Found new fishing spot

Found new fishing spot

Caught a bunch of nice Tilapia but hoping for a bass. Caught 6 big Tilapia and 7 smaller ones, all in an hour or so. I'll put a couple Tilapia in the comments if I can.

Would a bearing work?

I need to replace the back wheels with the balloon wheels but the current axle is 10 mm, the new wheels are 20mm. Could I put bearing(s) inside the new wheel? What size is recommended?

Community Baitshop survey?

I stopped to check Baitshop prices for live bait of shrimp and bait fish shiners or greenbacks... Much too high imho at Kracken Tackle in Fort Myers. $14/shrimp, 24 shiners, $28 / large shiners. If you remember the price you pay please post Baitshop name and prices.. We can use this as a resource to find good bait shops. Thanks!

Fishing Report Venice Fishing Pier today.

Today only ladyfish and large greenbacks caught. Baby porpoise around the pier. Got here early morning. Talked to a local as he was packing his car. He got 2 small pampano under 14 inches on shrimp.

Looking for a fishing pier that is actually open between Naples and Sarsota

As the title says I'm looking for a beach with a functional fishing pier between Naples and Sarasota.

AI is unreliable as hell, you my brothers are not. Thanks for your time.

I'm not much of a fishing guy but this dude is convincing to go buy a rod for no reason.

Fathers Day present early.

New Penn Battle combo and my bait rig. I'm going to break it in tomorrow at Nickomus Beach. I know the jetty is better fishing, but it's a "granddaughter day" and I am taking the opportunity. Can't wait to hear that drag scream!

Using tilapia for bait?

I catch tilapia in the mornings. I'm getting my old saltwater rigs cleaned up and the Calossahatchee River goes through town. It has Bull sharks, Tarpon, and Snook.

Has anyone successfully used tilapia for bait for big fish?

Shimano Baitrunner 4500 and 6500

Picked up fishing after 15 years, my 2 old reels are relatively ok except the little line wheel that spins as the line leaves the spool is crudded up. Any tips to clean them, both still spin. Thanks for your time and expertise.

Question about my old reels

I recently took up fishing and dug out a couple of my old +15 years Shimano Bait Runner 4500 and 6500, both with ugly sticks. I washed the dust off and wiped and dried them. They seem fine. I always rinsed them with freshwater after use. Should I attempt to disassemble or just buy new reels? What reesl would be comparable ?
