Sobrang challenging na ayaw mo sa sitwasyon mo pero eto lang ang mag bibigay ng opportunity sayo na kahit paano maka bwelo; puyat, stress at personal mong gusto lahat wala na. Andito ko sa work ko for 2 yrs na at halos daily ko isuka at sumpa, sakripisyo talaga. Kahit paano nasimulan ko na yung Emergency Savings at isang random pa para sa kung ano man. Tutuloy ko pa hanggang ma hit ko yung target kong ipon tsaka ko na lang i treat sarili ko. Nag bubunga na rin pala. 🙏

Ilang araw bago hanapan ng med cert? Uubusin ko pa SL ko. 2, 3 or 4 days?

Marami pa kong SL, di pa nagagalaw and plan ko sana gamitin ng isang bagsakan na lang? Ilang araw ba bago nila i require yung Med Cert, kaya ba 3 days ng wala or dapat meron na?

Noong last week may call kami sa client, pakitang mga gilas yung mga acting lead pero after few days escalated na naman agad. Sadyang bopols ba talaga tong mga taong to? De kahon mga mag isip? Walang comprehension? Di nag sasalita sa mga call lahat tapos palpak sa execution habang todo epal nga leads nila? Ibibigay or even dedma sayo pag escalated na basta sa kanila tapos na. Damang dama sa nag iisang commendation na kulang na lang i paabot pa kay Sweetie. Never akong hindi na surprise na may mas grabe pa silang kayang gawin na sobrang ewan ko ba. Nasa amin yung ka dugtong nilang work edi kami na rin nag aayos for them. Letcchh kayo.

Hintayin ko na lang mawala work ko atleast may alibi ako pag nag job search ulit or hintayin nila ko umalis. Basta bayad pa rin naman ako.

Nag work ako sa isang company for 5 years tapos kasama ako sa tinanggal, at dahil doon nag hanap agad ako ng work dahil sa takot at panic. Meron akong work agad even bago matapos yung 30 days ko sa old company ko. Di ako nag pause, pahinga at reflect na dapat pala ginawa ko na tutal since college diretso ko trabaho and im now turning 35.

Ngayon andito ko sa company going for 2 years at ramdam ko na nag bago na yung leadership towards sa amin, i know kasi isa ko sa pioneer and lowkey ako na umaasa na i layoff na lang nila ko ulit dito dahil wala na rin akong gana sa mga kasamahan ko kasi they literally fvcked us all up plus im thinking may excuse pa ko pag na apply ako na di ko kasalanan yung sitwasyon ko. Inalis lang ako.

For now hinahayaan ko lang ang mga araw dumaan, im doing nothing. Literal na tapos ko na trabaho ko 1 oras sagad na 3 oras petiks pa yun. Plano ko rin naman na umalis after this year since naka ipon naman na ako, gagatasan ko na lang din sila hanggang sila na mapagod alisin ako/kami or dumating na yung oras na tinakda ko para mag resign. Gusto ko this time sana ma try mag hanap ng work na walang pressure at takot. BTW bayad ako ng 170K monthly for doing nothing may parating pa na bonus at 13th month pa, hayahay di ba. Siguro sabi na rin ng universe na down time ko to para maka pag ipon at isip anong next plan ko. Di ko alam pero either alisin or aalis ako yun ang sigurado.

Kayo ba, pano nyo i handle pag parang wala na kayong “control” at “say” sa mga ganap sa buhay nyo?

Ugali ko siguro na lagi akong may control at option kahit saan man. Work, Travel, Trip sa buhay, as in lahat. Pero this past 2 years, wala. Para kong inanod ng buhay, humbled sagad. Ibat ibang tao, factors at instances ang parang nag decide sa kung san ako dadalhin at until now wala kong ma establish ulit na control.

Anong ginagawa nyo para mabalik yung control sa mga bagay, parang gusto ko mag rage quit at mag simula ulit from the start sa malayo, mag isa. Walang may kilala, walang obligation sa iba.

Marami pa rin dapat i pag pasalamat, pero hinahanap ko talaga na mabalik ko yung control ko sa buhay ko.

A former manager I worked with just announced a new role at a US-based tech startup. We have a good relationship, he knows me and knows my aspirations when were working.

We were able to work together previously because the company had a local team here in the PH. His new company doesn’t have any PH presence as far as I know.

