Quicken users in the USA are likely dealing with transaction total rounding due to the discontinuation of the Cent coin. Many businesses disregard that there are literally BILLIONS of Cents still in circulation and routinely round transactions to the nearest 5 Cent mark. This means you may pay 1-3 Cents less, or 1-3 Cents more depending on the rounding used.

Have you determined that rounding is significant enough to split into separate income/expense categories? If so, how have you set them up?

For now, I adjust the splits to account for rounding, rather than categorize it separately.

Recently, Mystic Stamp Company has begun selling USPS stamps at a discount to their face value.

On their website, they offer sets of 100 for different purposes: Postcard rate, First-Class Letter rate, and International rate. Discounts are 25-30% off face value. Both denominated and Forever stamps are being used to make up the sets.

I am not questioning the practice. However, I feel this may have the unintended side effect of imparting a sense of legitimacy to criminals who flood uncontrolled marketplaces like eBay, Facebook, and Craigslist with counterfeit Forever stamps.

I am in Maryland, north of DC, and for several hours, only radar has been available from the National Weather Service website. The dashboard and the detailed hourly forecast are down. They display a "Sorry, an unexpected error occurred" message. I have tried different browsers and a VPN without success.

It feels like there is no air conditioning at Westfield Wheaton mall. At least on the upper level by Costco. 🥵

It seems every website has a different price. Once a month, I update a spreadsheet of the precious metals in my collection to determine an overall base (non-numismatic) value. Currently, I use an average of seven websites:

The spread is $1.02. The average is $53.71. Only three sites seem to agree. Is there a reliable, accurate source that I can use to simplify my updates?

In my Aldi, there are usually dozens to hundreds of different items, with no price tags on the shelf or bin. Should there be scanners located around the store so you can check prices before you get to checkout?

EDIT: I don't know if I'll get to Aldi today, but I'll post pictures if I do.

EDIT 2: I was a little harsh with the "dozens to hundreds" line. My Aldi seemed to be pretty good with shelf tabs today. I did notice no prices for 1% milk jugs. As well as a freezer bin holding about 15 different items, and only four tags.

I called and was told "sorry" 😂 On my way to find another route home.
