Living in the wet tropics, am I ever going to get rid of tines versicolor?

I’ve had TV for almost two decades. It went away the longest when I moved to Northern Europe but came back in force when I moved back to a warmer climate.

I went through pregnancy and breastfeeding for years on end and couldn’t treat it. Then I moved to the tropics and no matter what I do, I can’t ever get rid of it.

When it gets back I use clotrimazole. Selsun irritates my skin. I’ve had fluconazole a few times and that gives the longest effects.

Just sleeping will cause spots.

Is there anything I can do to get rid of it for good or am I just stuck with managing it?

Partially paid invoice

A client underpaid an invoice. It’s probably going to require taking the client to court for the rest of it, so I’m not expecting to fully reconcile the payment in Xero.

Can anyone tell me how I can register this payment against the invoice without amending the invoice or writing off the remainder as a loss?

Is there also a way to archive the invoice to stop it from showing up in overdue payments?

Libra besties.

I need to know I’m not alone.

I have a sun, mercury, Venus, Jupiter Scorpio stellium. Conjunctions at all. I claim full scorpio heritage. Leo rising. Virgo moon. Capricorn Mars. Only Saturn and Pluto in Libra as air in my chart.

Lots of Astro sources always go on about earth signs and our fellow water signs as signs we are most compatible with without looking at the whole chart. and they are great… but Libras are the ones I actually really vibe with on a friendship level. They are accessible, interested and interesting, amazing wing men/women and full of outgoing energy that I love to tag along with but could never carry on my own. They have depth and a sense of justice.

Aquarius is a good second.

Any others here with solid Libra bffs?

I need alteration ideas

I have this really cute shirt that I never wear. My neck is too short lol. I just disappear with this high of a neckline. The sleeves are also not quite long or short enough. I don’t want to take them off altogether. Any ideas on how to alter this blouse without ruining it?

Help: Lower back stretches

I pulled a muscle in my lower back and can’t do any of the regular stretches because they set off my hips. Any tips on lower back release without involving the hips?

Really advanced set up mod breaks my saves

I have been trying out general Tso’s really advanced setup mod. It’s up to date. It works fine until I reopen my game and try and load the save file. I get a runtime error each time. Doesn’t happen without the mod so I guess that’s a clear issue.

Has anyone been able to fix this particular mod or could suggest an alternative mod that doesn’t have this issue?

Final diagnosis: no idea

A frustrating dr visit and no viable alternative drs office nearby. I have no indication of anything causing my malabsorption of B12. IF antibodies negative. Parietal cell negative. Gastrin fine. No celiac. Nothing. I was sent away with a form to recheck serum, active and HCY in a few months with a complimentary joke that he’s feeling a bit tired too and should probably check his B12 levels sometime..

I’ve had three 1000 mcg loading doses IM in the past couple of weeks. I guess now I just maintain a good diet and re test towards the end of the year.

Edit for clarity: I was diagnosed with low serum and functional deficiency at the start of the year. Three months of sublingual supplementation raised serum levels but no effect on active.

Still no cause :-/

Nutshell: low normal serum B12 and very high HCY earlier this year. I supplemented with sublinguals for three months, didn’t move the needle. Serum B12 improved, active B12 at 50.

I was screened for IF antibodies, parietal cell antibodies as well as serum iGa and celiac antibodies. All came back negative, serum iGa low-normal at 0.9 and I feel a bit deflated (like, more than usual with low B12 lol). I’m quite happy that I don’t have celiac but I don’t have any other clear diagnosis either.

Think gastrin is still coming back in the next week.

I had three 1mg IM injections over the past ten days. It hasn’t made any major difference in how tired I feel and how bad my short term memory is.

What should I discuss as next steps with the GP?

Anyone been in this boat?

Week 9, term 2. My least favourite week of the year.

I’m five years in now and this week is, without fail, mayhem. Attitudes and behaviour all over the shop. Assessments due. Students on support provisions who are working at snails pace with TA support. Report cards due. Meetings after school hours. Marking. Those lessons where you’re kind of done with content and have a handful still needing to finish assessments and then 20 others there to meaningfully engage or it turns into a zoo. Oh and please also squeeze in your mid year formative reading assessments.Sure. Why not.

I know I’ll get better at the juggle but really.. Least. Favourite. Week. Of the entire year. (Followed closely by week 9 term 4 but at least then you have the finish line for the entire year in sight and there’s a smidge less fucks to give)

End of vent. Have a great evening.

B12 deficiency leading to celiac diagnosis?

I, 40s/F, have been struggling with B12 malabsorption. After a long time of vague complaints and discussions about perimenopause, I had some blood tests to rule out stuff like thyroid issues and anaemia and it turned out I had low B12 and very high homocysteine, showing that I was not utilising the B12 in my system. I have a diet full of B12 and don’t use any medication that would cause absorption issues.

I supplemented sublinguals for a few months and just retested, also doing a test for intrinsic factor antibodies. Barely any change in my B12 status, clearly showing absorption issues and negative for intrinsic factor antibodies which rules out pernicious anaemia.

Now my doctor is considering celiac disease. That’s come left field, as much as I have digestive symptoms such as bloating and constipation, nothing has ever screamed gluten intolerance.

Is there anyone here who has come to a celiac diagnosis via B12 deficiency/malabsorption at this age and can share some insights?

I really, really like bread :(

B12 absorption issues but not IF positive.. cause?

Low b12, quite elevated HCY. Supplemented with sublinguals for three months and it didn’t move the needle at all. My Dr ordered Intrinsic Factor antibodies test but it came back negative.

Not a vegan. Not on any medications so… now what.

GP is getting me an injection and also a blood test for coeliac.

Anyone here who had coeliac be the reason of malabsorption?

Any other avenues I should be having investigated?

Update

I had B12 tests in February. Serum 275 and HCY 28.

GP suggested sublingual supplementation with 1000mcg.

Just retested serum and active along with intrinsic factor antibodies.

Serum came back at 463. Active B12 at 52 with a reference range of 71-170 from the lab.

Don’t have the IF results back but I guess supplementation hasn’t worked for me.

I am speaking to my GP on Friday so it will be interesting to see what they suggest next and will update this thread.

Workers from/near occupied cities don’t work?

Feature or bug? Every time I occupy a city and workers from the occupied city along with my own workers never complete improvements. It’s been a long while since I played, is this a thing? Is there something I can do?

Suggest a mod?

I have just downloaded the game for my kids but really.. this is just me returning to the game I played for most of my childhood. I can still see the old Civ 1 settler icon lol.

I used a few mods for the game but can’t remember which ones. Can anyone recommend some must-haves?

Christian/bible app recommendation?

I hope it’s ok to ask this here?

I am looking for an app that has daily bible verses, maybe a video or two and access to the bible. I have been using the youversion one for a while now but I find it too focused on evangelising. I just want inspiration, not to be told five times per app visit that I should share my faith with everyone around me.

Any recommendations?

Can someone please tell me how to keep the meat falling off of my burger wraps…? How do you get it to stick? Is it even possible?

u/PublicCheesecake9450 — 4 months ago

One side of my family is a bit murky. I did a DNA test and came back at 26% from one particular region in France. I know through my other side of the family I have some ancestry in that exact region but it’s been fully mapped in the family and it’s been at least 400 years ago since that side of the family left there.

Can the 26% be accumulated through both sides of the family or does this strongly suggest a closer relative from that area?