I want to reach out, congratulate him, and express casual interest in potential opportunities. But I’m not sure how to approach it given the location situation and not wanting to come across as desperate or opportunistic. Any advice?

We were able to work together previously because the company had a local team here in the Philippines. His new company doesn’t have any Philippine presence.

How to handle life crisis kung 30s ka pa lang? Normal ba to daanan?

Early 30s. Have a high paying job, may unting ipon, got a wife and a kid. Im grateful like sobrang alam kong pinag pala na ako but recently i dont feel anything. And even my career now is failing me, like im stuck and di na mag karoon ng progress when eto na nga lang inaasahan ko to give me some sense of pride and satisfaction.

Nawala na lahat ng hobby ko unti unti and its killing me. Wala na kong exercise. Wala na kong maayos na meal. Graveyard and all i do now is sleep, work and take care of the baby. Matatapos din ba to? Pano maka recover? Sa pressure being a provider, good sample, partner and father? Minsan gusto ko na lang din mapag isa at mag explore ulit pero di ko na ata alam paano. I know im looking at the wrong things kaya im seeking help and guidance.

I was able to pass the HR interview, honestly my asking was a little bit too high and to my surprise i was able to proceed seems like they have considered me and increased the budget since sabi rin ng HR during the initial call na di na nila continue application ko if di kaya just to not waste any more time.

Next, I was able to talk to the senior of the group i will be working with and pumasa ulitz

I was able to do some technical assessment with another senior last week.

Now, im waiting for the final interview, sana. With the director.

This is a managerial role, what are my chances? Ilan yung applicant nila na pinag pipilian sa mga managerial level roles? Gano katagal bago mag baba ng resulta? And sa final interview ba, may napili na sila or yung director pa mismo ang mag decide if sino? Hindi ba parang vibe check at culture fit na lang yun?

May gagawin ba ang management if mababa ang rating ko sa mga survey? Or they will take it against me, personally?

May survey ang HR na pinadala and requires my ID. Di ko feel ang management and the new employee experience was awful until now di ko alam paano ko nakaka survive dito, walang makausap na matino at parang ewan. Im CL8, IC. Here for couple of months now but walang progress at sobrang tamlay ng mga tao. Ideal ba na maging transparent ako sa feedback or pano? Feel ko wala na rin pag asa tong account ko, or even ACN after sa an experience kong onboard.

Babalikan pa kayo ko ni HR? If kapos budget nila?

Had an interview earlier sa isang HR. Everything went well, I was referred by my colleague for a very niche role here sa PH and ako yung first candidate they interviewed after posting the role last week. So typical interview then salary na. Im earning 160K + 20K allowance now as a Manager, so I mentioned 180K as my whole package ko and was asking for 240K-220K. Appreciated her transparency after all said and done she told me na ang budget lang nila is 140K per month. Now, i think I hit all the spot and requirements they require, i was a referral and im coming for a huge company (tech company). Tingin nyo ba they will try to haggle again? Or let go ko na? This hiring org is a tech start up din.

Low or High Risk Career for first time dad?

Im with my current org for 1 year and 3 months a big tech company. I was able to be promoted only after 6 months to manager role after some reorganization the problem is I think im stuck without any opportunities left for career advancement. Like dead end na, i think they need me still because im good on what i do.

My friend just reached out to me. He is working on a start up for 6 months and may new role silang open and fit sya sa experience ko somehow, also a manager role i will have a chance to work with the execs. Its a strategic role where i can influence and steer some decisions.

Here was my initial plan before this invite, stay on my current company and complete 2 years to secure my 13th and bonuses then find after. Now. I have a 6 month old baby, wife is also working we have enough funds (3-4M) to survive incase things went south.

After all the layoffs parang wala rin naman ng safe sa kahit anong set up so im just trying to find and get as much as exposure and opportunity for myself and my family. Anong tips and advice nyo gentlemen? Thank you.

Im working GY, 1 am to 10 am. 1 year pa lang ako pero di ko alam if tatagal ba ko sa ganitong setup. I can push for another year since im being paid a good amount of money pero ibang iba, mas madami ang nawala sa akin as in.

Paano nyo na manage mag stay sa GY, and also be healthy physically, mentally, emotionally at spiritually?
