Today brought even more reason to celebrate: we received our second-ever certificate of appreciation after two years of operation—along with lifetime free anti-rabies for our rescues from our amazing vet! Even with our currant outstanding balance, they blessed us with this incredible recognition. My heart is so full.

Sorry it took some time to post an update! The other day, we had to lock in with our school project, so I have no sleep yet. Yesterday, I also had to get checked for the back pain that I’ve been dealing with for 10 days.

But good news!

Nimbus had his surgery, but to lessen the risk under anesthesia, he only had the dental prophylaxis and extraction. Three teeth have been extracted. We will have his castration once he gains much strength and when he's not so vulnerable. We’ll get vaccines for him first once he recovers.

He is still confined at the vet to keep him stabilized and to address his soft stool. He is also recommended for laser therapy for his wound in the mouth.

We paid all his balance for now, but tomorrow, new costs will come up:

Confinement: ₱1,680 per day
Laser therapy: ₱840 per session

I will go back later to bring another mat/bedding for him; he pooped on his bed so the vet had to remove it.

We see this poor little guy wandering right outside the vet clinic. Upon closer look (please watch the video), his mouth issue is extremely severe and painful.

Our hands are already full right now, we are managing ongoing FIP treatments and caring for several other sick rescues. But his mouth condition is severe, and we simply cannot turn our backs on him.

Not the best and not so cat update for now.
We attended the expo earlier today, and the venue was extremely overcrowded with a lot of people. There was a lot of walking and long lines involved.

Unfortunately, my lower back is in so much pain right now. It has been acting up for almost a week now, and I'm getting a bit worried because the pain just won't go away. So, bear with me if I cannot update immediately. 😭🙁

Just carrying my little warrior close. Forbie is still in the middle of fighting FIP, but right here, right now, she is completely calm, staring straight into the camera like the brave soul she is.

Every single day is a battle, but she faces it with so much quiet strength and grace. We aren't at the finish line yet, but looking into her eyes tells me she's ready to win this. Keep fighting, my sweet girl. 🐾

Pawsitive will be attending the final day of the World Pet Expo 2026 (September 27, 2026, from 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM at the World Trade Center Metro Manila)!

Forbie: Great news—Forbie is doing so much better! 💖 She had a vet visit recently to check on her progress. While she's making good strides, she still needs to stay on her medication and keep her inhaler handy to manage her asthma episodes whenever they flare up.

Winona: Little Winona had her vet trip too! She officially got her final vaccine dose for the year! 💉✨ Up next on her health journey: getting her spayed once she’s at the right age and weight. 🙏🏼

Gem is making steady progress and showing interest in her food by meowing and approaching her bowl, but she still relies on us to hand-feed her. To help her regain her strength faster, we are hoping to transition her to high-calorie prescription recovery food (such as Royal Canin Recovery wet food, which costs around ₱2,952 for 12 cans).

Because recovery food can add up quickly over time, we are looking for a generous sponsor or donors who could help cover a few cans (or send wet food directly) to support Gem’s daily feedings as she continues her recovery journey. Every single can makes a huge difference!

Structural inspection complete! The boss gave her stamp of approval, and the gang wasted zero time moving into their new high-rise. Before the dust even settled—or the ribbon could be cut—her crew staged a full penthouse takeover. It’s now fully occupied and completely chaotic, with nobody willing to yield the top floor. Safety regulations? Ignored. Rent? Never heard of it. 🤪

GEM — We managed to bring Gem to the vet! The great news is that she tested negative for Parvo, but is battling a severe Upper Respiratory Infection (URI).

TAAL - He hasn't been to the vet yet, and we still don't know what's wrong. Taal urgently needs a direct sponsor so we can run diagnostic tests and get a clear picture of what’s happening.
