Locavore and Carnivore achieved, Super Sustainable still open. I did it *my* way.
I did it the old school way with hatch ranching. The hardest part is keeping the O2 running and keeping the incubation chambers running, plus all the "move the egg" micromanaging prior to automation setup. Also keeping with the logarithmic curve; You don't start ranching until 15, you probably aren't sustainable until 50, and you probably aren't ready to print tons of dupes to eat it all until 75.
The only remaining question is if I will continue this save and try to get a fully unlocked save file. Maybe I'll save it for the next DLC.

I've been obsessed with an idea but I don't know how to conceptualize it.
A lot of the cooling loops I use in game are kind of like DC circuits, where stuff flows in one direction and there's a cooling gradient that develops from origin to destination. What I would like instead is something like an AC circuit, where every packet jiggles back and forth on the wire by one tile, and then the temperature transfer is the ongoing mean of each jiggle.
I just can't begin to conceptualize how to actually implement that.

Thanks to a new playthrough for the Aquatic planet DLC, I've been forced to go back down to a solo spacefarer nosecone for data collection.
I think I did pretty well. All needs are met except for a table to eat on, and carbon dioxide will eventually well up on the bottom, but with berry sludge in the mini fridge and a bunch of pipes full of water, I can stay up there for a while before peeing myself.
Hopefully I'll have the research I need before the CO2 wells up enough to be a problem.

Polluted dirt -> Automatic seakomb farm -> seakomb leaf -> phyto oil -> boils off to algae and CO2 -> 78C CO2 fed to slicksters -> crude oil

This Cobalt Volcano is terrifying.
I usually only need to use this little one size fits all design, except for Niobium volcanoes, but I had to build a giant metal plate heat battery next door, connected with conductive wire bridges, just to mediate the massive temperature transfer.

Looking for a TTRPG group to join.
Heyo, I moved to Thornton this month, and I'm in round 2/3 of SSDI determination for a congenital leg defect that became too unmanageable for conventional employment. I have a lot of time and no recreation budget (outside of gas money for grocery/medical trips). Typically I would do one-shots at game stores with disposable income to network, but alas, no disposable income.
I'm a 40 year old white dude, arguably Buddhist, aroace (being disabled from birth really derailed the "protect, provide, and pamper" expectations), and I have experience with playing and (briefly/roughly) DMing DnD 5E, but I'd really like to play Call of Cthulhu, Mothership, and/or Delta Green.
Other than that I enjoy PC and retro gaming, I play a lot of Oxygen Not Included/RimWorld on PC, and I have a massive RetroAchievements.org backlog. I am always down for a Mario Kart tournament.

Official WotC DnD D20 Mug
I imagine this is a collectible given that I can't find it on eBay. I won it as part of a DnD competition a while back. I only ever drank water out of it since it seemed like a pain to clean, but it would make a great pencil holder.

Attachment: Conceptualization vs meaning-making
I was talking to someone about ego craving, and I kept using the term "meaning-making", but they stopped me and asked me if I meant conceptualization instead. I really didn't, but I allowed the reframing to see what would be said about it.
Still, I don't see conceptualization itself as a problem, the only problem is the notion that there is any meaning in conceptualization worth attaching to, clinging to, or identifying with. Otherwise, the house-builder is going to build houses.
It could be that this person could know something more than I do (they could have an attainment that unseats conceptualization itself). It could be that I am just coming from a more nuanced rhetoric that is pointing to something more subtle than the prevailing idea. It could be that they attempted to connect with me on the assumption of what I might believe. Who's to say? This is the way with the Way.
What is your attitude on the matter?
