Is it worth getting iPhone 12 in 2026?

I am mostly an android user and currently using a Samsung Galaxy A32 5G. However it has a cracked screen, poor battery life and broken GPS Location sensor. My previous Android phone was a motorola and I had that 6 months ago and sold it because it got really laggy that it started to get frustrating.

I was thinking of trying iPhone this time and I personally love the look of liquid glass and would love to use it. However what I am afraid of is all the software dropping support in like 2/3 years time and then the phone becomes useless because all apps need new iOS version. That's what happened to my friends iPhone 6s

Meanwhile android phones tend to support software for much longer.. for example WhatsApp still works on android 6 from like 10 years ago.

My other option is a Google pixel phone, but I'm not sure..

I was also thinking of iPhone 11 but I prefer to have USB type C, hence the iphone 12.

I'm currently looking in the used phone market as iPhone 13 and above is too expensive for me. I really want to get rid of this galaxy a32 soon as it's just becoming hard to use.

Thanks.

Anyone find it difficult to follow online programming tutorials?

When i'm following a programming course or tutorial online (doesn't even have to be programming really), I find it very difficult to focus. I start by reading through the material and then I'm re-reading the same sentences again not really taking in that information, then I feel tired and start yawning, my eyes hurt and I end up scrolling on my phone for hours instead. There is just zero motivation or interest.

I remember back in my university days, I couldn't focus on the lectures at all and would sometimes catch myself almost falling asleep sometimes!

However, If I drink coffee, suddenly I can now focus, get through it, engage with the materials properly and start the actual learning process. I start to really get into that work zone / hyperfocus and enjoy things.

I am undiagnosed but on the waiting list.

I was wondering if this was a problem that happens with other people here as well?? I have a lot of creative ideas for projects and I did start one programming project but I unfortunately just couldn't focus on the learning part and it's now been 2 years since I last touched it.

Anyone really good at academics but weak in terms of doing anything practical / hands on?

Don't know if it's just an INFP trait, but I have always been pretty good at school / academics even though I procrastinate a lot.

Meanwhile If i'm asked to do anything practically / hands-on like cooking something or looking for something, I need to be told very specific details on what to do otherwise I get super confused, It honestly makes me feel kind of stupid. Honestly writing this down, I was pretty bad at all the practical tasks back in school, the worst was in gymnastics where the coach wants you to do a specific position but I didn't know how to do that so I kept getting yelled at.

GTA 6 is going to have burnout crash cams

TGG (who was invited to see GTA VI at Rockstar North HQ) just confirmed in his video about driving mechanics, that if you crash a car at high speed in GTA VI, it activates a slow mo crash cam like Burnout Paradise.

This is also shown in one of the leaked Cyberleek clips when he is driving a supercar around and crashes at the side of a bridge!!

Anyone find it challenging to keep track of what's being said in conversations or calls?

I've had this problem for a long while and not sure if it's due to the social anxiety or something else underlying.

Basically when i'm having a conversation with someone, the other person is talking about a bunch of stuff, making all these different points and I'm listening but processing it all very slowly.

I'm thinking about what they said 30 seconds ago, meanwhile they keep talking and they're already on some other point. At that point I've lost track of the convo and just 'pretending' to listen and nodding my head and agreeing.

Sometimes I even mishear miswords, I remember a co-worker told me to move the microwave, but I heard the word "microwave" as some other gibberish, to which i replied with "Move the what??".

It's much harder at work when I'm given a task with so much info I can't keep track of it, it has to be written down.

Phone calls it's even harder, when the caller talks - for some reason I can't understand anything that they're saying, it just sounds muffled! so I just make an excuse like "oh you're cutting out, please can you repeat that" and it still sounds muffled. It makes for some very awkward situations.

Is it worth getting an iPhone 11 in 2026? I am an android user.

Hi all, I am currently using a Samsung galaxy a32 5G as my main phone but the screen is damaged, battery is dying and GPS is faulty.

I thought instead of repairing it, I could probably just get a new phone.

Looking at the used market here, I can see some listings for iphone 11 at around 80-100$

Is it worth picking one up? All i need is Whatsapp and my banking apps. I also really want to use iOS 26 for that liquid glass aesthetic.

I do also want longevity too but sort of worried about this because some older androids support more apps than older iphones. Older iphones will just say that you need to update to X ios version to use the app, it sort of soft bricks the phone by design 😞

Any people who work in IT or Tech? How is your experience being on caffeine vs caffeine-free?

The problem I'm facing is that I recently realised that I can stare at a computer for hours and be productive when I have a cup of coffee beside me to drink. I learn faster and am actually interested in the work.

