I thought it was suppose to be free?!
I pre-ordered and bought Mafia Definition Edition in 2020, so why do I have to pay a cent? Sorry for the crappy photos, just so you all know I’m not bsing, here’s an achievement I got on release day 9/25/2020. I was under the impression it was a free upgrade?
I signed up for the testing, but for Devs that may be looking at Reddit before here’s some pre-feedback.
- Weapon/Attachment Unlocking: I understand the need to have to unlock things as you go, but I always felt it weird to have “Tier 1 Operators” going around the open-world opening cases. A challenge system for unlocking weapons/attachments would be better in my opinion.
- Reload animations: Whatever weapons are being added please look at YouTube or anything relating to tactical reloads for that said weapon system, both Wildlands/Breakpoint while not bad they’re pretty generic and or downright not the way you properly re-load them as a “Tier 1 Operator.”
-Immersive/Ghost Parameters: Not much to be said here, but please have these options at launch, so we have them out the gate and not down the road as post-launch content.
- Customization: Customizing Plate Carriers, Battle Belts, and Helmets as their own category would be a nice change. If not that just give us different variants of said items, “Light-Loaded, Medium-Loaded, and Heavy-Loaded.” Bonus points for adding back-panels to the plate carriers. Please no more air-soft stuff.
- I complied my few things I specifically want please anyone that reads this put yours below. If we compile a huge list in one place it’s always better than different posts secluded from each other.
In honor of GR: Wildlands let’s see those operators…
They’re teaming up with Warrior Assault Systems for GR: Project OVR.
I went to their webpage and looked around what builds they had and overall ngl if they’re photo scanning from them, this is a massive setup from Wildlands and Breakpoint. Hopefully, this is the end of 5.11 lol.
Wildlands should continue support with small QoL improvements.
I’m not saying have full fledge expansions or anything, but why not we are still a ways off for the next GR experience. Let me know what you guys think.
Both Wildlands and Breakpoint run on the AnvilNext 2.0. They could definitely add more fixes/ animation adjustments into Wildlands. Take ACBFR for example they brought in animations from Valhalla recently for finishers.
Somethings I’d still like to be added:
- Camera tweaks more like Breakpoint.
- Weapon changing for AI teammates (Unless it was added, in the update)
- Fixing animations with the bolt action sniper rifles they’re still broke even to this day.
- Better weapon poses when moving/ walking more like Breakpoint.
This Screenshot is def- for the new game, make sure you sign up for testing.
They mentioned testing the new game and this screenshot/Key Art is definitely for Project Ovr. Make sure you guys sign up.
Also, Ubisoft usually selects you if you have an account that’s been with them for many years. Mines 11 years now, I got invited to the “Skull and Bones” playtests when they did them. If you have a quite a few years and many Ghost Recons on your profile you’ll get selected.

Posting my tier list for Campaigns/Story [COD]
I do know BO4 doesn’t have a traditional campaign, but it has a story told through Specialist missions and it’s a “Blackout” storyline and it’s awful, so it is being rated lol.
Why are the older WW2 CODS so low? Most of them are good, but they were very run of the mill fight mission to mission the course of the war. I’d say there really wasn’t a real story. Not that it’s bad, just kinda god burnt out by it.
Correct me if I’m wrong but does, some of this looks new 🤔?
I could be totally wrong, but I don’t remember Siren’s Call or some of the other things listed here.
Grabbed this screenshot from the Ubisoft group…
Looks like another accident just like the definitive edition store page for GR: Wildlands.
Summary of Future Content from the Q&A.
To Summarize what they said for future content:
- Attack Helicopters
-Armored Personnel Carriers plus (Amphibious Ones).
-Cosmetics, Weapons, and Maps
- Factions: South Korea, South Vietnam, and Anzac/New Zealand.
The 5 Maps: Put together a little timeline for them.
They’re starting with the year 1965 from dev blogs and trailers the year for the game at release is 1965, my guess either jumping a few years every update or gonna follow the war year by year every update 🤷♂️. In order are the maps and images of the landscapes you’ll be fighting in with irl pics.
