I J's wanted to vent ,i don't have friends,so bear with me for a little

Hey,I’ve been debating whether to post this or not. It’s honestly more of a vent than a search for solutions, because a part of me feels like it’s already given up.

I’m a 20-year-old female, and I’ve lived with continuous abuse and violence for as long as I can remember. Even so, it feels like I haven't really lived at all. My memories of childhood are blurry and disjointed, but I know there wasn't any happiness, just violence, bullying, and harassment. Between the ages of 10 and 13, I was harassed by three different men: a neighbor, and two brothers who each owned local sewing shops. I never told my family because they were abusive themselves, so I carried it all alone.

Lately, I’ve been having recurring nightmares about a predator going after a little girl while everyone stands by, unable or unwilling to save her—including me. I thought about reporting those men to the police, but I have no physical evidence, I’ve never seen a therapist, and I live in a very traditional, strict environment where speaking out would only bring more harm to me. It breaks my heart knowing other children might be suffering the same way while I stay silent, but I feel completely powerless.

Yesterday, it hit me just how repetitive and unending this life is. I'm constantly hypervigilant—reading people’s expressions and moods, never able to rest or drop my guard. My life doesn't feel like my own. Expressing a disagreement leads to being degraded; refusing a task because I’m exhausted or unable to do it leads to physical beatings. My body is covered in scars I constantly try to hide. Yesterday, I was beaten again, leaving fresh marks on my arms and back, simply because I was too exhausted to do the laundry.

A few months ago, I attempted suicide. I took medication, but as it set in, I became terrified of dying. I survived, only to end up crying and feeling ashamed that I couldn't escape. I had been working so hard to save money and get out, but everything fell apart. Continuing on just feels impossible when you are this bone-weary.

Right now, I am completely drained—whether it's severe burnout from pushing myself too hard or my depression pulling me back down. I feel consumed by guilt for feeling "useless." My mom is grieving the recent death of her mother, and on top of that, we are facing an urgent crisis to reclaim our home after selling it to my uncle, and we need to clear things up and settle the situation (nfarghohalo w nkhrjo). I want to be there to support her, but I have nothing left inside to give.

I’m just so incredibly tired

Eh😮‍💨I wanna die

How do I edit my raw audio to sound like the first clip in this video? (Simple setup)

Hey everyone!

I’m pretty new to audio editing and working with a very simple setup and basic effects.

In the video attached, the first clip is a reel I found with the exact voiceover sound I’m trying to achieve—it feels super close, warm, and crystal clear. The second clip is my raw, unedited voice.

Since I don't have fancy gear or advanced plugins, what simple, basic effects or edits can I apply to my raw audio to get it closer to the clear, polished sound in the first clip?

Any easy, beginner-friendly tips or step-by-step advice would be super appreciated!

[FREE / COLLAB] Voice Actor looking for beginner Audio Engineer to team up on portfolio samples!

Hi everyone! I'm an aspiring voice actor building my initial portfolio reel, and I'm looking for a beginner audio engineer who wants to collaborate.

I have a few short, clean voice recordings (30–60 seconds) that need basic EQ, noise reduction, and level balancing to make them pop.

What’s in it for you:

Full credit on my portfolio and future posts whenever the audio is used.

Full permission to use my raw and edited voice files in your own mixing/mastering portfolio or demo reel.

If you're looking to practice vocal processing or add fresh voice tracks to your showcase, drop a comment or send me a DM!

Does anyone here uses "wave editor", please I need ur help

Note:i'm not an audio engineer.

I accidentally tapped the three-dot menu in WaveEditor and hit "Clean Recents." Now all my recordings have disappeared from the app's recent list.

Does this option actually delete the audio files from my phone's storage, or did it just clear the app's history? If the files are still on my device, where are they usually saved so I can re-open them? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Forgot to insert my eye pin before my homemade cold porcelain dried! How can I attach it now without breaking the piece?

Hi everyone,I made this piece out of homemade cold porcelain clay, but I completely forgot to insert/glue the pin before it fully dried.

Now that it’s rock hard, what is the best way to attach or insert the pin without cracking or damaging the piece? Can I carefully drill a tiny pilot hole, or is there a specific glue/method you recommend for dry cold porcelain?

