Invisible Leggings!
All the photos show a naked mannequin, but the photo of the tag shows that there is actual fabric. I’m not the seller of these, but I’ve also had pretty egregious photo issues that they refuse to correct when flagged.

Our usual strategy is to go to the Dock after embarking and enjoy a drink and some snacks. We have never tried to go up to Richard’s Rooftop in the afternoon on embarkation day. Is it open, and are they serving food from the sun club cafe that afternoon?
Last time we got there about 4:45 on embarkation day and the place was deserted, like the bartenders were just setting up. Makes me wonder if they are full service that afternoon.
I booked us a few weeks ago in 3D and 3F, same reservation, and when I went to the app to check in, they had moved me to 4F. I changed my seat to 3C because I prefer aisle. I like to keep my backpack with me so didn’t opt for the two bulkhead seats available together.
It’s not the end of the world. I can survive being separated from my husband for a few hours. Just wondering how and why this happens. (I don’t think we had an equipment change.) Shouldn’t their software keep people on the same pnr together?
I just sent in a premium box with 45 items accepted, and it seems like almost everything is marked “very good,” except for NWT items and the two pairs of shoes I sent in. Many of the items had never been worn before, so are still in excellent condition, even though I had removed the tags. Was the person processing my box just lazy? Is “very good” the highest rating something without original tags attached can get now? I kind of want to know because when I shop I usually filter for excellent condition.
After a two-day process with Bilt customer service, they finally confirmed that the hotel booking I made through their portal didn’t go through. (The only reason I knew there was a problem was that I saw a refund of the charge to my card and started a chat so ask them why.) I called the hotel directly and verified that they had no booking for me, so I knew two days ago what Bilt just told me this morning. They are suggesting I try to book again, but my $200 hotel credit is gone, as well as the $100 credit for July that I used Bilt cash for. Has anyone had this happen and gotten their $200 credit restored?
It should not be this much of a pain.
Considering whether or not to go for the Accor status. I have some Accor points that are going to expire in September so was planning to transfer some from Bilt anyway to keep my Accor points alive, but not sure if it’s worth it to transfer 15k points. We MAY visit a Fairmont property within the next year, but have no definite plans yet.
Last fall my husband and I stayed at a Fairmont property and were surprised to see that he had gold status. We have no idea how or why. We booked through Amex FHR, but I don’t think that gives auto gold status. He no longer has the gold status, but we don’t know how he got it in the first place, especially since he didn’t do a ton of business travel the prior year. He did have Delta status. Are there other programs out there that auto status match to Accor?
I guess what I’m getting at is, if my husband had gold status before, is it possible he would have it again, and therefore I don’t need to get it through Bilt?
So a college football game we really want to watch will be happening during our transatlantic cruise. I’m not sure of the time yet, but based on where we’ll be in the ocean, could be any time from late morning to late afternoon. It will be a sea day. On our last sailing the athletic club bar in the back didn’t seem to be open much. Would the Social be able to show this game for us? Any other suggestions or past experiences with watching college sports? I have no idea what streaming services they have.
From the New York Times. Anyone listened to any of these?
We have a sunset sail booked in Provincetown, and they say we can bring food and beverages on board. Any recommendations for places in Ptown that can make nice picnic boxes we can order in advance and pick up?
Does everyone get an invitation to join, or is it actually special? And will they let me join if I don’t provide my socials? I’m not an influencer and don’t really want to share my socials with them or use my socials to promote Bilt. I’m just a new Bilt 2.0 user with decently high spend who has made this card my daily driver and would actually like the opportunity to give them feedback if they’re willing to listen.
I’ve never been in a Centurion lounge before a morning flight, probably because I don’t like to get up any earlier than I have to. Flying out of CLT tomorrow morning, have to leave before my hotel breakfast opens, and wondering if it’s worth getting there a little earlier to get some breakfast in the lounge.
