AITAH for messing with my boyfriends Netflix icon?

This is probably a 6 or 7 year long prank, but it makes me laugh, and im not wondering if its gone too far. My boyfriend and I pay for a Netflix account and when he set up other users for his mom and dad, brother and sister, he made sure to have his icon be the penguin, his favorite animal. He has nieces and nephews that also use the account and wanted to be the penguin as well, they were small kids at the time and it was a weeny harmess arguement between them and him. I was in no way involved in their little battle for the icon, just the observer, it was cute.

So I started from my phone app changing his icon to some rediculous ugly icon from random shows, like Vecna, or other weird characters maybe once a month or so and changing either the sisters or the brothers account to a penguin. And he kept asking who keeps changing the icon from the nieces and nephews, obviously all 6 of them are denying changing it because it's me that keeps changing it. It irks him a bit every time because when he opens Netflix and accidentally gets into the penguin account, the suggestions are all off and whatever he was watching is obviously not there, and I'm just watching this from the sidelines and pretending to be surprised every time.

I am keeping hush about my icon shenanigans but he has been getting annoyed every time and family chat keeps getting 'WHO THE HELL DID IT' AND 'JUST FRIGGEN TELL ME' messages, I think it's hilarious that it bothers him so much.

AITA for keeping it going so long? Should I tell him it's me?

EDIT. I think i may have let on that he is raging and fighting with children. He is not, it's not that serious that it makes him yell at his nieces and nephews, it's more like message the group chat and everyone knows that there is a new icon, everyone looks and usually followed by laughing face emoji. The christmas dinners kids are offering him clues as gifts of who it might be. Sometimes the kids pretend to know who it is. It's made for many conversations, all in good fun. Just to make it clear, my boyfroend is not an angry man and takes jokes well, we joke with each other a lot

Should i stop sliding trash papers under the door of a neighbor that for years slid his business flyers under mine?

I live in a condo and this realtor neighbor always solicits his services by bringing his flyers and sliding it under doors. I'm assuming I'm not the only one that gets these flyers consistently. It's basically junk every once in awhile and I come home and see his face and the stupid flyer and obviously need to throw it out, it's annoying. It's been happening since I moved in over 2 years ago.

I saw him at the mail room and learned which unit he lives in because I saw the mail box he opens. I checked the unit, and remembered it. So for over a month now I have been going to his unit and bringing junk mail and sliding it under his door. I don't know why, but for whatever reason it is bringing me joy. I wish I could post a no soliciting sign, but condo rules don't allow things to be hanging on the door because 'it's a fire hazard'. I got a notice of violation once for hanging a Christmas wreath decoration and the notice said rules involve no signage.

I told my friend this, laughing about it, and this friend went on a rant about what a spiteful bitch I am, and just to tell the guy. Even if I did, would he remember which unit is mine, the condo has 30 floors each with 12 units per floor. Anyway, yea, should I stop being petty, is it too mean?

WIBTAH if I report a lady that is soliciting for proxies at my condo to police for coming to my door despite multiple attempts of asking her not to?

After moving to this building 2 years ago, I have noticed the residents of this building take the condo elections incredibly seriously and one happens every year. This lady came to my door every two weeks asking for her to be my proxy, basically her vote for her to be elected would count as mine.

I rent, and my landlord participates in these elections and usually votes for someone else. I explained this to this lady multiple times, and she is continuing to come to my door, and I asked her to stop several times. Its s not against the law to solicit for these proxies but she sometimes knocks at the oddest hours and we tried to not answer the door but I have a dog that barks at the door non stop and the lady doesnt leave at times for 5 minutes or more and my dog just continues barking. Few times it aggravated my boyfriend because he also answered the door when she comes many times and explained the same thing, and he ended up raising his voice at her. Lo and behold, she is here again every 2 weeks.

