Just rewatched Street Law last night, and noticed that the kid who played the main character in a flashback was on the credits as Hayden Christensen. No mention of it in the movie riffing though; it wasn't a speaking part, he looked different at that age, and he didn't mention sand and its coarseness and ubiquity, so I get why it might have slipped past the riffers.

Often, it seems a contrivance to set up the resolution to occur in front of a crowd. The professing of love, the exposure of the villain, the triumph of the hero...we seem to expect the uplift and witness of the crowd or it doesn't feel as valid. They often will comment on the happenings, and render collective judgment or express support for the protagonists.
