I’m honestly so tired of the obsession with wealth and status

I’m honestly so sick of this obsession with being “rich” and constantly trying to prove it.
I’ve seen girls avoid posting pictures with their actual friends simply because those friends aren’t “on their level.” Even going to a coffee shop sometimes feels like a competition over who has the most expensive car, clothes, or lifestyle.
What’s sad is that earning halal is already hard, yet people are turning money into a way to look down on others. Our Prophet ﷺ lived a simple and modest life despite having every opportunity to live lavishly.
There’s nothing wrong with wanting financial stability or enjoying nice things. But chasing money just to feel superior to others feels so empty. I genuinely wish people cared more about character, kindness and how they treat others than how wealthy they appear.

underage driving

Why don’t people use common sense? His brother is just a kid, maybe 14–16. I literally heard yesterday about a 16-year-old who injured two people.
The city is huge take him somewhere quiet and less crowded to practice. This is a commercial area; if something goes wrong, he could seriously injure or even kill someone. No one should have to suffer because of someone else’s negligence.

Need some advice from the girls here.

I have a best friend, and we were both so excited for her sister’s wedding. For months she kept saying things like, “You’ll come, we’re going to have so much fun.”
But she never actually invited me. She never told me the wedding dates, venue, or sent me an invitation.
Then today, out of nowhere, she texted me, “Are you coming to the wedding today?”
Honestly, how was I supposed to come when I didn’t even know the time or location?
I’m really hurt and confused. If she genuinely wanted me there, why didn’t she invite me properly or keep me updated?
To make things worse, my homies are asking me, “She didn’t invite you?” and I feel so embarrassed.
I’m not sure if I should confront her, ignore it, or just let it go. Am I overreacting, or would you also feel hurt in this situation?
I’d really appreciate some honest advice.

Any Hospitals Near Bahria Town

Hi everyone,
Does anyone know of any hospitals near Bahria Town, Lahore that are newly opened or currently recruiting Medical Officers?
I’ve been applying for the past 8 months and have submitted applications to almost every hospital I could find, but unfortunately, everywhere I’ve checked says there are no vacancies.
If anyone knows of any hospitals that are hiring—or even upcoming openings—I would really appreciate your suggestions. Thank you!

Turning 25 this month

I’m turning 25 this month, and I’m not sure how to celebrate my birthday.
Last year, I went out for coffee with my sister, took a few pictures, and that was pretty much it. It wasn’t as fun or memorable as I had hoped.
I don’t have many friends, so the idea of going to a restaurant with a cake and a bouquet just to take pictures with my sister feels a bit awkward to me.
What would you suggest? How can I make my 25th birthday feel special and memorable?

Why does it feel so hard to maintain my physical appearance while preparing for exams?

On top of that we all know how difficult life can be for doctors we’re constantly studying for one exam after another. I barely have any time to look after myself. Most days I feel like I look homeless. I have two favorite shirts that I wear on repeat and I’m convinced everyone in town recognizes me because I’m always wearing the same clothes whenever I go out to run errands.
I genuinely dont understand how some girls manage to stay so well groomed while balancing studies, work, and everything else. How do they do it?
Another thing i have been wondering is how do you maintain friendships in adulthood? I only have one close friend and I feel like if we don’t talk regularly our bond doesn’t feel the same anymore. Does anyone else feel this way or is it just me?

Need plab keys

Hi everyone! Is there anyone in Lahore who has already passed PLAB 1 and is willing to give their PLAB Keys books to me?
I am currently studying on my phone and the constant screen time is giving me severe headaches. Having the printed books would really help.
If anyone has a set they no longer need, please let me know.

Whats the best way to do plabable

I am preparing for PLAB 1. When solving MCQs, should I study topic-wise and then attempt related questions, or should I solve them randomly from the beginning?
For example, if I come across a diabetes MCQ, and there are 10 related MCQs available, should I complete all of them together, or mix questions from different topics?
I find that PLAB Keys is very detailed and time-consuming, and it is difficult for me to retain everything, so I have switched to PLAB Gems instead.

As a lahori i love Karachi people

I had a friend from Karachi; he was very humble. I never saw him get angry except once and after that we are no longer friends. Anyway, he was always in a good mood and very self controlled.

I also have a maid from Karachi. She is different she has a high energy level and is always friendly and happy unlike Lahoris.

Those whose parents are in government service how do you make long term friends?

I genuinely admire people who grow up in the same city, same house, and still have childhood friends around them. Because of my fathers job we had to move a lot and I never got to experience that stability. Every time I got comfortable somewhere we had to leave again.

I don’t really have childhood friends now. I only made one close friend in university. Sometimes when I see my old school friends on Instagram still meeting each other and staying connected, I honestly envy that bond. Once I moved away the connection slowly faded and now we barely talk

Cont to previous post

I posted abt an incident where a fully mature guy in his late 20s hit my sister twice with a trolley instead of communicating us

So i think this is the guy i am posting his comment which shows he is a psychopath and should be kept at home

If he is a random guy who read my story y is he so triggered and invested in my post

I think he is the one at the mall maybe because he looks so invested in it

Some guy lost his mind at the mall today over a grocery line...

So, I’m still a bit shaken and mostly just confused by what happened at the mall today.
It was super busy (as usual), and I was there with my family. The queues were huge, so my sister and I(female) did that typical thing where you split up—she stood in the left lane, and we stood in the right. The plan was just to go with whichever line moved faster. Pretty standard, right?
Well, the guy behind my sister apparently didn’t like that. He was with a girl—they definitely had that "Bahria Town couple" vibe—and I’m 90% sure he overheard our plan and decided to make it his mission to be a jerk.
He started hitting my sister’s heels with his trolley. She ignored the first one. She ignored the second one. But by the third time, it was obvious he was doing it on purpose. She finally turned around and was like, “Why are you doing that?”
He immediately started snapping at her: “Are you even in this lane or what?!”
I wasn't going to let him talk to her like that, so I stepped in and just said, “Can’t you see she’s standing right here?”
You guys, this man lost it. He started screaming at me at the top of his lungs. I was just standing there, honestly baffled, asking him, “Why are you yelling? Seriously, why are you screaming?” I stayed calm, but inside I was just like... is this actually happening over a checkout line?
His girlfriend started chiming in too, but I didn't even give her the satisfaction of an eye roll. I just focused on him.
Eventually, my dad saw what was happening and stepped in to de-escalate. Because I respect my father and didn't want him caught up in some trashy mall fight, I just shut it down and stopped talking.
I just don't get it. Why are people so aggressive lately? It’s like some people wake up looking for a reason to explode at a stranger. Has anyone else encountered this kind of "trolley aggression," or is it just a Bahria thing?
Me and my sister was with our family idk what would happened if our father wasn’t with us
The guys had a patriarchal mindset like how can a girl question his cheap behavior