I sent a letter and an email to condoboard, asking her to stop, she just continues. I spoke to my landlord about it, he tried to make her stop as well. He also finds her invredibly irritating in these condo meetings. I dont know what else to do. Would it be the AH if I speak to police about it?

What is your preferred bank to deal with as a primary bank (Canada)?

Every time I have to deal with RBC, they have been horrible, on personal and professional level. They were my first bank account and when I went to try to apply for a credit card when I was younger, they just kept giving excuses why I dont qualify. I had a job, steady income and was asking for a secured card. I went across the street, opened a bank account and unsecured credit card with TD the same day and then back to RBC take out whatever I had in there, and closed the account. Now obviously I have established credit history and a years long good banking relationship with TD.

But on professional level, oh my god. I work with people that are in debt, and RBC is the most aggressive, obnoxious and unreasonable bank to ever owe money to. Even CRA has been more reasonable than RBC. They are almost impossible to reach, you can't call the branch and their counter proposals to clients offering reasonable terms are outrageous. Everytime I see RBC as a creditor, I feel the need to prepare the client to brace for impact because I already know they will be challenging.

Dont ever deal with RBC, terrible bank for some. Perhaps if youre a high network individual they treat you better, but if youre a regular person with an honest job and no millions in your bank account that at a point may encounter a life problem, good luck.

Should I apologize to my cousin for explaining to my uncle that the dog he got her for her to help with her depression is too high maintenance and could result in the dog being taken away from her?

I really believe I am right in this but I still feel pretty bad. My uncle got his daughter (19f) akita inu dog, shared with me and I based on several follow up questions explained to him that is not an appropriate dog for a beginner owner. Daughter was struggling with depression after being kicked out of her university program, and convinced my uncle to get this dog for her in hopes that the dog will provide company and help with depression. I had several dogs, and anytime I considered getting any dog there should be a lot of research involved. It looks like they didn't and just went for the one that looks the cutest. I get they're adorable, but there are so many things to consider that they haven’t even looked into! They picked up the dog today and neither of them even knew what is toxic to dogs. The breed is also very stubborn, they known to not be very friendly with other dogs and require training that even experienced trainers find difficult and the daughter is living alone and works a full time job, so that dog is going to be on its own for over 40 hours a week!

I explained all this to my uncle, and he decided, if when he checks on the dog in 3 months and finds any evidence of neglect or lack of basic commands like sit, down or stay, he will take the dog and him and his wife will take over.

He explained this to the cousin also and the cousin got furious with me for bringing it to his attention. Texting how dare am I, why am I poking my nose where it doesn't belong, told me to stay out of it and its none of my business. And yes, its really not my business but I just feel bad for the dog because that cousin isnt known to be the most responsible kid. Just 3 months ago her mom went to visit her and the apartment her parents gave her and it was a pig sty, she had weeks garbage bags of trash collecting that she didn't throw out when there is a schute on her floor! I have no confidence she will adhere to proper walking schedule, feeding, training, and grooming! That dog has 2 types of coat that requires heavy duty grooming.

I feel bad because she has depression but I can't help but bring up the complexities of owning a dog that is so high maintenance. Sure there is a possibility she will step up and show responsibility but if history proves anything is that she isnt the best when it comes to owning up to it.

Now she's mad at me because I put uncle on high alert to look out for neglect and she said that I am a bitch for coming in between of her and something that could genuinely help her.

I tried to explain that all I did was explain the weight of the responsibility of owning akita and given a reality check that she has to step up and not let her depression affect her dog, which obviously yet again constituted several "youre such a bitch" comments.

I didnt feel apology necessary, and last text basically was her saying she deserves an apology. I dont see how im in the wrong here.

WIBTAH if I stop updating boyfriends parents on his health because I overheard mom calling me controlling for taking his phone?

