how do i prepare for a screen test?

so i recently applied for an agency equity and experience strategist at an agency. its focused on internal and external communications, delivering brand experiences, and case studies.

my experience is in creative marketing so this is my first foray into corpcomms (i have a degree in communication) i have no idea how tests are done in this area. i’d be grateful for any advice or tips.

is this the usual test for a PR Associate?

I applied for PR Associate at an agency. After an HR interview I got a skill test due tomorrow and I thought it would be a short one but it has 5 parts! A press release, data visualizations + summary + analysis + recommendation, crisis comm public statement, messaging brief, and one campaign idea.

I get it covers the whole role but to ask someone to do all these in less than 24 hrs?! I hope im exaggerating.

edit: not paid tasks at all.

2 years - no regularization

should i resign or ask my IS to regularize me? its been 2 years. first job ko to. project based siya with possibility of regularization. since first ko siya after grad akala ko talaga mareregular ako, mapo-promote, or atleast may increase. pero 2 years nako here and they just keep extending my contract. im outsourced to work for a client so technically kahit part ako ng team ng client brand, i dont necessarily get any growth from them and theyre not very encouraging. sa IS ko naman, yung KPIs ko need ko lang daw makuha ang standard scores, not outstanding. sobrang weird ewan ko bakit ganun. di ko naman daw kailangan galingan. because of this, nawawalan akong gana, parang instead na humingi ng regularization, aalis nalang ako.

im so confused abt my career

i really need help figuring this one out. my first job is a copywriter for a big brand. 2 years in and im burnt out. not that there’s a lot of workload. its just that with the surge of AI, it seems as if ‘if anyone can use AI then anyone can write’ and that completely depleted my interest in writing. that and my team not giving me any opportunities for growth plus the many creative tests i have to do just to get a decent writing full time job.

so now im searching jobs that are less creative, jobs im less passionate about. and honestly its the sucking the soul out of me. i just have no interest in these fields. i told myself i just need to get out of my current job. after all, the next switch comes with bigger salary and benefits. i keep telling myself you can just go back to being creative after some time working in a boring one. but i dont even know if i wanna be creative again. and im not sure if im also gonna give that up so easily now. my job hunting of over 4 months has made go from pursuing better writing jobs to boring ones where i dont have to do creative tests that mentally exhaust me. and what’s worse, im trying to get into a field where my best friend is in and im not sure its a good thing to be copying your friend. its her thing. and i dont wanna seem like a copycat but thats where the job market is.

stuck in a job i don’t like but i can’t resign

any advice or tips are welcome. I’ve been here for 2 years at my first job with no salary increase, no regularization, and no growth. im so scared of being stuck here. i’ve been applying everyday and when I got a job offer, they offered freelance to ‘possible’ regularization. im trying to shift into PR or corpcomm for more job security and since it’s related to my field naman. just wanna know if anyone also feels stuck but can’t resign without a backup?

career shift into Public Relations

is it possible to switch careers from copywriter to corpcomm?

i have 2 year experience as a copywriter in creative marketing. i realized the lack of job security in this field, that, and my company not regularizing me. i heard of my friends getting laid off by AI and to be honest, copywriting is an underrated job that no one looks for. they need writers but the offers and benefitd are so low as if its that easy to just come up with any copy that 4 people would have to approve. before i get laid off or before i regret coming into this field, I’m going to switch into corpcomm or maybe PR. idk how. i do have a portfolio of all my work but idk how im gonna curate my resume into something marketable in that field. any tips, suggestions, or advice would be appreciated. tia.

mababa talaga pasahod sa creatives??

im considering switching industries. ang hirap pala maging creative. not only mababa sahod, napaka konti ng benefits. and in finding new jobs, ang hirap. aside from proving yourself in a creative test, they’ll give lowball offers coz they still wanna test you out. i get it but most of the time they dont guarantee regularization. and when finding jobs, companies offer freelance only, they dont want to shoulder more responsibilities. they deceptively market a full time only to say its freelance during first interview. i feel like it takes a lot of luck and bida-bida. idk how you can break through in this industry. i must feel severely hopeless.

thinking of switching jobs

copywriter here! im thinking of branching out into another job with less writing but still in marketing. i noticed that copywriter jobs aren't as demanded, if they are, its not full time at all. i've been deceived many times for a full time and instead got a freelance or a contract that never gets regularized. any jobs that are slightly in the same vein so i could tweak my resume for that role. thanks!
