kWh on test drive

Hi, I am taking a test drive in a 2021 premier edition pro in a few days. I've noticed in the photos I've seen of these cars it displays the battery percentage and miles. Is there a way of displaying the kWh? If so, can anyone give me pointers on how to get to it through the menu? I've googled with no success and I only have an hour. I don't want to waste it in the menus rather when I should be driving. Thanks for any help.

Ix3 used test drive.

Hi,
I will be test driving the ix3 premier pro 2021 this week. I have no experience of electric cars having only driven old diesels for most of my life. What should I look for? How is it best to test drive it(I hope that isn’t a daft question) thanks for any help.

Assessment period

Hi,
I will go over the £6000 limit for a day as my parents are giving me some money to help buy a car. It will be in and out. Do I need to declare this? I will be well below the next day. Thanks for any help.

Buying used approved advice.

Hi I am buying a used approved IX3 which is year 2021. (UK) It comes with a battery quick report which lacks details. The report says that the battery is 100%. From reading below there could be a variance of up to 5%.
The car is used approved with all their checks and warranty etc. I don’t know much about EV,s as this is my first. Is a quick battery health check enough to buy a car? I don’t really understand what this is and probably wouldn’t understand a full report. From what I see from BMW this is their standard practice. Below is what it says on the report.

“This quick evaluation is based on algorithms of the high-voltage battery software in the vehicle and does not represent a binding result, but merely an indication of the current remaining capacity of the high-voltage battery. In particular it does not replace the detailed measurement as part of a battery health certificate.”

“The specified capacity indicates the battery capacity available in the vehicle compared to its new condition and represents only the value at the time of diagnosis. The value is determined by the battery management system. The specification does not allow any predictions to be made about the further development of the battery capacity, which is largely determined by individua driving behavior and external influences. The capacity determination in the vehicle is subject to a certain degree of variation due to the nature of the system, which varies depending on the battery generation. This vehicle is equipped with a high-voltage battery generation that has a maximum variation of 5% in at least 95% of reference measurements. The value determined does not justify any warranty or guarantee claims.”

State of health advice

Hi, SOH advice. I'm looking to buy an EV from a main dealer. Will the State of Health show me how the car has been charged? Such as always to 100% or mainly on fast chargers, etc. Also, which charging regimen is best, and what can I expect in terms of battery degradation? Is there a typical percentage it will lose? Current car I am looking at is the Mercedes EQC.

Dealer used cars

Hi, I’ve noticed on the Kia dealership website that there are some dealer used cars and that I should contact them for warranty options. Are these company cars or are they test drive cars? I would imagine buying a diesel one would be a bad buy. Does anyone know about these?

Daughter starting small business along side job

Hi my daughter (20) is currently employed on a part time basis. She is also an artist and a local shop wants to sell her work and take a percentage. She don’t have any business experience and I don’t have any experience of business to help her. Whilst talking to the shop owner she already got her first order so there is a customer base. What we don’t understand is how tax works. Is there any resources we can read, YouTube would be good for her to watch as we are dyslexic. She doesn’t want to get into trouble and wants to do things the right way.

Elvanse, increase in dosage.

Hi, I was recently diagnosed with ADHD. I started on 30mg and have been slowly increased up to 70mg. I have found that on the 70mg dose. I feel that on this dose I have gone backwards. I have become irritated and angry like I used to be when I wasn’t on medication. My focus is good on this medication at all doses. Does this mean I need to lower the dose or do I need to try another type of stimulant? I am dyslexic so I hope this makes sense.

Advice on upgrading controller

My dual sense has stick drift and I want to replace both sticks and I would also like to add extra buttons underneath the controller handles. I can solder as I am a retired electrician. The problem is I don’t know what items I need to buy and which are good for FPS games. I have no idea where to begin so any advice or videos to watch would be appreciated. Apparently, I need to jump and slide around like a lunatic on Battlefield 6! I don’t have the dexterity to use the normal buttons

PS5 vision and controller settings

Since season 3 I don’t seem to be able to see the enemy as good as I used to. Does anyone have a guide I can follow to help out? I use thermals on my weapon drops but until then I really struggle. Also, any season 3 controller setting guides would help me a great deal. The games gone from great fun to can I be bothered to put the disc in the PS5

University problem

Location- England
Hi, my partner is about to finish a degree in nursing. She is on LCW and receives a small housing payment. During her degree she became ill and is now in a position where she has to catch up. She has to catch up on placement hours at the hospital. The issue is that her degree officially finishes in June but she will have to continue doing her placement hours until about November. The placement work is unpayed and she won’t be receiving any university payments after she finishes in June. She’s getting into a poor mental state due to the worry of having no income. Would she be able to claim any university credit? Is she best talking to her university for assistance? She has become a little frozen so I’m trying to help her. Her goal is not to claim any benefits and work as a nurse. I also do not live with her. Thanks for any advice

Sorry if I wasn’t clear she gets UC LWA. She is concerned that going to work, even though it is a placement, might be seen as work and affect her benefit. I will tell her to go to citizens advice

Enemy locations

In short range or medium range, how do you locate the enemy? For example, when I was in a house, I was struggling with being overpowered by a team. The team I was with was killing a few of them but I struggled to locate exactly where they were. How do you locate when the team you are with doesn't ping or shout out? When they are firing do you look at the compass or mini map? By gameplay really suffers in these situations. Any help or tips appreciated.

I play on the PS5 and I have tinnitus and even with all the great accessibility options for tinnitus I still can’t use headphones. So, I use my TV to game but I want to use a mic to communicate with any teams I play with. I’ve used the controller to talk through but I believe it creates an echo(correct me if I am wrong) Are there any other options (or settings for controller) I can use to make my voice clearer? Like a stand alone mic with active noise cancelling? Any advice is appreciated!