Yesterday my boyfriend was in the ER with flu and a bad headache, and I was constantly updating his parents about tests, progress, basically everything including medications he was given. We were done at the ER by 2 am, they gave him pretty powerful pain killer for his headache that wasn't letting him sleep for 3 days, he was waking up every hour. I sent his parents the picture of post visit report, we got home he went to bed I took away his phone with me, took a shower went to bed, when I finally went to sleep it was about 330 am-ish.

At like 10 am his mom first calls his phone, then his dad calls his phone, then they called me. I answered mine, Hey were sleeping. His mom: how's he feeling? Me: I dont know yet hes sleeping in the other room. Her: yea i tried calling him he didnt answer. Me: yes I took his phone. Her: keep us updated, and she passed phone to dad before he started talking I overheard her say 'wow, she took his phone?' As in a way that sounded like she thinks im controlling.

Umm tea I took his phone with me so he doesnt get interrupted in the middle of a sleep cycle for this very reason. I sent an update of the post visit report to them I know it was late but they asked me to keep them posted, and we were back and forth texting into 1 am.

Anyways I told dad basically same thing, and hung up and couldnt even go back to sleep because I overheard what she said. Im pissed.

Boyfriend is feeling better, woke up briefly , finally had a quick bite and went back to bed. 3 days of no sleep, surely itll take more than regular amount to catch up on sleep, how could his parents not understand it???

Now I dont want to update them because how she said that hurt my feelings. WIBTAH if I dont uodate them because I am pissed at them now?

Update. Hes better, he updated his parents and I dont really care to update them any further, he can do it himself. Ill go get sleep, and I dont really care to bring it up to him, his mom, I feel like I did the right thing at the time and dont want this to be dramatic.

What are some corporate work things you do, own or feel like you need to make your day enjoyable?

LOVE my plant, specific pens only I use, labeling every email into categories and subcategories, note book, paper stand, and a keyboard I love.

What are some things that make your job enjoyable?

I adore my plant, my notebook next to phone and I use specific pens I buy. I love my silent and satisfying to use keyboard and my mouse thats specific to my hand. I also enjoy this stand I use for holding up papers if I need to do data entry and my phone has this wooden holder that makes me happy. Also everything has a place and a spot.

What are some things that truly make your day better at your job and can you give me advice on what I can add to mine.

WIBTAH if i block former colleages that are not taking my last day seriously?

My last day at my former employer was yesterday and I am still getting requests, questions and in all honestly I am fed up. I provided a month notice, enough to wrap up what open cases I had and finish all the reports, affidavits and other work, and trained 4 other people on work I was doing that no one in the firm was familiar with. I made manuals, recorded training videos, and yet I'm still getting calls and questions from employees, HR, my boss. Before anyone suggests billing at whatever rate, my new contract at the job I'm starting does not allow work for other law practices, if I do that, I would be in breach. Its a much better paying job that I plan to do great in. What pisses me off, since last February I made 3 requests to pay me market, they do evaluations in September and adjusted my pay in November. I was asking for 10% increase considering the case load I was dumped with was a lot and they barely budged their budget, quoting that Im a junior and the market is what im getting paid. When I put in the notice, magically there ended up being room in the budget for what I was asking originally and at that point I was done negotiating because my new job is paying me almost 40% more and a starting bonus. Junior my ass, senior associates ask me questions about operating system they should be familiar with at their level.

HR sent me an email to my personal email asking to come in next week to train someone new, which I obviously declined, because where did they find audacity. My former boss sent me a text asking where is a file, they're all organized alphabetically in filing system and in our server like they have been for years. Its his case, how is it possible he doesn't even know what his case name is. I used to set him up with all the notes for all the new cases he opens and now he realized he has to do it himself. The employees added me on Instagram facebook and linked in, wishing me well but at the same time asking if they can reach out if they need my help. No, I am specifically leaving because for years I was the one that all this overflow of work gets dumped on. I got fed up being the default figure it out person.

