There’s levels to this😭

So for the holiday weekend I came down to the shore for the first time in yearsss maybe since i was 16, now 22. And got in the water for the first time since then today and I genuinely couldn’t get out. I was having a blast and with how my mind works I wanna know all I can and of course there’s a sub for it.

How are y’all LITERALLY using your body to surf. This whole time I just thought you catch a wave right before it breaks and swim with it

Laying on the horn to shame

So I’m in at Atlantic City technically Pleasantville or something, but let’s be honest, it’s marketed as Atlantic City for tourist purposes. These are the worst drivers I’ve ever seen in my entire life. I’m just going down the road and this guy exiting a gas station nearly cut off the guy in front of me and I’m a decent distance away from him, but certainly not enough to give time to try to get past me inevitably ends up cutting me off, which of course makes me honk my horn.

I’ll admit at this point, I was already in a bad mood and this guy just happened to do something incredibly stupid so what I did was just lay on the horn until he moved, which felt like 5+ seconds . It wasn’t even a case of not seeing me, being mistakenly waved by someone else, no he tried to cut off the dude in front of me and proceeded to just try it again with me. On top of that it’s not even my car it’s a rental.

I will say, although I was upset in the moment, I was still able to recognize me laying on the horn was a little redundant and was even garnering attention from drivers and pedestrians since the specific situation, there was really nowhere else for him to go until he found a space in the oncoming traffic but the longer he sat there the longer I laid on the horn, and again he put himself in that spot. Would 1000% to do it again if ever in the mood. Poor decisions need to be shamed especially if potentially catastrophic 🤷🏾‍♂️

Worth going back?

With the new update I’m intrigued to come back to the game after maybe about a year. What sort of state is the game in now?

Sudden random rib pain

M21, 6ft 245 pounds, pretty active in the gym and been playing tennis well over half of my life. It’s 7pm and just now like 10 minutes ago, what feels like the center of my right ribs on my side just exploded into a persistent pain. I’m having to actively take deep breaths that’s how bad it is, it’s in pain as I’m resting as well typing this. I imagine I had to have did something yesterday as I went to the gym (upper body) then hit some balls and serves for a half hour. Could be playing tricks on myself but the area does seem to be inflamed somewhat I just don’t know if it’s the muscle or skeletal or both. Any excuse to skip leg day I guess 😭

Note: it appears the deep breaths only worsen the pain

Working on adding slight spin to my first serves and just spins in general

A little weak because I came straight from the gym and had already done some hitting

Appreciation post

So I’m going down to the shore for the holiday weekend this upcoming week and just got the amazon prime card through Chase today so I had a card for the car rental place to put a hold on (unfortunately my current credit card is practically unusable, crazy balance, not my fault though trust). However, what i didn’t know is that the majority of companies will only accept the physical card and not tap or anything. Since I just got the card today, it would’ve taken 7-10 days to get here, which I don’t have time for.

Thankfully I found out Chase does expedited card shipping if you simply just ask, free of charge. I thought this was an oversimplification, and it wasn’t!😀 At 11pm I got on the phone with a customer service rep pretty quick (shoutout to Rachel for being patient with my stutter) and in total the call wasn’t even 5 minutes.

Pretty solid experience, as I continue to adult maybe I’ll look towards Chase bank for more things

Won’t have physical card for car rental

So I’m going down to the shore for the holiday weekend, however I just got a new credit card and the physical card likely won’t be here in time to present to the rental company.

Could I give them my other credit card but just ask if they can put the hold on my newer card? Also my old card doesn’t have the balance to handle the hold but would that matter?

EDIT: Out of fear of judgment, the state of my old card is not my fault

Richer areas

I’m still rather new to dashing and was planning on doing it right after work in the same county/towns I work in. This areas average household income is probably nearly double where I’m from and common sense is telling me the tips might be better if not just more consistent and almost guaranteed.

Is my line of thinking unfortunately flawed?
I’ll do it anyways since I’m already here and just give an update.

Update: so after not even an hour and a half this was the best dash I’ve had so far actually. I always do pay per hour since where I live is just a bunch of long ass roads. Only did 3 deliveries as well, $21 from DoorDash $12 in tips 🤷🏾‍♂️

Leg day before or after

I feel like this is a no brainer but what if I’m missing out on some ball knowledge you know? I have a 2 hour drill today with a small group of old heads (I’m over exaggerating a little but I’m 21) who all used to be D1 or at the very least are adjacent, how fun.