And without caffeine, i cannot stare at a computer for more than 15 minutes before I get sluggish, bored and tired and unmotivated, I can't focus at all. When i tried decaf for a week, that was my exact experience.

It reminds me of the days when I was in programming class, at the time I did not consume coffee or tea but I found it difficult to start programming because i would not be motivated to do it even though i liked it and eventually I would get bored, sleepy and start yawning, can't focus at all and sleep in those classes. If I had drank coffee at the time no doubt I would have aced those classes i think.

I just wanted to know other people's experience with caffeine, especially if they work in tech or IT where you're staring at a computer most of the day, some people say coffee is an absolute requirement for them in a desk job.

They also mentioned burnout in the article

Rip burnout, officially confirmed to be permanently dead.

I think we all knew that but I secretly hoped burnout could return in some way other than Wreckreation

Retired Laptop from Intune/Entra but says "the sign in method is not allowed please contact your administrator"

Hi all, we have a laptop that was previously enrolled with Microsoft Intune, it had multiple policies configured, one of them I assume blocked local account logins.

The laptop has now been retired from Intune, the laptop no longer appears in the Intune All Devices section.

When we still login to any local account, even including the in-built Windows Administrator account, it just shows up with the message "the sign in method is not allowed please contact your administrator".

Is there a way to change this policy on the system so we can login to local accounts? the recovery environment appears to be corrupted and doesn't work so perhaps I could use a bootable Windows 11 installation on a USB flash drive as a substitute?

Or if there is any other fix, please suggest it. That would be much appreciated.

Anyone tried Bach's Rescue Remedy?

Anyone tried rescue remedy? It comes in different forms: pastilles, spray and liquid dropper. As far as I'm aware the liquid dropper uses grape alcohol.

Rescue remedy supposedly reduces stress, nerves and anxiety and acts as emotional aid.

What are your thoughts? Is it all just a fake placebo?

Weird salesforce issue, objects are not showing up after searching for them??

I'm an IT intern for a company and very new to salesforce. I was instructed to create a new Salesforce user using the same licenses, permission sets, public groups as another salesforce user.

I successfully created the new user, it has the same permission set, same public group setting, same permission group set as the one i was copying from etc.. but the customer using that new account said that when he searches for a name in the Salesforce Field Service App e.g. Joe Bloggs then salesforce will not display any objects and say something along the lines of "don't give up".

However, if you login to the other salesforce user (the one i copied from), everything works fine, you can search for any object in the field service menu global search and it will show the results (things like contacts, emails, any mentions of the entered search result), but in the one i created, nothing shows up. I've been trying to figure this out for a couple hours but haven't figured anything out.

I've tried to disable and re-activate the user account i made, nothing changed.

I re-assigned the permission set, nothing changed.

One weird thing i noticed is that if i login to the salesforce user where everything works, go to a specific object, and then keep a copy of that URL Link, logout and login to the new salesforce user i created, go to the URL link I saved, then it shows the object just fine? it just appears to not be showing the proper search results or something. I'm totally clueless on what to do now.

Should i get CarX Drift Racing if i already own Assetto Corsa?

Just saw the game on sale and I see from other posts that it's not worth getting the cheaper base version but it's best to go for the complete edition to get all the dlc cars and maps.

I just wanted to ask, is it worth getting CarX in this case ? I do play on controller nowadays and don't usually pull out my sim rig due to lack of space and it needs effort to set it all up.

Also what can you do on modded maps? is there any specific gamemode you can set like reach X drift points to win or is it just freeroam and do whatever you want?

I'm also interested in making my own maps and do have a bit of experience in Blender, so i think it would be fun to toy around with that.

I'd really appreciate some fast replies as i want to make a decision before the sale ends haha.

Is NoFap the only way out of this addiction?

I've been addicted to watching porn for past 5 years now, I've been on and off with porn and masturbation but it really got worse since Coronavirus happened and we all got isolated from lockdown and it just went so downhill from there. I now feel numb to everything, I don't have much motivation and fun things like video games / movies / music / socializing aren't fun any more - I fear I have wired my brain to crave porn as the only place of pleasure.

I've tried PornFree (No porn but masturbation allowed) and I found that when I take the PornFree route, I eventually find my way back to porn because of the chaser effect, masturbating without porn gets boring and my brain wants novelty.

NoFap on the otherhand I've tried for a week, I felt much more energised/focused overall and seemingly happier but I think NoFap is more difficult to maintain than PornFree.

What are your thoughts?
