked out the options from Bon Maxi - the large hanging bag but that's honestly about as far as I have looked/managed to find.

Would love recommendations, reviews and a link/picture if you can of what you recommend!!

TIA :D

Pram that fully sits toddlers upright?

I am in the market for a pram that will actually sit my 19month old upright! Currently we have a Joolz and my mum has a baby jogger. The baby jogger is just awful , even at the most upright he is leaning quite far back. The Joolz is okay but could be better!

I've seen Uppababy Vista and Buggaboo Bee (this one I can't find a lot on marketplace) but am interested in other recommendations please?

Fellow Australians, what products are we using for a variety (see below) of stains?

I have a cycling issue of pasta sauce (toddler) and sunscreen with a smattering of makeup.

I also suffer from liking light coloured clothing.

My arsenal currently consists of:

  • Omo Ultimate Powder

  • Biozet Powder

  • Vanish Napisan Oxi Action Powder

  • Disan Oxy In Wash Gel (purple - wanted the spray but was sold out and though why not)

  • Sard Bar Soap

  • Exit Soap

Usually, a combination of these has worked but I just did my usual soak, pre spot with EXIT before wash and still have some residual sunscreen and pasta stains.

What gives?

NOTE While I've asked a specific question/situation for me, I'd love this to be more a broad product sharing, tip sharing post!

Gearing up to invest in a mattress - what brands do you recommend?

I basically have a person in my life for each major brand - Koala, Emma, Ecosa, Sleeping Duck and Forty Winks.

Wanting to now turn to the people of reddit to ask their pros and cons and what they recommend as I want to capitalise on Black Friday this year and finally invest in a decent mattress!

I have also heard the frame is just as important so happy for feeback on that too.

Photobook help for iPhone photos

Hi all! I am wondering what parents have used for photos books if you have? I ordered a Popsa one but the quality of the photos is a bit average which I am guessing is due to them being iPhone photos!

I don't know if this will change much with other brands (Vista print etc) but wanted to ask?

It's either that or I may go back to printing and scrapbooking haha...

Atolea or similar jewelry brands

PLEASE NOTE: I am completely aware that buying real, solid gold may be the better option BUT this is not the post for it. I am after pieces that often do not come in solid gold OR are not worth the cost that current shitty 9k gold is selling for.

Now with that said! I am interested in people's experiences with these cheaper jewelry brands which market themselves as tarnish free and waterproof. Atolea always shows up but recently I have had a Harli + Harper open near me with similar claims.

Wondering what people's experiences are with these and if they have any recommendations?

Opinions on the Heat Pump Dryer and alternate options

Hi all! I am in need of a new dryer and have been looking at heat pump options for a while now. Big brand ones are around the $1000+ mark so seeing this option from Aldi has me hopeful but wary.

I’d love to know peoples experience and if you DONT recommend this, what do you recommend?

Thank you!

Colour choice help!

I require some help in choosing between these two! In an ideal world, I’d be able to have gray but alas nothing available second hand or in store!
So I am at a cross roads. Darken my wardrobe more or lighten it with a risky, stain attracting option!
My stain removing skills are pretty elite though hence why I am torn.

If you only could choose between these two options, what would you do?

Help: Shoe Sizing

I need some advice - I have shoes which seem to be a touch too big width wise, but most likely perfect length wise (trying size down tomorrow)

If in the event this size is best length wise, which I feel is most important, what ways could I alter it to help fill out the width?

Hope that makes sense.

Bunion friendly/ preventative, yet stylish shoes

The title is self explanatory! Apparently (according to my observant and/ or judgemental mother, bless) I have a slight bunion starting to show up on one of my feet.

I tend to wear sneakers - think Bared white leather or recently Archie’s slip ons.
Both of which I thought were quite good. I haven’t worn shoes or pointed toes in a long time.

Anyway, what are some good brands or styles that are bunion preventative or friendly but don’t look too dated?

Interested in the Omnilux Mens mask - can I use it on my body, too?

I am trying to get my head around panels but I am more inclined on the mask as I primarily want to use it on my face. That said, is there any reason I couldn't drape it on my back, neck etc if needed?

The output seems like it could help with muscle recovery from what I understand and being flexible also allows for a bit more versatility

Based in Aus if it matters - have had a try working through Alibaba options and get overwhelmed/listing information is not clear.

Hi all! I hope this is okay to post. I am on a bit of a mission to help my family improve their gut health.

I've already made one mistake of buying Kimchi off the shelf, not the fridge which is annoying but we survive.

I wanted to check if there are any fellow Aussies here and what they recommend we have in store?

I have also in the pastfavoured a brand called Giddy Citizen which does a range of biotic drinks (latest fave here: https://giddycitizen.com.au/collections/giddy-fizz/products/giddy-fizz-soda-1) - does the ingredient list actually lean itself to being beneficial?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Has anyone ordered from https://undoyourbra.com.au/ and can speak to the quality?

I have some in-built options from Uniqlo but Undo Your Bra has a far more broad range I am interested in.

I am not well blessed in the chest department so I don't need them incredibly supportive - so if that is a criticism it won't much apply to me.

I am more interested if the quality of material is good and holds up well to wear and wash, retaining shape etc.

Thank you!

Maybe it’s a bit silly but, where has the best range of mocktails in Brisbane? Being a sober lass I like feeling like I’m still having a fun drink even if it’s glorified soft drink …