Originally I was gonna skip the gym completely since I had work but luckily was offered VTO. I usually do legs after playing but was wondering if there could be some sort of benefit of doing it before?

Update: I’ve decided to hit legs before the drill and for research purposes we WILL be going for PRs today. Will update later this evening.

Update 2: Ok maybe we won’t be going for PRs as I haven’t played for two hours in a couple months

Rarer than the 18 year old water spider not talking to the Latina mom of 3 with a bbl

My site NEVER offers vto. I’ve been there over a year and genuinely I’ve only taken it once and have seen it maybe 2-3 times before today. I honestly just accepted it for novelty

If the movies are anything like this…

I’ve been missing tf out. This game is LITERALLY a summer action blockbuster in video game form. I’ve never interacted with James Bond or 007 series or anything but this is genuinely fantastic and I’m only at chapter 6

Nike shoe or similar recommendations

So I’ve had this pair of Nike vapors (forget which but they have Rafa on the back) since my school gave me them almost 2 years ago now and I really like them even after 2 years. Now that I’m not broke I can finally get a new pair but I do have only one real problem.

My feet are on the flatter end and although my foot does fit comfortably in the shoe, there are times when my ankle will very gently roll at almost random moments. This has happened many times while playing but thankfully nothing tragic has occurred yet.

But any shoe like these or similar would be spectacular since I’m playing in a tournament soon, gracias.

Difference between pack flow and pack single?

It’s about a month into my summer off from school and after a year at my fc, I kinda hate picking and stowing. I’m about to do the preference thing in the cross training tab in A to Z and pack are the only options I’ve heard aren’t too bad.

Side note: would I even be cross trained? I started as seasonal then swapped to flex still as a seasonal for school and have remained on it bc it’s convenient asf.

People wear revealing clothing to the gym because they’re proud of their progress overtime.

As I M21 lay in bed this morning after a few cart hits I started planning my gym fit for the day. A sleeveless black tank and some shorts. Then I stopped myself and thought after maybe 2-3 years in the gym I’ve never really worn what I think is “revealing” for me.

In the gym I personally don’t pay much mind to those who are wearing more revealing outfits but I’m well aware it is somewhat of a controversial topic. I will also agree that I’ve seen some outfits from both men and women but mostly women (no incel shi though) that were a little crazy. Deadass one time I’m 99% sure some OF model was filming a walking vid on the treadmill next to me with the lowest tank top of all time.

In online gym spaces and even just general opinion, a lot of people think people choose those outfits purely for attention and nothing else. While yes I’d be lying if i didn’t choose a sleeveless shirt today just for a little bit of attention, but i actually wanna see how much my arms have progressed. And quite frankly if I was a woman who spent years achieving a natural bbl, I’d wear dfyne clothing sets every session too 🤷🏾‍♂️

Small towns worth it?

I’m thinking about just getting some extra money as most of us are nowadays and was wondering how well some people do who live in small towns.

My area is like 3 small towns almost stacked on top of each other but in totality I’ll say the population is roughly 20k+.

When did people start going to the gym/working out just because?

3am thought: I’m an avid gym goer and was just thinking who was the first guy to think “I want my biceps to be bigger”. Obviously ancient humans from caveman to medieval knights were mostly physically fit but that was purely for the sake of survival and lifestyles.

Were there some peasants in feudal times that just busted out some pushups and situps every morning? I’m sure there were but my question really is, when did exercise become a mass recreational activity?

Just be patient

Tomorrow will be my third injection of 1mg. I was thinking of going up to 1.5 after the second dose since I was actually gaining weight and being very bloated more than usual, on top of starting creatinine about a half a month ago.

Thankfully today my bloating is way down and I’ve finally lost weight after twoish weeks. I see a lot of people up their dose not even after 2 weeks from impatience. I’ll likely finish out this vial then move up to 1.5mg for the second vial to see what happens as I do get a lot of food noise later in the day.

String recommendations?

I have 3 yonex ezone 98s (2018 I think) and maybe the last time I strung them was half a year ago (leave me alone) and they’re still going strong…apart from my balls flying literally everywhere.

There’s very little left in my spool so I’ll need to get new strings rather soon. The strings I use now are yonex poly tour fire 1.25mm and I usually get them strung at a pretty high tension, and I’ve had them for years at this point and genuinely forget what they even help with. Currently I’m in need of strings that are great for control and especially spin as after 13ish years, I’m just bad at topspin.

Any recommendations are very much appreciated.
EDIT: and tension recommendations are nice too
