I have some funds in my account that will expire in a few month. I think these are from a referral.

Can I purchase an eSIM profile with these funds to avoid the funds to expire?

Am I correct in assuming that the eSIM profile will never expire and can be used even a few years down the road when I need it?

Would this work to unlock the Pixel 10? I get the phone but I never activate it on the included annual plan. I give the annual plan to a friend.

I purchase a separate 3 month plan from Mint mobile and activate it on the Pixel 10.

Would that procedure unlock the phone after 60 days?

Napr. Tello Mobile (USA operátor) má neobmedzené volania na Slovensko za $8 (€7). Pre porovnanie Radosť neobmedzené volania stoja €23. Samozrejme nevýhoda je, že za roaming sa platí extra, ale pri volaní cez Wifi (VoWifi) sa nič navyše neplatí. Takže pre home office si myslím že dosť dobrý paušál.

Ako môže US operátor ponúkať neobmedzené volania na Slovensko za takú malú sumu, keď to na SK stojí oveľa menej?

EDIT: Pozerám teraz Terms & Conditions a spomína sa tam limit 1000 minút mesačne, čo za takú sumu je stále atraktívne, ale žiaľ nie je to neobmedzené.

I am getting the Pixel 10 phone with the one year of service. After 60 days, when the phone unlocks, I will probably have no use for the plan and would like to sell it. What is the easiest way to do this and what should I watch out for?

- I am assuming I can change the email address for login and probably the owner's name as well?

- Can I safely delete my credit card / Can I be sure Mint mobile will not charge my original credit card when the new owner wants to renew his plan after a year?

- Creating a new eSIM and transferring to a new phone should not be a problem I assume

I have a "60GB, Talk & Text - Plus" plan that I signed up earlier this year with a pre-owned phone financing. Do these plans generally come with free call forwarding or is there an extra charge for using this service? I am of course talking about forwarding to another Canadian number, no long distance.

If I get a new phone that comes with the $55 plan for a month. Then after a month I want to switch to the $25 plan, how hard is it? Do I just do it online? Is there a fee to switch plans?

I read a post that certain cell phone companies in Canada (mostly Bell/Telus) will whitelist smartphones by IMEI to enable access to their VoLTE network. Is this true for Fido as well. I am thinking of getting a "gray market"/ unlocked (from US carrier) phone and I am risking that my phone will not work on the Fido network.

Has anyone encountered this problem lately with a brand new (i.e 2024/25/26) phone? And what did you do to enable VoLTE if it was even possible?

Does anyone know whether it is possible to send emergency off-grid satellite messages from an iPhone 16E if the phone is locked and has no SIM card?

Is there a list of phones that support satellite messaging when off-the-grid? I am specifically interested in iPhone 16e, Samsung S26 and Samsung A37.

And also, would this service be included in my current Fido plan or is there an extra charge to use it?

I would like to get the iPhone 16 E deal and I am trying to figure out which number to get, so I can use it to port to Metro to get the iPhone and the $99.99 + $55 deal.

I see that Infimobile has a plan for $5. Would that work or should I get the Tracfone $10 plan?

Hello. I was wondering if when I try to connect my old Samsung Galaxy S2 phone from 2011 to Fido, will I incur extra charges? I know that using 2G can come with a surcharge, but this phone is a 3G phone as far as I know.

I want to use it as my dumbphone device to reduce my screen time usage but I still want to be able to receive/send texts and phone calls.

Will I be safe to use this phone and not incur any extra charges? Thanks in advance...

Occasionally I keep getting these Emails Usage Remainders from TracFone telling me I could lose my number and stacked talk, text and data. It doesn't tell me by when I need to use my phone.

Does anyone know what is the longest I can go without TracFone number use without getting disconnected? My expiry is the middle of 2027 and I was kinda surprised when I got the first email.

I use this number very seldom and I am afraid I might miss another email. So I will have to set a reminder and send a text/ make a call every month.

But it is kinda frustrating. Would they actually disconnect me before my number validity date?
