Anyone here interested in getting in on a 30” baritone group build?

Apologies if this is not allowed. I am looking to get a group together (myself and at least 4 others) to have a 30” offset baritone custom built by a Chinese guitar builder with the following specs:

*Carved heel joint for comfort

*jumbo SS frets

*roasted maple neck

*ebony board with no markers

*raw sandblasted ash finish

*hipshot bridge

*30” scale

*single volume knob with push/pull coil split

*3 way pickup selector switch

*baritone locking tuners

This will be coordinated via a Facebook group and the process is similar to buying other Chinese replica guitars if you’re familiar with that. Not sure on price yet, but hoping if we can get enough people to keep it under $300. Shoot me a DM if you’re interested and I can share a link to the Facebook group post. You’d just need to join the group and reply showing interest. If enough show interest, they’ll request payment and start the build with 90 day turnaround time.

If it sounds a little sketchy, that’s because it is, but if you’ve ever bought a Chinese guitar in the past, you know how it works. I’ve bought 8 myself and have yet to be burned. They‘re usually pretty good out of the box and make great mod platforms!

Firefly, if you’re listening…

First and foremost, let me express how much I enjoy the guitars. I love playing and modifying my Fireflies. I love them so much I’ve purchased 7 since March of 2026. 

I was also really enjoying interacting with other Firefly fans in the various communities online. It’s been great to have a place to discuss and share our experiences as fans. That is until a very divisive guitar was re-released recently. 

I’ve watched the comments section of each post about that guitar turn into a cesspool of hate and abuse. Part of the issue being the admins of your “official” Facebook group. I watched certain users post the guitar time and time again in an attempt to instigate arguments. Some of them openly admitted to it. These users were allowed to berate others repeatedly and without repercussions while users expressing opposing opinions were given suspensions or outright banned. This shows a clear bias in your admin team. They claim to have a “no politics” rule, which I am very much in favor of, but that rule is only enforced selectively. 

I understand that Firefly was just doing a Dimebag Darrel tribute guitar and probably does not fully understand how divisive that symbol is in the US, but please understand that by releasing that guitar and allowing your group admins to enforce a one sided, “no politics I don’t like” rule, you are alienating a large portion of your customer base. Loyal customers who just want to enjoy and discuss your guitars without political bullshit ruining it. Thank you.

I was worried the fretboard wouldn’t have enough figuring but I think I won the PME lottery. This one looks bad ass!

Chugs on the Purple Amazon Explorer right out of the box

We have another winner right out of the box. Looks great and plays great. Hard to tell in this video but the flamed veneer is pretty nice as well.

Measurements on the 7 string

seen a lot of people saying stuff like the pickup is 1.5“ or even 2” from the bridge. not quite.

Just acquired my 2nd Kiesel

Picked up a really cool Vader 7 to compliment my Kyber 8. Spec sheet for the Vader says neck and fretboard are just roasted maple, but there is some cool flame in both pieces of wood, although it is hard to pickup on camera.

Also really appreciate the blue Kyber representing Anakin/Luke's blue lightsaber and the metallic red/orange Vader representing Darth Vader's lightsaber. That was just a happy accident. :)

Other great albums with loneliness as a central theme?

Been listening to A Pale White Dot on repeat since release and I absolutely love it. Love the songs, the rhythms, the riffs, the melodies, the lyrics. Just really hitting me hard and my connection to it is undeniable.

It got me thinking about other albums where loneliness is the central theme and one of my personal favorites is Sleep Token's "This Place Will Become Your Tomb". I know, I know, but if you're not a fan of their newer stuff, I'd still recommend checking it out. This one is definitely a more restrained, straight forward hard rock/metal album with plenty of djenty elements. Plus, their drummer is insane and really shines here.

What are your favorite heavy/hard rock albums that use loneliness as a theme?