My last day yesterday was ridiculous, I planned out the month to wrap up what I had open which I did. Plan was finish up, clean out desk, say goodbye leave on good terms. Instead, I was asked to input urgent file, because senior who was assigned this file will need more time and its urgent. I handled double cases than that guy, how is he 'swamped'??. I explained, it makes sense to have me open new file when he will be working on it and won't be familiar, they begged and I did it anyway.

They asked to follow up with one of the other files I reassigned, wtf is the point if who I follow will likely be responding and calling me? Asked to process a payment, fine, even though I made a manual and trained 4 staff on it. With every request I reminded that I made manuals, and maybe the other staff I trained can do it.

I am so annoyed because I wanted to leave on good terms, provided more than minimum notice, went above and beyond with training and manuals and I they're now crossing personal boundaries. My personal email, linked in, texts, instagram and Facebook have been going off. This is ridiculous, I didn't respond to the employees, 13 people added me between all platforms, i just respinded to the CEO witb the file name and HR to basically tell her to kindly kick rocks with her ridiculous request to train someone next week while im on-boarding at new job and need to focus on that.

TLDR: former colleagues are contacting me for guidance in case they need help and I am fed up with the sheer amount of messages and requests. WIBTAH if I cut ties with the former colleagues?

Why does not one take my last day seriously and expect above and beyond work?

At this point I am fuming. I work at a law practice and I provided a month notice to my employer, so that they have enough time to on-board someone new. I expected last day to tie up one left over affidavit and notice I needed to finish, clean out my desk and basically be on my way. Its a pretty niche law practice so its not always easy finding someone who knows exactly the process and order of business.

I get several emails expecting me to follow up after I have already trained the new team that does that.

I had several requests inputting a file that was given to another staff member because its urgent. I do them quickly and that staff member is apparently "stuck" so now I ended up doing it.

I got requested to call and resolve another issue with a ministry agency. I have already reassigned that file to another team member and that team member is conveniently swamped. I handles double the work of that guy, how is he swamped?

I start at a new job next week, and the HR asked me to come in next week to train a new staff member thats starting, which I firmly declined.

Its so annoying because I asked for a 10% increase. Yet its now costing them a new team member, and 4 existing staff to replace me. Why not just up my pay when I asked to what I wanted and avoid this headache, and on last day start scrambling and asking all these other tasks that I didn't plan for?

I haven't been to ER in ever, so I simply dont know how OHIP works. I legit thought my card was updated since I did it online for my drivers license. So at registration, I was told my OHIP card was expired and I was essentially uninsured in the system. I was told I would need to pay around $800 upfront to be seen or that I should go to Service Ontario to renew my card and come back. This added a lot of stress obviously while I was already feeling unwell and dizzy. Not a good idea to drive to sort out OHIP but fine.

I left the ER, went to my car, cried and simply was too scared to drive in this condition.

I ended up calling 811, you get to talk to a registered nurse quickly. She said do not drive, if you leave with your symptoms you may be putting yourself at risk.

So I said screw it, whatever $800 is not worth it and decided to call OHIP to check of they can update the card over phone which is not possible.

I asked if I end up renewing my card and pay the $800 fee to sunnybrook, can OHIP reimburse? She said yes, if I obviously meet minimum requirements for OHIP, like stay in the province, work In the province, etc.

Why would the hospital the registration staff tell me to leave to sort OHIP, when you can literally get help now and get the money back, I dint know.

I got an offer an i like it. Now recruiters are offended

This is an absolute non problem, but I work in a niche industry and its pretty easy to get a job offer at another company as long as you're of good character, competent and have the niche experience. I'm in law-tax industry.

The recruiters are relentless. I never dealt with such high demand of competitive recruitment.

My concern is I am now accepting a solid good offer, and although I was contacted by several recruiters they're pressuring to have me move on to interview process, despite clear indication that I already am moving on with offer I like.

Offer I am accepting is allowing proper pay, growth and sponsorship to further development.

What do recruiters have to gain from having me move on to interview process anyway, its simply a waste of time.
