Future suggestions for HOTA to buff magic class heroes?

I play PVE so I might not make the most informed recommendations. But I kinda feel that the game favours might more than magic heroes.

  1. might heroes dominate in the late game compared to magic heroes - attack and defence scale very well while spell damage becomes obsolete in the late game and knowledge isn’t impactful then

  2. might heroes roll for better secondary skills - offence, armory, logistics while magic heroes roll for less useful secondary skills - scholar, mysticism, learning etc. Might heroes are also guaranteed to roll for magic schools and wisdom

  3. RNG nature of obtaining good spells - magic heroes are dependent on obtaining good spells as part of their playstyle

  4. some might say that magic heroes have an edge in the earlier stages of the game in clearing neutrals and snowballing but the issue lies also in having sufficient spell points to keep up.

I think HOTA has done a good job in closing the gap between might and magic heroes such as buffing sorcery, reworking useless secondaries that magic heroes tend to roll like first aid, spell research (though it can still be expensive), nerfing logistics and removing artificers like orb of inhibition. But kinda feel that might heroes can still do everything that magic heroes can but not vice versa. I can’t see any reason at present on how magic heroes have an edge over might ones.

Some possible suggestions on my end, though I’m not sure if it might break the balance of the game:

  1. remove the guarantee for might heroes to roll for wisdom or school of magic secondary skills

  2. allow for damage spells to scale better with spell power

  3. allow for magic heroes to use spells twice per round?

  4. allow for magic heroes to have better chance to roll for important adventure based secondaries like logistics

  5. classes that tend to gain knowledge like wizards should have higher chances to gain spell power instead

Apex Ava inspired by Ava Max?

Aside from their name, Apex Ava shares Ava Max’s former trademark max cut hairstyle (one side short one side long hair)

How are Lana albums numbered?

Lana considered “Did You Know That There's a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd” as her 9th album from the album cover. It led me to think was “Born to Die” then considered her debut album? Or was it “Lana Del Ray”? If “Born to Die” were to be considered her debut then “Paradise” would have to be considered her second album in order for things to add up. But I remembered Lana didn’t consider paradise as an album but an EP

Bible Scholars who are Christian, do you hold to Nicene creed doctrines?

I hope this post isn’t taken down because it would primarily be about matters related to biblical scholarship.

In my past few years learning about biblical scholarship which was one of the key factors that led me to convert out of Christianity, I’m curious as to whether Bible scholars who identify as Christian hold to the nicene creed because it does seem that popular views go contrary to core Christian doctrines.

For instance, I learnt Bart Erhman taught that the historical Jesus likely didn’t believe his role was to die for the sins of humanity because of the imminence of the coming of the kingdom of God. It wouldn’t make sense to preach about his death being a sin atonement because the end was coming. Rather, to enter the kingdom of God, one had to repent and demonstrate righteousness. Considering that most Bible scholars today agree that Jesus was an apocalyptic prophet, wouldn’t that go against the core of the Christian faith which is about Jesus dying for the sins of humanity? It seemed that the historical Jesus taught something closer to Jewish rather than Pauline Christianity.

One of the core teachings of Christianity involves the trinity. It does seem that many Bible scholars point out that the synoptic gospels suggest that the historical Jesus did not view himself to be God eternal, and some also claim the earliest Christians also do not hold to this trinitarian view.

In light of the above 2 examples, I’m curious if Christian Bible scholars do hold to nicene creed doctrines

Any guesses to the lore behind the scrapped D3 “King of the North” expansion?

I still secretly wish that blizzard would complete the unfinished King of the North expansion though I think it’s unlikely. I was trying to piece together the possible lore of behind the additional lands added in adventure mode which correct me if I’m wrong was initially intended for “King of the North”.

Map of act 2 sees the addition of the shrouded moors and the temple of the firstborn. From the lore, it does seem that after the nephilim’s victory over angels and demons, a Nephilim cult of sorts begin and its members were attempting to use dark magic and blood to ascend to a higher state (reaching the same powers of the Nephilim champion?)

