Consented (?) to sex with a 24 year old at 17

I am a 17 year old girl, a few weeks ago a guy approached me at the pool in our apartment complex and asked to hang out since he’d seen me around there before. We spent a few minutes in the hot tub just talking about ourselves and our lives and it got really personal and deep really quick. At this point I’d told him I was 18 because this was a stranger and I didn’t think anything of it (honestly thought he was gay so I didn’t expect what was gonna happen shortly following this). He was 24, just recently 25.

We decided to go up to his apartment to smoke weed, so we did that, put on a movie and got on the couch. We just moved closer and closer until eventually we ended up getting undressed and having sex. It was my first time and I was in a lot of pain. At multiple points I was begging him to stop stop stop cause it felt like he was ripping my insides out. He didn’t, just kept going so I pushed through it. Went home feeling gross and sad.

I texted him saying I was 17 and he said he had no problem with me not telling him (my state, the legal age of consent is 18, so I know even though I said yes, it is legally assault)

But the problem is he asked me to hang out again for the next few days and I said yes. We never had sex again but I would touch him and vice versa.

I am an incredibly isolated and lonely person, I know the only reason I was attached to him was because he gave me so much attention in such a short time. After only about a week and a half of this going on he ghosted me.

I feel used, disgusting, and also incredibly guilty. I don’t know what to do or say about this to anyone, or if I should say anything. Because I agreed to it, I participated. What is this whole situation and what do I do about it?

Liver enzyme issues + possible cause for ineffective treatment?

I was on a variety of antidepressants (Lexapro, Prozac, Zoloft) for around 3 years for anxiety and depression. My diagnosis has recently been changed to bipolar 1. I’ve been googling around about thc edibles, painkillers, and coffee not having an effect on me. I saw that allegedly (correct me if I am wrong) thc and ibuprofen (?) and some antidepressants act on some of the same liver enzymes. Could this be why I felt absolutely no changes from antidepressants? They never seemed to send me into mania like they usually do with bipolar people but they never did anything period?

I’m wondering if it could be related to the whole liver enzyme thing, and my body just not being able to process the meds. Or is it because I’m bipolar the ssris didn’t work. Or something else?

Prodromal phase possibly? Spiraling 😞

I’m 17 and I am currently diagnosed with bipolar 1 and anxiety. I have in the past been (mis)diagnosed with anxiety and depression, ADHD, and bpd. As a child I was incredibly anxious but my parents took it as me being shy. I myself knew it was beyond that, the way that I reacted and behaved was visibly different from that of my peers. I was very sad and to cope with my feelings I would self harm without knowing what the concept of it was (since I was maybe 7-8 years old). And then as i reached 11 or so I became increasingly depressed and agitated. My schoolwork became really poor within a year. I had zero motivation to take care of myself and do anything. I had attempted suicide which landed me in the hospital at 14. This was around the time when I was finally seeking treatment for my issues. Diagnosed with anxiety and depression. Started ssris and did not improve. Over the course of the next few years I’d been on many different ssris and some mood stabilizers and medical cocktails, to pretty much no avail. I was sent to rehab for suicidality and self injury, and I was removed from two schools for simply not doing anything and being a self harm risk.

My manic/hypomanic symptoms began to present around a year or so ago(possibly earlier). But they have increased in intensity. Something else has to be wrong though, like I just feel very off. My moods can change rapidly within hours or minutes but I still have the rapid weekly/biweekly bipolar type swings. My thoughts are beginning to get very weird. Intrusive sexual thoughts or incestual thoughts that make me want to cry because they’re Not!me! Extreme rebound with my social anxiety. Everyone seems to be laughing at me. They’re all judging me and watching me. I am super hyper vigilant. It seemed to get better for a while and it came rushing back. I feel like an alien. I can’t function and behave like the rest of the world seems to. I find zero joy in things I love. Life is severely mundane and quite honestly hell. My brain is racing a mile a minute the instant I am awake. I’ve been getting scared at night, like paranoia that goes down my spine. It doesn’t have a cause or anything I really don’t know what I’m scared of. Like a presence? Creepy energy? These have gotten worse over the month and especially week. I even had a brief hallucination last night which has never happened to me under sober circumstances. It was a woman made of sand or stone sitting on my bed and it went away immediately.

My mother is diagnosed schizophrenic so this is what worries me. I also have a weird gut feeling something is wrong or is going to get worse in the years or months coming. Even days or weeks with the new symptoms that are popping up. What could be happening? I know a lot of symptoms overlap but I’m scared I will experience a psychotic break or something.

