Review of a first time pixel owner

Coming from Samsung s25 ultra to a pixel 9 pro and this little phone did not disappoint at all! I will separate the pros and cons and explain based on my experience and own opinion

Pros:

1 - Design. Genuinely number 1 reason I got it i think pixels are the most beautiful and eye catching phones, feels super great in the hand and build quality feels expensive and premium.

2 - Signals. My s25 ultra had sometimes issues connecting to wifi it was kind of slow, didn't immediately connect to Bluetooth and gps navigation was a hit or miss but pixel is hella fast in this area, wifi and 5g 4g connectivity is stable and fast, gps is accurate and doesn't have trouble at all, calls are crystal clear and I can even hear back round noise which i couldn't with other phones!

3 - Cameras. Absolutely love it, great detail, great colors, loving the 5x optical zoom, microphone is great, low light is definitely better than my ultra, photos and videos don't look over processed or Aİ baked they all have a natural tone.

4 - Battery. İ am surprised it can last with 80% charging whole 8 hours, the battery is really good for it's size and definitely not disappointing.

5 - Thermals. So far so far good, I'm not a heavy user and i don't game on phones, just simple social media scrolling, a bit of music, a bit YouTube or Netflix, so the phones is good I'd say.

6 - OS/UI. İt feels so different and kind of weird but I'm still adjusting and finding features. The os is very smooth and clean, stable, fast, nice animations and the UI is beautiful. Samsungs UI compared to pixel feels very cluttered and unorganized with Aİ plastered everywhere while pixel is an ai based phone it doesn't have ai plastered or every single action you do contain the energy like 'look what our amazing ai can do' which i found super annoying and flimsy in Samsung. I love the os and UI it's super clean and smooth, safe to say that it's probably the best OS i have ever experienced!

And the cons list.

1 - Fingerprint and face id unlock. Face id unlock works better than my Samsung definitely faster but fingerprint sucks. İ have a screen protector on and it struggles to read my fingerprint while Samsung was super easy and quick. Also i find it weird having to wake the screen first and then tap your finger to unlock...?

2 - Availability and price point. İn my country pixels aren't known they are basically extinct, with no cases or service anywhere and the price is insane, same price as any other flagship. Don't get me wrong i am against these prices and inflation going up but 1500 euros for a 128gb variant is insane. Also why is the 128gb still a thing? İt's 2026...

3 - Download and read speed. Ufs 3.1 and 128 gb? Lame ASF! Like i said, 128gb in 2026 is crazy to me, not even greedy apple does this move and the download reading speeds are noticable to me since the most used app on my phone is gallery, files and downloading from the web.

4 - NOT for gaming or super heavy tasks. This is probably the reason why people are not reaching to buy a pixel, benchmark scores are low, gets super hot in demanding and heavy tasks and is slow, and gaming? Don't even think about it, just because it's an Android doesn't mean you can emulate GTA V on it like OnePlus 13 or Samsung 26 ultra. So the price in my honest opinion should be cheaper BUT i understand why google isn't putting a snapdragon chip in their phones, I've noticed that this brand is more focused on Aİ stuff and normal day to day tasks, being efficient, quick and smooth stable experience and they optimise their G tensors chips exactly for that.

That's all I had to say, first time buying and owning a pixel and I'm loving it so much i will never go back to Samsung, would i recommend this phone to other people? Depends on what they want. Do they want a simple phone with a nice camera then yes, do they want a phone that can run GTA V and have 5 other open apps multitasking while being on call and having super high benchmark scores? Then no. Overall it's a really good phone and I'm probably going to buy pixel 11 next :)

Just copped the 9 pro

Sold the Samsung s25 ultra for this and I do not regret it.

Already loving the pixel, compact, pro cameras and clean smooth ui and surprisingly the battery lasts despite it's size.

Also what case and theme should I go for? :)

iPhone SE 3rd gen in 2026

I’m coming from a Samsung s25 ultra and I don’t have any complaints (except the fact that the phone overheats most of the time) I’m selling it and looking forward to buy an iPhone SE 3rd gen. Because it’s cheap, small and compact, and mostly because I want to be less on my phone so the use will be way lighter.
Is the se 2022 a good phone overall? I just want it to be somewhat fast and have a decent battery without overheating. My budget is up to 200 euros max and I found a couple of se’s close to 150.

S25u is the most durable phone ever

It's been over a year and 3 months of owning this phone got it ever since it was released. Dropped it from 5 meters, 3, 2, sometimes even without a case and not even a single bent just a tiny scratch, falling face flat landing on the screen, back cameras, fell into water literally 4 times and today dropped it into soapy dirty water making this 5th time dropped in water. Speakers sound crystal clear, cameras work and still looks like it came out of the box brand new, only complaint is the battery so far it could have been better. This phone is the most durable piece of tech I ever bought and it blows my mind how much it can endure. I had iphone 15 pro max and dropped it into water once by accident and the screen turned off and needed 6 hours to dry and turn on with slight hiccups, dropped iphone 12, and 8 little cracks and scuffs immediately, I'm not bashing apple but samsung is clearly the strongest.

Should i keep or sell my phone

S25 ultra 512GB variant absolute beast of a phone, cameras, speed ect but I feel the phone wearing down fast and it's only been a year of owning this device, the battery i used to charge only once a day now i need to charge 3 times a day, sometimes it freezes and lags, overheats during the most simplest tasks like watching a yt video or scrolling on social media and when I first got it wasn't like this everything was speedy. I also realized that I don't use this phone capabilities as much as I thought I would like the cameras, the processor (phone lags anyways), speed, battery (degrades) so I think i would be better off with a cheaper phone since I dont focus on phones much and only use it for simple everyday stuff.

So what's your opinion? Should I keep it or sell it and get a simpler phone?

I have samsung s25 ultra, the battery is draining quickly after a year of owning, overheats for no reason during simple tasks, cameras are good bit watching comparison with s26u and xiaomi 17u its insane what xiaomi can do (im aware ultra wide is ass im fine with it I dont use ultra wide much). My question is will this phone last more than 2-3 years? Software wise and battery degrading? Or should I wait for xiaomi 18 ultra? Is the os good, speakers, speed and consistency, signal and calls, gaming, and will it last? Also it being durable im clumsy and I drop phones everywhere, I go on hiking, and many other stuff