Edit: the Shrouded moors and temple of the firstborn could have been intended to be located in the Skovos islands since Tyrael and Lorath were talking about Horadrim sent there in adventure mode. They would have been sent to investigate the Nephilim cult operating there as their base. The one who leads this cult would be Vidian, the lord of envy which you will slay in the temple.

Map of act 3 sees the addition of the ruins of sescheron where it explores the aftermath of the destruction of Barbarian society by both Baal and the destruction of the world stone. Probably the role of the player is to lay the souls of the barbarians to rest seeing that so many souls were roaming around the ruins

Map of act 4 sees the addition of different realms - realm of cursed fate, realm of infernal fate etc. Possible that these are creations due to the aftermath of Diablo’s invasions of the high heavens and his tampering of the crystal arch? Though not sure what the player’s goals are to be

Edit: the realms could be where Leah’s soul is residing in and the goal of exploring these realms is to lay her to rest

Map of act 5 sees the addition of greyhollow island. I love the mystery and horror of the lore behind this island where it used to be a thriving civilization where the inhabitants practiced human sacrifice to a demon which they unknowingly worshipped as a goddess - Nereza. Ultimately, the high cleric’s son - Rayeld woke up from the insanity of his religion and killed both his father and Nereza. Nereza seemed to have inflicted some kind of curse on the island at her death which drove Rayeld to insanity and he became the crazed man in the island. Not sure what happened to the island’s people though Nereza’s curse seemed to have mutated the animals there to become monsters. Likely the goal of the player is to investigate the island due to Quentin’s disappearance and release Rayeld from his cursed state (which you do when you fight him at the top of the tower after collecting all of the island’s journals).

If there was only one additional act 6 for the expansion, it would seem to be a really big act to accommodate all these different plot lines in one act

It’s in high likelihood that we would receive some form of new Diablo game/additional content reveal in Blizzcon 2026 since Blizzard teased this year is the year of the Diablo franchise. What are your guesses on new content/games that are potentially revealed in Blizzcon 2026? Personally for me it’s:

- A remastered version of D1 (hopefully with hellfire expansion? Though I think this is unlikely because of the unhappiness Blizzard had over the expansion)

- While this is highly unlikely, I do sometimes hope that the cut quests of D1 somehow make it back in the remastered version. For those who are unsure what I’m talking about, the D1 files revealed that there are quests that have been cut from D1, the Belzebub mod adds on their own new content that builds upon these cut quests content that is embedded in the D1 files.

- A new expansion for D2R that features a new act 6 (since this was one of the options available when blizzard surveyed players a few months back on new changes they wished to see for D2R) and potentially a new class? I also hope they add the 3 Act 4 Quests they had to scrap off due to time constraints. Of course, rebalancing changes and new features to the game are welcomed

-while this is unlikely, I wish Blizzard personally would finish and release the scrapped king of the north expansion for D3. I love the lore surrounding Greyhollow Island, and the Nephilim cult in the Temple of the Firstborn. Otherwise, it would be cool if a new class like the Warlock gets released for D3

-an announcement of a new expansion for D4 to be released in 2027 where Baal serves as the main protagonist

Is there any form of scaling system in spell damage in Olden Era? Because if there isn’t, wouldn’t that mean that primal magic falls off in the later parts of the game since it’s a spell damage centric school of magic?

In heroes 3, spell damage eventually falls off in the later parts of the game. Does olden era also face the same issue? Because wouldn’t that make Primal Magic which focuses on direct spell damage be eventually obsolete?

I was thinking about this topic for a while. In so many places of the internet you just see so much more negativity than positivity. I understand that it could be a case of negative people being more loud than the positive ones since hate and anger have stronger motivating power but doesn’t that show that human nature is more fueled and motivated by negativity and unkindness since the positive ones are more apathetic? Would like to hear other opinions on the matter
