27M, 022 graduate here (Tier 2.5/3 central university,India). Worked as an Android Developer from May 2023 to Nov 2025. Left due to a mix of personal and professional reasons.

It's now July 2026, and I still haven't been able to land a job. Hardly getting interview calls, the gap keeps growing, and my confidence is at its lowest. I'm honestly feeling very depressed and lost.

If you've been through a long career gap and managed to turn things around, I'd really appreciate hearing your story. I could really use some positive lessons and hope from people who have been where I am.

Any advice would mean a lot.

Hey guys, I am confused between Takshzila and PW ignite batch for CAT. And I am not considering costly courses apart from these ( If anyone has other experiences also can suggest their courses).

I wanted to know the current placement scenario, average packages, and overall career growth after M.Des from IDC. my_qualifications : Graduated in 2022 in Electrical Engineering from a Central University and was working as an Android Developer for the past 2.6 years.

I’m now planning to transition into design through an MDes abroad. I’ve always been interested in Product Design and Automotive Design but never pursued design professionally.

I know CEED/NID are great options in India, but I’m more inclined toward studying abroad for better international exposure and to experience a different lifestyle and learning environment. I come from a middle class family, so scholarships and affordability are also important factors for me. Europe is my preferred destination, though I’m open to other good options too.

Wanted advice on :

1. Best universities for someone moving from tech to design.
2. How to start building a strong portfolio.
3. Scholarship opportunities (partial/full).
4. Career opportunities after graduation

Would really appreciate guidance from people who’ve taken a similar path.

Hi everyone , it's a bit of a long post but please do read and provide me some advice.

I am an android dev here with 2.6 years of experience, mainly in connected vehicles ( BLE, WiFi, diagnostic SDKs). Clients include Royal Enfield and Ashok Leyland.

I left my last job 6 months ago due to a mix of company issues and personal reasons.

I appeared for a startup, cleared every round but backed out after the CEO interaction felt off. Got a few other calls after that but couldn't clear them.

Now the anxiety is real. Starting to doubt everything.

Two things I genuinely want honest opinions on:

1. The gap is 6 months and counting. If it drags on, should I be considering a pivot to other jobs.

2. Addressing it in interviews every time this comes up I either over-explain or sound defensive. How to handle it cleanly?

Also I've been learning about Kotlin, DSA from scratch and building a couple of side projects, and revising fundamentals.

People who've hired, been hired, or been in a similar spot please do advice.
