Hot at Wheaton
It feels like there is no air conditioning at Westfield Wheaton mall. At least on the upper level by Costco. 🥵

When I walked up to the machine, I could see it was packed with red and yellow coins. I grabbed three handfuls and I knew there was more. I decided to make off with what I already took, as it mostly looked like Euros.
I counted and weighed them when I got home. There were 70 coins, weighing 11 1/4 ounces. The majority were Euros, including my first from Croatia, with a smattering of Japan and Canada.
It seems every website has a different price. Once a month, I update a spreadsheet of the precious metals in my collection to determine an overall base (non-numismatic) value. Currently, I use an average of seven websites:
Site (Current Silver Spot)
The spread is $1.02. The average is $53.71. Only three sites seem to agree. Is there a reliable, accurate source that I can use to simplify my updates?

This ~12 inch mushroom was growing along the side of the road in Montgomery County, Maryland. An AI search came close, but this one looked more ragged than the suggestions. The whole neighborhood is ripe with different ones.

I got this from a cashier, as there is no way a machine would have handled this. They joked it must have come from a dye pack, but my thought it was a marker that subsequently faded.
In my Aldi, there are usually dozens to hundreds of different items, with no price tags on the shelf or bin. Should there be scanners located around the store so you can check prices before you get to checkout?
EDIT: I don't know if I'll get to Aldi today, but I'll post pictures if I do.
EDIT 2: I was a little harsh with the "dozens to hundreds" line. My Aldi seemed to be pretty good with shelf tabs today. I did notice no prices for 1% milk jugs. As well as a freezer bin holding about 15 different items, and only four tags.
I called and was told "sorry" 😂 On my way to find another route home.

I found a nice haul at a Coinstar that had been frustrating me recently:
3700 Columbian Pesos
3.05 British Pounds
50 Central African Francs
1 polished-smooth Dime (my 2nd)
1 metallic "Express" clothing button
$1.11 in spendables (not shown}

I'm in the White Oak Area. Last night, and again today, I keep hearing bomb-type fireworks going off. I suppose people who didn't already lose an eye or a hand are doing their best to join the club.
On Tuesday afternoon, I observed pallets of escalator parts being brought into the Wheaton Metro Station lobby. (they were huge gears with multiple bars connected to each.). I assume any repairs would take some time. Would they always leave two running while one is out of service?
Scene outside the Fairland Public Library 23hrs after the Primary election.
I arrived at White Oak late in the afternoon to vote. Deciding to use one of the three touchscreen devices, I sat down in the third position in the queue and waited for my turn. Once I was called, I finished quickly as I had pre-marked a sample ballot to guide me. There were four people in the line waiting for their turns when I left.
The entire time, at least 20 minutes, someone sat at the center position and appeared to do nothing but read a stack of candidate fliers. One person ahead of me actually left to switch to a manual ballot because it was taking so long. I know you have the right to show up with no idea in advance who you will vote for, but don't waste other people's time.
I am a member of a club that has held its monthly meetings at the Margaret Schweinhaut Senior Center in Silver Spring for several years. Last month, they learned that they were among several clubs whose contracts/agreements with the Center were terminated. They have since had to relocate to a public library, seven miles away. As the Center still advertises that they offer rentals, was this occurrence county-wide, or just at this specific location
Some tips to make preparing these a little easier:
I was shopping and the employees said to leave. Strobe lights are flashing. There is a low siren going off. No police activity on Fenton St
The poem inspired the lyrics and music for RUSH's 1977 song "Xanadu." As well as "Welcome to the PleasureDome" by Frankie Goes to Hollywood, and "Sacred Mind" by Blind Guardian.
They Said He Plays Bass Better Than Me... so I proved them wrong.
When Davie got to the live "Leave That Thing Alone" solo, he gave up trying. :)
The Aldi in MD 20904 has the White Chocolate version of this marked down from $3.29 to 49 cents! Not going to lie, I snack on it. (Avoiding the nitrous oxide propellant.)(As of 5/23)