I think Amex’s goal when planning the menu is to have foods that are impossible or unappealing to take with you, hence all the soups, salads and other wet foods. My spouse and I were speculating on what wet, non-portable foods they might have for breakfast. We’re guessing oatmeal, a large vat of yogurt, not in individual containers, scrambled eggs, maybe some French toast already sitting in syrup. How close am I?
Just about everything in the box I just sent in was listed in “good” condition, despite over half of them being new with tags, never worn, and stored hanging in my closet, so not wrinkled or stained. One NWT item even says it has a minor stain, which is impossible because I never wore it, and I can’t find it in their photos. Other items say “materials unknown” when their own photos of the tags say 100% cotton. Furthermore, there are items I bought from Thredup that were listed in excellent condition when I bought them, I never wore them, and now they are listing them in “good” condition and one item that they previously said was in excellent condition when I bought it was even rejected.
None of these items are on the list of checkboxes when I flag items for review. Is there a way to get them to correct the materials or identify the items that are new with tags?
I usually send in a premium box and this was the “free” 10 items with a return, (which was an “excellent condition” Anthropologie dress with missing hardware) so I’m now wondering if they just treat premium boxes better.
I also bought a “final sale” item that was listed as a medium, but it’s actually an XXL. It was cheap enough that I don’t want to deal with returning it, but man I sure am frustrated with their inaccurate descriptions of things lately.
Yesterday we were driving our 2022 GLS 450 on a quiet country road and BAM! The panoramic sunroof seemed to spontaneously explode with a sound like a gunshot, and we were covered with tiny pieces of glass. A quick Google search tells me this is a known issue, and there is a class action lawsuit, but that Mercedes isn’t acknowledging it and dealers are telling people a pebble must have hit their sunroof. There were no cars directly in front of us and we didn’t see or hear anything, but even if a pebble hit us, should a $90,000 car really be this delicate?
Our vehicle is still under manufacturer’s warranty, and I would really like for Mercedes to pay for this repair. Has anyone else experienced this? Any advice for getting Mercedes to take responsibility for the issue? We drove straight to the dealership and got there 2 minutes before the service department closed, so didn’t have much time to talk to them. I want to have all our ducks in a row when they call on Monday.
I’m also hoping not to file an insurance claim because my spouse hit a deer less than six months ago in the same car. Was going slow but still enough damage that the bumper needed to be replaced for $4,000. I’ve heard that two insurance claims in a short time, even if they are not your fault, can be bad bad bad and get your policy cancelled or your rates significantly increased.
Other info: sunroof was closed at the time. Temperature was about 74F and it was overcast, so no extreme heat or anything. And we were on a quiet 2-lane road that did have trees overhead, but not many cars around. It felt completely out of the blue.
Appreciate any advice.
We have business class seats booked for an October ATL-IST flight. When I originally booked, it was a 787-9 with 1-2-1 configuration and I booked us window seats 2K and 3K. Now I see that the plane is a 777-300ER, which has a 2-3-2 configuration. (I can’t get into “manage reservation” to view the seat map in my app, but that’s another story, and I’m working on it.) I’ve also heard they change equipment all the time, and that they are retrofitting some of the 777s this year for the new 1-2-1 Crystal business class. Anyone have an updated timeline for that? I remember when I was looking at flights back in October, the ones on 777s seemed to have every other seat blocked, which I thought was very strange 11 months out, but maybe that was in anticipation of going from rows of 7 to rows of 4.
Anyway, my spouse and I would prefer not to sit next to strangers, which would happen if our plane is a 2-3-2 configuration, but if we do end up in a 1-2-1 configuration, we very much like the seats we currently have. So should I change our seats now, or wait to see if there’s another equipment change back to a 1-2-1 configuration, or if they install the new business class seats on this one?
First world problems, I know.
Anyone have experience with VV Shore Things in Casablanca? This is one port where I’d rather book through the ship than on our own. We like learning about culture, history and food and beverages. I don’t particularly enjoy the aggressive vendors in the markets in that part of the world, though I like shopping for locally made things in general. I read on another forum that there are NO bathroom stops on the way to Marrakech, so that’s probably a nope for us.
