Family is in Japan trying to find me some tea from the first flush harvest- Is this any good?

I can’t really find any information on where to buy what. They are in Osaka/Kyoto and were told you could easily buy the Uji harvest in the supermarket.

They’re going to Okinawa and the smaller cities around for a while. I was looking to get some Sencha, Gyokuro & Genmaicha since those are the usual ones I know. I’d love to try other types if anyone has recs!

Anyone know recommendations for brands or types or where to look for it? 💗 It would be greatly appreciated

When in Korea, do you buy from Olive Young or LotteDutyFree?

I thought Olive Young was the best way to go but, I saw a few people saying to avoid it and simply buy from LotteDutyFree because it’s cheaper and better prices? Though, I’m not seeing a lot of brands I usually buy from :[

Does anyone have any suggestions or advice? I’d also love to know your favorite essences/toners or moisturizers to grab when there! I have no idea how the app works and how I’m meant to pick it up from the airport 😅

Can someone please explain step-by-step how Lotte Duty Free app works in Korea?

How does Lotte Duty Free app work? 🩷 This is my first time using it!

My family is abroad in Korea for a short while and they’re very unfamiliar with these things so, I figured I’d just purchase everything for them online from my end here in Canada!

All I know is: (1) Products are cheaper on the app

(2) They are duty-free and don’t count as luggage

(3) You pay online and simply pick them up at the airport.

I was told I need their passport or ticket numbers and, I’m having a bit of trouble understanding where to start? How does this all work?

I’d really appreciate it if someone could explain this to me like I was 5 🫶🏻

Is it difficult to get Eevee Pokemon cards/ packs in Japan?

I’m talking about those mystery packs you ‘unbox’ and they’re beautifully designed with holographic art! The Pokemon Center DX in Osaka didn’t have anything at all! Are these hard to come by? :(

I was really hoping I’d be able to get some in Japan, and not from scalping upcharging resellers online.. I wanted to frame them since it’s my favorite Pokémon and all their evolutions!

Anyone know where to get one please? 🤍

Affordable Japanese Denim and Knives in Osaka, Kyoto or Tokyo? (Help!)

I’ve been to a few places and the denim is 200$ USD (I’m Canadian). The knives are SO expensive as well. I’ve heard Tower Knives Osaka is good though?

Are these the real prices or am I going to tourist traps?

I’m here for a few days. I’d really love to gift someone a nice surprise. I’d love some help, advice suggestions for stores please! 🤍🥹

Affordable Japanese knives? Kappabashi street?

Hello! 🌷 I have a budget of 150$ (CAD) to spend on a knife as a present for a sibling who’s a great chef!

He wanted some Yakima stainless steel objects but, I’d also like to secretly gift him a knife since they’re good souvenirs I see in everyone’s posts and hauls online! I know knives can be rather expensive to buy and, I know very little about them other than stainless steel vs carbon ones! I’ve heard Kappabashi street is the place to go for it!

If anyone has any tips or suggestions for stores- I’d love to know! I love supporting local and would love something beautifully crafted and original. 🌷

If this is outside my ballpark budget, then I understand as well and would love any constructive criticism on what to bring back instead~

Are these the most popular sunscreens? What would you stock up on?

This little lot cost me nearly 100$ from Stylevana to be able to test out which sunscreen would be best suited for stocking up on during Japan/Korea trip!
I know how much cheaper skincare & sunscreens are there in general~ I was wondering if I'm missing any brands or specific sunscreens? Any recommendations? 🌷

Looking for anything safe: acne-prone, sensitive & fragrance-free! What sunscreen would you bulk buy, if you had the chance?

PS- is OliveYoung the best place to bulk buy from in Korea?

It’s completely unopened, untouched and just received. I bought it as I’m usually the lightest color but, Tower 28 seems to have a lot of range. I was in a rush during the sale and just assumed 1.0 BH would be good.

However, I really don’t want this to be wasted or thrown away if I exchange it for my accurate shade? Will this happen?

I can try to use it and some bronzer to make it work if that’s the case.

EDIT; I called and asked and was told it’s fine! As long as it’s untouched and they can look at it and see that it’s unused- it’s resold right after! :) The associate was so sweet! I’ll be returning it/exchanging for my shade! Is this true though? Or soemthing they tell customers?🌷
