I really wish Stardock would just hire whoever drew the Test Edition cover art

The AI gen/assisted art for SoaSE 2 just don't look good, I'd been ignoring it til now but booting the game up and being confronted with all the samey, glossy portraits really put me off.

Like seriously whoever drew the test edition, just hire them, or if that was also AI then use that model instead lol. Just god, I'm so sick of the weird glossy oily people.

I might just become a Transei believer just to annoy the nonbelievers

Okay so hear me out:

If you like a character but don't clock them as being trans and then they turn out to be trans or someone else does clock them as being trans what about that makes you not like the character any more?

Like, I very rarely read a character as being trans because I'm not but I pretty regularly read characters as being autistic or having ADHD cause I do and seeing myself in a character I like (or even some I dislike under certain contexts) is just nice and cool. Like even if it wasn't the authorial intent or other people don't see it thats just like... Idk? Yippee?

And I totally get people wanting to read characters they relate to as being trans because A: See above and B: Trans rep is historically either non existent or only exists to be pointed at and mocked, so you gotta go looking for your own rep on your own terms. Again like pointing up at the autism thing that should be pretty relatable right? So many characters intended to be autistic are weird gross caricatures made in bad faith.

So like what I don't get for the nonbelievers is why is it so important for Ralsei to be cis? There's plenty of cis characters, like in media in general but also in Deltarune and if Ralsei did come out as trans what would that change about their character that would be antithetical to what you currently like about Ralsei? Transei would still be this lovable little woobie who wants to help her friends and be loved and accepted and find her own place in the world, why is being trans a negative?

Not my first rodeo on being baffled by trans theory discourse but I am getting pretty sick of it to say the least and a lot of the antis I've seen across multiple fandoms dont feel like they're coming from a place of good faith ngl

Quick reminder for anyone feeling like Ch5 is a distraction:

It literally is. Kris yanks the soul (us) out to quickly make a fountain as an emergency distraction to stop Susie from catching up with Noelle... This whole chapter was a delaying tactic for whatever comes next within the narrative of the story itself.

Besides the chapter wasn't really a metatextual waste, it gave poor old Asgore a chance for some personal growth, and the Knight the chance to snatch him before he could really commit to said growth. I'm sure he's fine.

There's a perverse kind of satisfaction in killing a runner in the survival "pve" mode and functionally taking their place.

Must feel like getting invaded in Dark Souls for the first time.

God damnit Michael Zaki you did it again

Can't believe that I only now realize that the perfect weapon for fighting IB-01 is given to you in the exact mission that you fight it...

Moonlight is perfect for retaliating with substantial damage after Ibis's combos...

Anywhere with a comprehensive enemy stat īnfo? (AC6)

All the usual wikis are barebones, even if the information is unreliable for other From games at least they were in the vague ballpark.

Like all the Souls games have resistances, damage types, ranges, etc. seems like nobody's done the same for AC6, not even for bosses?

Just want to be able to browse the strengths and weaknesses of enemies even if its mostly irrelevent for most enemies (MTs having so low health that any resistances would be moot, but still nice to know, like what weapons would be most shot efficient for instance)

Simple gaming mouse suggestion

After finding out the hard way that a bunch of the buttons in my current mouse have cross-over which means I can't hold more than 2 buttons down at the same time (giving me grief in Armored Core 6 where I prefer having my shoulder weapons bound to Mouse 4 and 5) I'm now looking for a mouse that doesn't have this manufacturing shortcut, and also how I could tell, if possible, whether or not a mouse will have this problem before buying in the future.

What is the "Godhead" that the Manticore refers to?

Godhead is a very specific bit of terminology, i.e. the nature of the divine, the very concept of divinity. Maybe my google-fu just sucks but I can't find any specific references to a religion or higher power, other than of course the ever-enigmatic Ra, in Lancer.

Is the Manticore hard-coded to worship Ra and destroy anything it percieves as an enemy of Ra? Is the castigation a reaction of anger towards the shackling of NHPs? Is this just Horus psychobabble as a psyop to make nobody take them seriously? Who exactly are these enemies of the godhead? Is anyone who fights a Manticore defacto an enemy of this unspecified godhead?

Why do you CASTIGATE THE ENEMIES OF THE GODHEAD?