Worried about new symtoms/current state

About 8 days ago I finished a 3 day Molly binge (yes I know, stupid) and stopped taking my abilify about 4 days ago. Over this past week I’ve noticed increasing fear at night. I get very scared and paranoid about nothing in particular, just the atmosphere and the energy and my brain throws me down into a fearful state. I’ve noticed I’ve been feeling super awkward and every social interaction has me feeling like an alien among humans. They all know how to talk and move and act normally so why not me?!?? I feel watched and very frozen and self conscious in crowded settings. Makes me want to not leave the house. I’ve been socially anxious as a kid but it seemed to fade out and this seemed to hit suddenly over the last few days. Been very hypervigilant because of it.

I am not in a depressive episode I don’t think, I’m not having any thoughts to harm myself and I’m not crying uncontrollably which are two things that stand out clearly in my depressive episodes. I’m not manic either, and I’ve been sleeping a lot. 8-11 hours nightly for like 5 days.

I’ve had some super brief moments of feeling out of my body over the last couple of days. Last night I was sitting on a chair in my dimly lit room and when I turned to the side I saw a sand or stone woman Ho was sitting with her knees bent up to her chin and as quickly as I saw her she disappeared. This weirded me out and I’ve never had a hallucination before that wasn’t drug induced or caused by sleep deprivation. I don’t even know if I made this up because I feel like I’m so hyperfocused on every symptom that I just don’t even know. Although specific and random to make up and I’m not sure how I would’ve made that up ya know.
Now I’ve been doubting my bipolar diagnosis since it’s so new and that is why I stopped my abilify. Probably dumb decision but I am so unsure

What’s happening to me? Is this some sort of episode happening or no? Are things escalating? 🫠🫠

I am 17 and diagnosed bipolar 1 (I thought 2 if anything but my doctor said 1 due to my manic symptoms one time).

Struggling with recent bipolar1 diagnosis

I’m 17f and was diagnosed with bipolar around 2 weeks ago. I also just found out today that it’s bipolar 1 but my grandpa (whom I live with) and my new therapist were thinking bipolar 2 (but they don’t know the extent of my episodes I guess).

My mother is schizophrenic and was diagnosed while I was 4 or so and was hallucinating heavily and extremely detached from reality for many months/years of my childhood from what I remember.

And I experienced mental health issues from a young age but my parents only grew concerned at around age 13 when my self harm grew worse and I’d eventually spend like 2022-2024 in and out of hospital and rehab or self harm and suicide attempts.
At this point I was diagnosed with depression and anxiety but I’d felt like it never seemed to get better and I’d cycle through my depressive episodes with periods where I’d feel healed almost like I woke up with a fresh start. I am recognizing with my therapist that this was hypomania.

Now I am confused because she said I experienced mania. My symptoms were grandiosity and confidence, feeling just incredibly obsessed with myself like I’d spend almost hours loooking at myself in the mirror lol. Periods of like 30-48 hours of being awake and binging substances recklessly in a way that is “different from regular teen substance use” (not sure what that means) and general paranoia and fear. And these would last like 7 days max and I’d be mostly irritable by day 7 and crash into depression and suicidal ideation by almost the next morning.

But I’ve never had psychosis or anything. And I also tend to stay away from my meds. I’m prescribed just 2mg abilify for right now but I haven’t taken it consistently in a couple months. Related to drug binges or just simply not wanting to. I notice I feel fine and this is when I doubt my diagnosis. Like I am just such a confused person!

Any thoughts and words of advice or experiences. Anything welcome just feeling lonely in this whirlwind lol

I think my eating is becoming disordered- not sure what to do

I have not ever been diagnosed with an eating disorder and I am not about to self diagnose, but I can tell something is wrong and getting worse.

I’ve lost a good amount of my body fat over the last 6 ish months, I feel cold almost all the time despite living in a hot climate. I am lethargic and I almost always get a head rush where I feel like I am going to faint when I stand up. My bmi is not what it should be and I am aware, but at the same time seeing all of these physical symptoms makes me feel more validated as a mentally ill person (I hate to admit that but i do need to). I like seeing myself spiral because I feel like people will care more, or I have more proof that I am unwell.

My appetite has dropped. I can have a few bites of food a day but then I really just can’t have more. I have either feel full or just lose my appetite completely. I’m worried that I’ve been losing weight drastically over the last week especially. I can muster up the courage to have maybe a small meal or some snacks a day and I am just wondering what the long term effects of this could be.

I also lost my period for three months earlier, but it came back (slightly irregular flow)

I will definitely talk to my therapist about this soon but I am not sure how to go about it. I am a minor so I know my guardian would have to be involved (which I am scared about)
