Its completely insane that "Free Palestine" is the number 1, 2, or even 10 most important issue for any American

Listen, I get it, I don't like innocent people getting hurt or killed in war zones either, can't defend that at all.

But frankly its a little weird making it your most important issue when you are not only on the other side of the world, but also completely ignoring worse atrocities going on in other parts of the world (that don't receive massive nonstop worldwide mainstream media coverage and ragebait from Krystal at Breaking Points).

But sure, its good to have empathy and compassion for people, I completely get it. I feel terrible for children and families involved on both sides of the conflict.

But, the average "Free Palestine" type is generally very very left wing and possibly part of certain fringe minority groups (that we can't mention on this board due to TOS) that would quite literally be murdered if they set foot in Palestine/Gaza. I said murdered. That isn't even an exaggeration, and the people in Palestine/Gaza hate Israel, in part, because of Israel's perceived leftist nature (leftist, at least, compared to radical Islam). They would HATE most "Free Palestine" types if they went over there and probably scratch their heads a lot that they get support from these people.

That said, while I'm not saying it shouldn't be an issue for people, but making it your #1, 2 or 5 issue is pretty fucking weird IMO, especially when you are willing to literally sabotage other left leaning politicians who don't completely meet your purity tests on this issue and at times are willing to murder innocent people over the issue (see, e.g. last year's DC shooting at a Jewish event, among others).

I understand that this is an unpopular opinion here, and I apologize for being argumentative, but this was really on my mind lately.

It just CAN'T be the #1 issue for any normal person. And these people are the reason that Trump won in 2024 - how is that going for you?

If you call for an entire nation's destruction and say that it doesn't have a right to exist, and side with its enemies, you are also against the people from and in that Country

You can't hide being some "I'm not against the people of XXXX country, I'm just against its government/etc." - its very simple - you favor genocide and you are a racist if you also think the following.

No. If you call for the destruction of an entire nation, say that it doesn't have a right to exist, actively celebrate its military deaths, actively root for terrorist attacks from outside groups to kill innocent people and destroy at random within that country, etc, you are also against the innocent people of that nation and the people who support the country. Full stop. You can't hide behind the tired trope stated above - we all see through you. You are part of the problem, and frankly it's straight up racist to think this way.

It just seems like people are trying to justify their own racism to themselves, because no one thinks they are actually racist, and they found this "one weird trick" from Reddit where they can hate an entire nation while at the same time not being racist AT ALL.

One example I can think of regarding people doing this is Israel, by the way.

Man, Breaking Points spent a LOT of airtime today blatantly glazing and platforming the DSA. Seems like BP has forgotten their original format

Another day, another series of lengthy segments of Krystal and Ryan literally platforming and glazing the DSA. I mean, we get it, Krystal and Ryan are mouthpieces of the DSA at this point, and are obviously in on some movement to platform and normalize the DSA as much as possible, but please be a little less obvious.

I really miss the old Breaking Points.

The Lefts reaction to the "Prairieland Defendants" prison sentences clearly shows that they are really mad that they can't do whatever they want anymore

Leftist Reddit has been absolutely howling with rage over the prison sentences handed out to a group of coordinated antifa activists who literally assaulted a federal facility and tried to murder a police officer in the process. They were coordinated, had a plan, and did it out of some anti ICE motivation. And then got violent, tried to kill someone. Met every definition of terrorism.

However, the left is acting like their sentence amounts of fascism, etc. Trying say that these were just engaged in protest and even that they were defending themselves from the police officer. 2nd amendment, etc.

You see, in the past the left defended thugs like this, holding "protesters" out as some scared untouchable class that could do no wrong, no matter how thuggish or stupid or violent they acted

I think that this reaction is really due to them not wanting to have consequences for their actions, and are irate about it. They are even more mad that their brown shirts are being exposed as more than "just an idea" as well.

Why does Breaking Points continue to give platforms to legitimately crazy candidates like Darializa Avila Chevalier?

From what I understand, Darializa Avila Chevalier is one of those crazy, insane, leftist DSA types who literally want to end all deportations of any kind, abolish ICE, abolish prisons, and has called in the past to abolish police among many others - like looney toons crazy shit. Has been called out for all sorts of insane shit that she deleted from twitter. She is a true believer.

But she has been on Breaking Points multiple times, including being given a huge 24 minute segment yesterday, with Krystal and Ryan fawning all over her, giving her a platform to attack her opponent, and lobbing softball questions to her to "clean up" her record. See: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5TnwoDLy6bg

I know that she is a sacred "DSA" type and hates Israel (probably why Krystal likes her so much), but why can't Breaking Points be a LITTLE more selective in giving attention to people who aren't legitimately insane or damaging to society?

Why can't Krystal and Ryan be a little less open and obvious about their DSA fangirlism?

