You just farted in an elevator with 2 other people. How do you make yourself appear innocent without saying anything?

Let’s say it’s a silent but real stanky one..what’s your body language doing to remove yourself as a suspect when there’s only 3 of you🤨

Evicted for a demolition…that never happened..

I signed a 12m lease for an apartment at the end of 2024. Once it ended it went on month to month and around nov/dec 2025 everyone in our block of 8 units was informed that the place was sold and set to be demolished and that we have to leave by February, so I left at the end of December. I was in the area the other day and drove past the old place to find that it’s still standing and people are living there!!? So I checked online and my old apt was leased out again sometime in June, same with a few of the others.

I believe they technically haven’t done anything illegal, since they waited 6m to lease it out again. But it’s still annoying and shitty that they put all of us through that hassle which turned out to be unnecessary, since I guess their permit wasn’t even approved? Oh and of course they just had to increase the rent by $50 for the new people.

Oh and by the way! We suspected this was going to happen long before the REA confirmed it. Some men in a fancy car and cowboy hats (not joking) rocked up one day were wandering around the building, one of my neighbours chatted to them and found out they had just bought it. So we contacted the REA together asking what’s up, are they knocking it down, do we need to start planning an exit? Didn’t get a clear answer. Then couple months later a big ol’ development permit request sign appears out the front. No heads up from the REA. Only after that they were like yeah the new owners want you all out, sorry.

I was lucky that a spot opened up at my mates sharehouse, but one of my neighbours was a couple with two kids, another was in their 50’s worried they had no option but to move back in with their parents. Just a shitty situation tbh even if nothing illegal occurred.

Two depressed people but feels like I’m the only one trying

My relationship is starting to feel draining

He complains so much sometimes, work sucks, our apartment sucks, life sucks etc. and he’s so quick to anger and yell and cuss over little things (like forgetting to buy milk or not being able to find his wallet after barely looking for it) I know it’s super frustrating, but does it really warrant that kind of reaction?? It’s not directed at me but still makes me feel uncomfortable and anxious... It frustrates me that he doesn’t act like that around his friends or family, just me…

He also basically doesn’t eat (which no doubt is contributing to the mood issues) He literally lives off of coffee, and candy (like an entire chocolate block in one day, most days). He’ll eat dinner if I cook but otherwise just has some frozen pizza, or nothing. He cooks for both of us like once a month. I don’t know the last time I saw him eat a piece of fruit, or even drink juice or have a vitamin… I think he has an eating disorder but he shuts it down whenever I try to express concern. Like genuinely he’s headed towards diabetes or a heart attack and that worries me. I enjoy food and eat a fairly balanced diet, I care about my health, and more importantly I miss when we used to go out and try different restaurants together.

I know he’s depressed and I have depression too so so I get it, but…. He just shuts down any of my attempts at being supportive or trying to have an open convo and understand what’s happening in his mind. It just feels like he’s acting helpless, like he’s miserable because of everything except his own choices and lifestyle… I don’t know if I’m judging him too harshly though.. I’m autistic and kinda struggle with empathy, unless someone explains to me WHY they feel a certain way, I need to understand their emotions at least somewhat to empathise, if that makes sense.

Maybe I’m just a bad partner for feeling resentful…I don’t know if I want to break up or stick it out. I do still love him but the happy moments are rare. It feels like carrying my own load and some of his but I’m not getting that support back. I’m kinda stuck here anyway for the time being bc of finances so, i dunno. I struggle bad with decision making even on small things let alone something like this. Anyway that’s all just wanted to get it off my chest..

What can you even do in this situation (Munich)

I reached a score of 1467 in classic and this is after continuing in endless for a bit, though the situation in the bottom left side was already bad.. I don’t see how it’s possible to advance any more if I had reached this point in classic😭 The houses are just so close together and the colours mixed in with each other it seems impossible to build any working roads??

When that orange building popped up by the roundabout I tapped out🤣 does this just happen in endless mode that it spams you with so many buildings at random (and so quickly) , I though it’s meant to be the same as classic except you don’t get scored

I’m fairly new to the game so hello everyone :D

Why are earrings for women so popular across so many cultures?

Specifically just for women having both our ears pierced. When did this become a norm and why? Every woman I know has their ears pierced, but there’s gotta be a reason why this started other than it just looks nice. Some people’s parents had it done when they were a baby.. I got mine done when I was about 10 because my bestie had them so naturally I wanted them too lol.

from what I’ve observed it seems to be a thing that spans most cultures, is there any where it’s not popular? (forgive me if im mistaken in my assumption)

What would you make with four balls of this?

