So I played the game 4 times to complete all the endings with different ascensions.

Overall, I struggled with Crisanta as there is only one sword heart that we can use (true ending). Even though I equipped magic resist beads I still have to perfect my parries, my jumps, and even my timing of drinking biles. Her phase 2 demolished the smile off my face and defeating her brought a lot of relief lol joyous be the heart.

Isidora on the other hand I kinda cheated by using Zarabanda of the Safe Haven (thank you beloved Viridiana) to extinguish the fireballs (forgive me lol) but in my later playthroughs I went without equipping it. It was extremely difficult lol cause I had to be at a perfect spot to avoid the columns of fire and timing my blocks is non-negotiable. Also it became bullet hell fast.

But in the end, I feel I struggled more with Crisanta. It made me learn her attack patterns, her telegraphed attacks, and her waves of magic. I was trembling after defeating her haha.

Both bosses 10/10 for me though lol, I never struggled with His Holiness Escribar the same way I did with these two superbosses.

What is your experience? And if they are to fight, who'd you think will win, Crisanta of the Wrapped Agony or Isidora, Voice of the Dead?

Mine would be Mayuri vs Pernida.

A lot going on here, a mad scientist trying to subdue his newfound specimen, battling the literal left arm of god. Both parties exhausting their arsenal, especially Mayuri who modified his bankai to specifically counteract his opponents by allowing his Zanpakuto to learn by feeding it battle info. Yet all this wasn't enough, as Pernida keeps one-upping him, evolving by also learning through battle, and I was genuinely concerned that Mayuri is in the verge of being defeated for the first time in a long time. That seems to be the direction of the battle if it wasn't for the meddling of his vice captain, much to his dismay.

At the latter part, we see Nemu crash out, and the tides of the battle was seemingly again to Mayuri's advantage. But much to his shock (and sorrow? (this is huge)), Nemu was reduced to soup and was devoured by this eldritch entity, a body part of the Soul King, calling himself a quincy from the beginning.

But yet again, Nemu's brain survives, and without it her remains gives Pernida a super-cancer, giving Mayuri the victory.

Pernida, the one governing evolution, vs Mayuri, the technological representation of Soul Society, together with Nemu, the pinnacle of his creation. It is truly a battle of who evolves and adapts faster. But in the end, the nerves of Pernida cannot win against, or rather will not survive without, the brain of Nemu, and in extension Mayuri.

Morality has aesthetic standards talaga.

1. What do you make of St. Trina's torch having an eye on her forehead? I've seen some people theorize that she is the Gloam-eyed Queen due to this detail. However, being an alter-ego of Miquella doesn't square up with her being the GEQ in the timeline. OR, is St. Trina one of Miquella's "curse", aside from nascency?

2. In playthroughs where Maliketh is defeated and the Rune of Death is unbound, do you think Godwyn's body can now finally die? I'm actually trying to justify Ranni's ending, since people like to argue that due to the Night of the Black Knives, Deathroot spreads throughout the world, and thus the Age of Stars has a heavy price to pay, and the ends don't justify the means. In releasing Destined Death, can the people of The Lands Between now successfully attempt to eradicate Deathroot?

I hope this doesn't sound too political or propagandist, but I just really appreciate the women of Elden Ring. Lots and lots of games hyper-sexualize women to the point that it is only their selling point, just to appeal to the male gaze. I think the industry is extremely thirsty and hungry for well-written female characters. Some examples:

• Ranni, the most well-known NPC in the game

- Love her or hate her, I think we can all agree Ranni is the most famous NPC in the game. Stats don't lie (her ending was the most sought) and definitely her questline is the most elaborate of all. Her struggle against what should be her fate is one of her most compelling characteristics. The community either loves or hates this scheming, intelligent, borderline-manipulating blue doll.

• Malenia, the most famous (and/or infamous) boss in the game

- Almost no argument here. Even the game's marketing is fixed around her, her helmet being one of the game's promotional material. Promised Consort Radahn is hard, yes, but I think the pulse is it is a lot less enjoyable compared to Malenia, Blade of Miquella. And even when you fight her nude in her second phase, sexualizing her is only done by degenerates, and people like her boss battle for a good skill check. This is of course once people learns to dodge waterfowl lol. What makes her iconic is not her nudity, but her skill.

• Marika, the Eternal

- The game's central character. Everything in the game, in one way or another, is connected to Marika. Her seduction, betrayal, ascension, reign, rebellion, downfall, and freedom - all these are still being discussed years after the game's release. What's curious is you never talk to her, yet her trace in the story permeates the game and is the most impactful.

Final note. I do also appreciate the male ones, though that is not the point of this post. Without sexualizing them, From was able to create important, relevant female characters (how I hope I can say the same for Melina 🙁). So thank you, FromSoft, for these wonderfully-written women.

Wala po akong utang, or credit card, tapos single pero conservative masyado (gawa ng laki sa kahirapan, 5-10 pesos lang baon ko kada araw nun elem at HS ako, parents earn mga 6k a month lang dati). Parang dapat maginvest pa nang mas malaki sa ibang bagay kesa savings lang napunta, kase natatalo ng inflation yun bank savings.