Thanks in advance for any advice

How does Nara Smith get that ultra-soothing voiceover sound?

I'm not even that into cooking, but her voice keeps me locked in every single video. I really want to learn how she gets her mic to sound like that.

For the audio pros and voice actors here: how much of this is vocal control (chest resonance, soft-spoken delivery) versus mic technique (proximity effect) and post-processing (compression/EQ)?

Any tips on how to replicate that clean, intimate tone would be awesome!

Attachment issue🥲

When you spend most of your time playing it cool and keeping people at arm’s length, basic kindness hits different.

I’ve noticed a pattern: I don’t talk to guys much unless I actually need help, but the moment someone is patient, helpful, or just plain nice, I instantly get attached. It’s like the 'nonchalant' exterior is just a cover for how easily impacted I actually am by genuine warmth.

Learning to separate someone just being a good person from a deep personal bond is a work in progress.

What should I dooooo😭??

Why does my clay shrink and pull away when covering an aluminum foil core

Hi everyone! I’m running into an issue when sculpting over an aluminum foil core. Whenever I lay the clay over the aluminum base, it ends up shrinking and warping/cracking like this: [Attach your photo here].

Is this happening because:

It isn't drying/curing properly?

The layer of clay over the foil is too thin or too thick?

Polymer clay / air-dry clay shouldn't be wrapped tightly over a solid aluminum base?

I'd love to know what might be causing this and how to fix or prevent it. Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated

Would paradise..

Would paradise stop making us incomplete, unreal?

Would it stop letting us be ugly?

Would we finally be pure, unheavy souls, feeling joy to its absolute fullest?

And would paradise let us enter it with the right ones... or are "the right people" just a myth?

Would we have to pretend we were never heavy?

Or is paradise the only place where we are finally allowed to be tired?

As a voice-over artist looking to partner with content creators, what is your best advice

Hey everyone! I’m a voice-over artist looking to start working collaborating with YouTube creators.

For the creators here: what specific qualities do you look for in a voice-over to keep your viewers engaged?

If you know of any channels that feature incredible, engaging voice-over work that I should study, please drop them below. I’d love to check them out!

Also ,What are your absolute dealbreakers when it comes to audio quality? (e.g., background noise, pacing, editing status)

Do you generally prefer clean, raw vocals that you can edit yourself, or do you expect a VO artist to deliver fully polished, timed audio?"

Want to do free voice-over work to build experience, but where do I find people?

(Idk even if I should post here)but I'm looking to get some practice and build up my portfolio by doing free voice-over work for local creators or projects.

I already tried posting on Facebook, but I didn't get any replies. Also, I don't really have professional samples ready to show just yet, which is why I'm a bit stuck.

Since my voice is currently recovering from a minor cold, I’m mostly looking to connect and discuss details over chat/text for now so I can jump straight into recording as soon as I'm 100% better.

What's the best way to post about this or find people who might actually be interested? Any advice on where to look or how to word things would be awesome

Turned my doodles into these tiny bookish clay accessories . Honestly lost on how to price them—any advice?

Hey everyone,

I’ve recently started a tiny passion project working with clay to bring some of my fun, bookish doodles to life. I wanted to make accessories that feel cozy, a bit whimsical, and deeply connected to the quiet joy of reading.

So far, I’ve sculpted a mix of things:

Quirky text-bubble paperclips ("Read Me!" and "Don't Kill the Plot")

Spooky little ghosts and tiny cat paws 🐾

Cute green frog thumb page-holders 🐸

Textured, patterned diamond page-weights

Every single piece is shaped, dried, and painted entirely by hand, so they each have their own unique personality and tiny handmade details.

Since I am just starting out, I am really struggling with how to set my rates. I want to respect the time and effort that goes into shaping and hand-painting small, detailed pieces, but I also want them to be accessible to fellow readers who love this kind of cozy aesthetic.

For those who sell or buy handmade clay crafts, how do you usually handle pricing? Do you charge a flat rate based on the item type (e.g., all paperclips one price), or do you base it strictly on the complexity of the design?

I’d love to hear your honest feedback on the vibe of these items and any advice you have on how to value handmade art without under- or over-pricing it.

Thank you so much!