I knit and crochet so ideas for either are welcome!!

I was thinking maybe a loose jumper on my biggest needles? Not sure if it’d just look weird though.. Have you made anything interesting from this sort of yarn?

Thrifted yarn, is this mohair?

Got this at the op shop, did the burn test to confirm it’s some type of wool, it’s quite soft and fuzzy and almost shiny looking. Never used a mohair before so I’m not sure if this is it, or is it another type of wool?

What type of yarn is this?

I bought this second hand so it didn’t have a label of any kind, I did a burn test and I believe is some kind of wool. It’s quite soft and has a fuzzy almost shiny look to it all over, is it mohair? Or something else?

I hate celiac disease

I wish I could only eat when I felt like it without consequences. So often it’s hard to find food I actually want to eat or I just don’t have the energy or motivation to prepare something. And I have to do it multiple times a day, every single day?! for the rest of my life??

It was easier before I was diagnosed celiac.. I could just eat bread when I didn’t feel like anything else, I never got tired of a nice bread, but gluten free bread is shit. I barely touch it anymore. If I want a decent baked treat I have to make it myself, or pay 2x the regular price at a cafe, and often it’s half the size and some bullshit that’s also raw or vegan. Why we are all lumped in to one convenient health nut category, I don’t understand. I WANT JUNK FOOD TOO!! I DIDNT CHOOSE THIS DIET!! If you eat gluten free without having celiac or an allergy, do you just hate yourself or what?

I have to check the labels of everything I buy, can’t spontaneously go to a restaurant or cafe to eat, can’t have any of the good shit at gatherings, have to worry about where/what I’m going to eat if I travel, knowing that even with the best intentions your friends/family might cross contaminate your food , and deal with employees telling me they don’t know what’s in the food. I’ve worked in multiple food establishments, check the goddamn allergen list, I KNOW you got one back there🤨 just lemme look at it myself…

It’s been years since I was diagnosed so you’d think I’d be used to it. But it still makes me miserable, and I envy all of you with healthy digestive systems. Me, wheat, and rye used to be sooo tight. I wish I didn’t have to eat every day because it feels like torture when it doesn’t taste good. But if I don’t then I feel awful, so alas we must just cope.

Aussie knitters, where do you buy yarn aside from lincraft/spotlight?

I’m based around Melbourne but online store recommendations are welcome too, just not keen on paying overseas shipping costs! I’m looking for variegated yarns, mohairs, cotton, wool, chunky yarn, and “fun” yarn. I’m not sure the technical term for the fun yarn but ones that have pom-poms, various textures, colours etc. sometimes all in one skein.😅 I get a lot of ads from temu of those exact yarns but I refuse to buy from there.

Let me know your favourite places to shop!!

I think we should only eat the meat of animals we could slaughter ourselves

I’m not vegan or vegetarian but I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately. I know I couldn’t come face to face with a cow or sheep and kill it myself.. so it doesn’t feel right to eat it? It feels like cheating, going against nature in some way to be so separated from the process lol. I could kill a fish though, maybe even a chicken if I was desperate. I think the cruelty of factory farming is what makes me feel uneasy though.. Where I grew up my grandfather would go hunting so sometimes we’d be eating venison instead of bought meat. Or fish from going fishing ourselves. It feels more ethical in that sense, even though I still didn’t do the killing or butchering, but at least the animal got to live in the wild, and get a chance to survive if it can escape. And our family was only taking what we need, not letting anything go to waste.

I learned today about how women pick up on subtle scents on men that indicate that you would be compatible in making healthy offspring, which makes them more attractive to you, and my godd it explains so much. I’ve known a few guys in my life that I wouldn’t even say are my type, they’re cute but logically I know we wouldn’t be a good match because of personality/lifestyles etc. so I have no desire to actually be in a relationship with them. But sometimes I just want to jump them sooo bad to the point where I feel awkward talking to them because there’s a primal urge (dunno how else I could describe the feeling) inside me that wants to do them so bad. I would be so embarrassed if it was somehow noticeable in my facial expressions or the way I talk to them, and I don’t want to make anyone uncomfortable, so I just avoid them a bit💀 Plus I have a boyfriend already…obviously I’d never act on these feelings because I’m not a cheater, even if I was single it would be messy considering that I’m not into them on a cognitive level, and because of existing friend group dynamics, so I’d probably avoid it regardless lmao.

Do any other women feel this way or am I just a bad person….