“Cam Ranh Port”- This is the most interesting map in my opinion, because Cam Ranh Bay had very minimal action (Known as the safest place in The Vietnam War) it had no major battles fought here. The biggest thing to take place was when NVA (FROGMEN) tried to blow up an oil tanker. This place acted as a staging area my guess is this takes place Spring of 1965 when US Army Engineers first arrived to start the build-up of the facilities.
“Hue Outskirts”- Theirs no significant battle that took place, but in 1965 saw the beginning of counterinsurgency, securing transit routes, and the taking of costal districts. These engagements took place on the outskirts of the capital, which then would lead up to the Tet Offensive in 1968 and The Battle of Hue City. You’ll see an a pic from the air to give you an idea of the outskirts of the city.
“Quàng Ngãi”- Major events took place in 1965 The Battle of Ba Gia and Operation Piranha which was an amphibious follow-up to Operation Starlite which was the first major offensive by the US Marines these dates would be September of 1965.
“Thanh Hòa Bridge”- We played this map in the Open Beta, there wasn’t a battle, the bridge was named “Dragon’s Jaw” which was targeted by US Air Attacks/Raids all of them were unsuccessful until the bridge was destroyed in 1972. This map is based on a real area, but fighting there like you do in the game isn’t real.
“Vąn Tuòng”- Operation Starlite or know as “The Battle of Van Tuong” which, was from August 18th-24th, 1965. Was conducted by US Marines and is marked as the first major ground troop offensive.
“Dǎk Tô Airfield”- Again, it was mainly logistics and infrastructure rebuilding and fortification improvements. The real Battle of Dak To didn’t happen till Novmeber of 1967. In 1965 MACV-SOG used it to launch cross border missions and the base was established to watch/ keep tabs on PAVN and blocked infiltration from the communists.
In conclusion, little bummed about some of these having minimal to no fighting or any major events happen in 1965, but still excited no less. I still hope to see “The Battle of La Drang” 1965. Hope you guys enjoyed, this little history class lol.
Unbiased 50/50 Feedback after playing all weekend.
I’ll admit I’ve been kind of a jerk with this game, so I’ll give some constructive criticism and feedback after playing all weekend. I played on Xbox Series X and PC. This will be a lot, so I’ll make sure to break them up. Feel free to comment down below to add to it and to the Devs none of this will be hate on you guys or your game or anything mean just straight up feedback.
- Things I won’t add since it was addressed in the QA and plastered in the top left of matches titled Admin. If you don’t see it here it’s because they’re already tracking/ mentioned these issues in their discord.
- The improvements with performance from Open Beta to now have really shown performance has improved. I know AMD users are having a struggle right now, so some tweaking before release is a must. I only crashed once on XBSX and had one crash on PC. No stuttering or anything for me on both platforms.
-The Helicopters are a lot better they feel more like Rising Storm 2, I know the cockpit is pretty much bulletproof now. I don’t know if that’s attended I’m sure it is to balance it with the tunnels. A few more tweaks and they’ll be just fine for this game. I still think the gunner positions in the transport helicopter need some tweaks in the accuracy/ bullet spread from Helicopter to Ground.
- Boats feel good to drive. I don’t really have issues with them. I didn’t jump in the gunner spots in this play test, I know they were really janky to control in the open beta, so if someone can chime in on how the gunner spots feel for the AA (NVA) and the gunner spots for the boats on both factions, put it in the comments.
- Hit registration I didn’t really have any problems with main weapons people died when I shot them. I will add here though the M50 Sniper rifle needs to be looked at it’s damage at longer range is broke it’ll play the hit Marker sound and the person your shooting at 100+ meters is unscathed. I shot one guy twice at 130m and he was fine and it played the hit marker sound effect twice.
- Audio is pretty bad to put it nicely, theirs no directional cues or a way to differentiate where sounds are coming from. The Helicopter SFX also drowns out, so much even if someone is running up on you good luck hearing it.
