I have opened commissions. Basically, I use acrylic yarn to make rugs. The biggest I do is 4ft and smallest is 20 inches. Would appreciate some feedback.

I’m a custom rug artist and I’ve been experimenting with the idea of turning rug artwork into functional bags/pouches.

I’m looking for a bag maker who might be interested in collaborating on a few experimental pieces.

The idea is simple:

I make the custom tufted artwork panels

You handle the bag construction/assembly

We combine both and see how the final product turns out

Right now this is purely a creative collaboration — no monetary expectations involved. I just want to test concepts, learn, and see if there’s actual demand for something like this. If the results are good and people respond well, we can explore taking it further later on.

I’m mainly interested in streetwear-style bags, sling bags, pouches, totes, etc.

I run a small handmade custom rug business( I mostly do anime, cartoon, meme and original designs) and I’m thinking about expanding into tufted cushions/pillows (decorative) as a new product line. Everything would be made to order, with customisation options. I’m trying to figure out if this has real demand or if I’m just liking my own idea too much. A few honest questions for small business owners / sellers:

1. Do you think tufted cushions are something people would actually buy.
2. Would anime/custom designs attract buyers, or is that too niche
3. What price range sounds realistic for handmade custom cushions (1ft by 1ft size)
