Does Kindness from Doctors have any value in today’s world?

A doctor shared that he had treated an auto driver and his family for free on two occasions. When the doctor later took an auto ride with him, the driver reportedly asked for ₹100 extra, prompting the doctor to question whether kindness is always returned.

What are your stories, Doctors?

34000 Rupees per month after Mch CTVS

₹34,000/month for an MCh CTVS surgeon. Let that sink in.

MBBS → MS General Surgery → MCh Cardiothoracic & Vascular Surgery.
Nearly a decade+ of brutal medical training.

And the Himachal Pradesh Government offers him ₹34,000/month?

We scream about shortage of specialists, but when we finally have them, this is how we value them.

Hostel made Khichuri!

Rained today so obviously the only logical response was to make khichuri. Ended up putting a lot of things into a 2.5L kadai which was honestly way too small for three people’s worth of rice, dal, and vegetables — a lot of stirring, a lot of overflowing moments. I was on cooking duty. And it came out really good, like better than I expected. I tried to make it once before and it wasn’t that good. Felt too much spicy earlier. But this one felt pretty perfect. There’s something about rain + khichuri that just hits different, especially when you made it yourself with people you love.

The DAY Myopia magically became Hypermetropia for me!

Went to the EYE OPD with complaints of problems in distant vision. I was seeing distant objects a little blurry, and couldn’t appreciate the sharp borders of light sources, there was halo effect. The problem was more with my right eye. Went to the eye OPD, prof asked me to get my eye power checked. The optometrist made the prescription for POSITIVE power glasses used in Hypermetropia. And I got the glasses made on the same day according to the prescription. But after wearing those glasses, my vision got more blurry, then I asked few of my friends if it was normal for someone wearing glasses for the first time, or there is something wrong with the glasses. Only then I noticed the thing the Optometrist had done.

Stole a 11th Generation IPad from Blinkit today!

After the apple price hike, I have been calling each and every Electronics store near me for a deal at the old price! But alas! Everybody denied of having it in stock. So I kept my eye over the QuickCommerce platforms for two days. Set multiple notifications on being available. But even if I get a notification of its availability, the moment I tap on the notification, it disappears again. Being frustrated I disabled all notifications, lost hope and avoided checking the price. But today afternoon, I suddenly checked my blinkit and it showed available, immediately I placed down the order, and within 30 minutes, it reached my address. Didn’t even need to go to a offline shop. I got this for 34900. So so happy with it. Thought to share. I earlier had a 9th Generation gifted by my physics teacher which I used for 4 years long, and still using. But thought to future proof my next 5 years. So went for it. Self investment is the best investment ever!