- Tunnels are still way to OP, I don’t know if the changes they mentioned in the QA actually are in the play test, but if they’re it’s still too strong. The best way to put it, you can be brain dead and use the tunnels, but helicopters require coordination and skill at flying. At a balance point theirs a disconnect, between the two.
- This is for consoles I didn’t get crazy popping on XBSX, but the vegetation becomes very blurry/ low poly even at proximity, that needs to be cleaned up just as well as the ground it can look the same as the vegetation.
- Weapons are a mixed bag for me, the whole recoil perimeters are off, so everyone is just running full auto at any range. Should be tweaked to encourage firing semi at longer ranges and full auto at closer ranges. The weapon sounds for the M16 and Type 56 sound fine I’ve fired the IRL weapons in real life they sound perfect, but the M60 and RPD as well as the M50 and Mosin sound terrible those need tweaked to sound more meaty.
- Sniper scopes are very slow. I tried to up my sensitivity to make them faster and they’re still slow and hard to track moving targets. Let me know if there is an actual setting in the options for scopes I couldn’t find it any.
- Visibility is like 50/50 the yellowish tint/ filter is what’s causing it to be really difficult to identify targets in the jungle environment and just overall gives this hazy feel to the map in my opinion doesn’t mesh well with the game. Take the main menu screen for instance the Enlist, Barracks, and Training screen the colors really are lush and then when you’re in game it’s all yellow tint.
- The UI/ Map are like hit or miss sometimes it works fine other times it can be janky or unresponsive. The bug from OG HLL is still here where if you’re commander and you put a call in down on the map sometimes the icon with not appear and will be unresponsive, so you have to cancel and then redo that input with said ability.
- The FX for explosions and call in abilities is kind of underwhelming and sometimes look very pixelated. The napalm strike still looks pretty underwhelming in my opinion.
- The tanks are kind of in a weird spot especially the LAW to try and take out of a tank it’s near impossible the thing just doesn’t go down.
- A small one, but ground trucks are still very slow you’ll be maxed out RPMS and it still feels like you’re just going at a snails pace.
- UI with objectives is broke sometimes it has a problem where it’ll not show it being capped, but then if you go to the map it’ll be almost capped. The UI for garrisons will sometimes disappear on the map showing no garrison on said point after you just placed one.
-The weight system in theory is great, but executed in a weird way. You go through ammo so quick and when you do add more mags to your load-out you’re pretty much sacrificing the use of grenades and anything else, because the loadout system only allows so much. Default load-out should be 7 mags and then you add to your weight by adding said other items with your 9 points.
In conclusion, I had a less frustrating experience than I did with the Open Beta. I hope more things are ironed out quicker than later. I’ll be playing it at release I had a good time. Hope this helps feel free to add onto the list.
Let’s be Honest What is everyone’s thoughts?
- I don’t think this is ready for August and console has way too many problems. PC runs better for me at least, but I still have crashes. Look this isn’t an Early Access game, this is suppose to be a full release live service game as they said in the QA. Why are we paying to have this be developed and fixed as if it’s an Early Access game? It’s pretty scummy in my opinion to have had console pre-orders up while not showing any footage for them until now and then finally dropping the play-test and have these many issues on console.
-I’m on Xbox and PC.
Conclusion: I see the vision and foundation, but they need to take the time to develop this properly or this game is gonna be DOA on the console side. If you buy it then that’s on you and you can do as you please with your money, I just don’t wanna see the console players be shafted like this.
Updated screenshot now they removed the “Last Rites Mission”
The previous screenshot on Xbox showed “Last Rites Mission” it’s been changed and removed and the description was changed not to include it.
Edit: love getting downvoted for just telling people what they changed in the store/ screenshot and the description 👍.
Would anybody wanna see more load-out options for the attack boat?
This isn’t a complaint to be negative or anything. I love the attack boat, but I’m hoping down the road we can have more loadout options. I for one would love to be able to take the turret off and open it up for more spots on the boat. I love transporting people around and back capping points. Basically, a transport option.
