This is me on my dad’s car - any suggestions?

Came across this old photo the other day. It made me smile. My dad’s car on the drive. Circa 1960. No idea what make or model the car was. Any suggestions?

Lucky to have these beautiful visitors to our garden

More than anything else I love about our home, I just adore sharing our garden with these wild Sika deer. We have a large pond and they come to drink most days. They’re partial to a handful of rolled oats.

Curious - most forgiving hybrids?

Hi. M68 17.9 handicap. I’ve played Ping hybrids as long as I can remember. I like the low profile and shafts. I recently tried the Taylormade Qi35 rescues but found them too big and clunky for my game. Can’t help but wonder is there an easier, more forgiving hybrid out there? What’s your experience?

Duncannon - beautiful beach

While on holiday last week, we stumbled upon the charming village of Duncannon. What a stunning little place! Beautiful beach and quaint olde worlde architecture. It even has a beach sauna and well-being centre. Best if all, the coffee and bread from the Lumi bakery are to die for. We will be back!

Eric Bibb - amazing musician

I had seen Eric Bibb perform with one of my favourite singers on YouTube. So when a gig was announced in Dun Laoghaire I quickly bought tickets. Now my wife, who wouldn’t be a blues type fan, was absolutely bowled over. I was too. What a lovely man, as well as an extremely talented musician. I’d encourage anyone who has the chance, to go watch one of his shows. You’ll have a superb time.

Passage East - a true Irish welcome.

Just back from a fabulous week in Passage East. A former fishing village, a pub and a cafe plus amazing strolls along the beach. We had a nice AirBnB cottage overlooking the river. Perfect for a couple and two dogs. The lasting memory will be the friendliness of the locals. Already booking up to go back later in the year.

Played Druid’s Heath Golf Club today

It was great to get out on Druid’s Heath this morning. Very windy but nice and sunny. The course is in great condition, the greens true and fast. There’s an open competition every Thursday.

Pay as you play Dublin

New to Reddit and enjoying the many posts about golf. I’ve seen a few posts about joining clubs and struggles with time, cost, committing to play etc. There’s a great club that plays on the Palmer South Course every Saturday morning at the K Club in Straffan. Nominal membership fee (€255) with Golf Ireland handicap , then we pay 50% of the going green fee each time we play (€50/€55). It’s a fantastic course which has hosted the European Open several times. I joined 15 years ago and have been a member since then. Look up Hibernian Golf Club. https://www.hiberniangolf.com/

Cichlids are the best!

Does anyone else keep cichlids? These are our severums and geophagus. Wonderful to watch. They share their aquarium with blue acaras and a bristlenose catfish.