Over and over, these “antifa” far leftist types mugshots show that they are not only ugly on the inside, but also on the outside

over and over, the “antifa” types that come to light via police mugshots are the ugliest people that I have ever seen. facial piercings, purple hair, tattoos - and you often can’t tell what ethnicity or sex they even are. Far far uglier than the average person, like bottom tier. the average fat “maga” redneck looks like an angel in comparison

add to the fact that they are far leftists and literal agitators for the “bad guys”

add to the fact that usually the reason we are seeing their mugshots in the first place is that they committed politically motivated crimes, one of the most pointless and stupid forms of criminal acts

Am I alone in noticing this correlation? could there be more to it?

Maybe I'm crazy, but it seems like many leftists are NOT supporting the "unheard" people of Ireland who are violently revolting right now and who are angry at the "system"

Call me crazy, but after years of hearing "riots are the voice of the unheard" and "the people are angry and they felt like they had no other choice", etc etc regarding the 5-6 months of nationwide violent BLM riots that killed dozens, attacked untold thousands, destroyed thousands of minority owned businesses, caused over $2bb in property damages, and set back race relations for decades (thanks media!!) - and they treated any "protester" like a mythical creature who could do no wrong.......

I am kind of hearing a silence from the Left right now regarding the "unheard" and "helpless" people of Ireland who "had no other choice" and are currently rioting and violently attacking people over what they feel is long time injustice from the governing class.

Let me be very clear, I hate what I am seeing in Ireland, I hate all forms of violent protest whether left or right wing, and I feel sorry for immigrants being attacked right now. I say this as someone who is very opposed to the entire west simultaneously allowing millions of illegal immigrants into their countries at precisely the same time, consequences be damned (kinda seemed planned but what do I know?7

But at least I am consistent about my dislike of violent protest for any reason.

But it seems, and call me nuts, but in order to be logically consistent, my opinion is that the Left would be full throated supporting the angry people of Ireland through this.

But they don't seem to be.

Why not?

Edit - I am seeing some posters bring up the fact that these Ireland protesters seem to be racist - and I fully agree and condemn that fully. However, I also seem to recall a ton of racist rhetoric and signs at the BLM protests, saw videos of people saying out loud that they wanted to vandalize white businesses, "I relish in your white tears" was a commonly seen slogan at these events. What I am trying to say is that the BLM had elements of racism as well.

If the "first trillionaire" was some leftist fart sniffer, Redditors would be cheering like their team won the super bowl. I suspect that their anger is really just jealousy

It is mildly amusing to see how mad people are on leftist reddit right now over Elon Musk being the "first trillionaire." By that, I mean that they are really, really mad. Listen, I get the "economic disparity" stuff, kind of, but other than twitter being a little more "free speech" I can't think of a single bad thing that has come to me because of Elon Musk achieving this. In fact, its even less than considering "bad things" - my life is no different than when he was worth $1 billion, $50 billion, or $100 billion. Same outcome for me. In fact, it might even benefit me a little bit in that I get to watch cool rocket videos on the internet that his company made.

Can you imagine if Obama were the first trillionaire? Redditors would be dancing in the streets.

I really do suspect, and this might be an unpopular take, that these Redditors are actually jealous of Elon Musk, and that all of this anger comes from this jealousy. Anyone else ever think this or am I just crazy?

Looking at a 1957 vos black beauty Custom at guitar center. But it doesn't have the authenticity paperwork. How much of a problem would you have with this?

I own three other LPs including an R8 so I am pretty confident that this guitar is legitimate. And it's awesome. But they don't have any of the certificate of authenticity or other paperwork. How much of a problem is this for you guys? I imagine reselling like this might be an issue

I also read somewhere that you can take it to Gibson in nashville and get a letter of authenticity once they check it, but not the original paperwork

Never forget - Democrats' voracious support of any and all illegal immigration is explicitly anti-worker for the native population

It was always funny to me how democrats are so in favor of illegal immigration and want it so badly. I get it, many illegals are poor and downtrodden etc, I guess on one level it's ok to support it.

But overall, this mass support for mass illegal immigration and opposition to anything stopping it is explicitly anti-worker. It absolutely depresses working class wages and raises rents, and devours social services budgets that otherwise would have served the native population. Anyone who is socialist should outright reject mass illegal immigration.

I still don't understand why leftist leaders of the west allowed this mass illegal immigration to happen - it's not just out of the kindness of their hearts, and it's turning out to not exactly be about the "votes,"'it's almost like these elites have a different plan for us native populations.

Want a mini Push style controller strictly for travel. Handled the Launchpad X and Mini the other day. Any other good options?

Launchpad X was cool and I vastly prefer velocity sensitive keys, but was maybe slightly too big for travel. Launchpad mini had a good size for travel but the keys were buttons (that you press) rather than the push style keys of the X, also not velocity sensitive keys

Any other good options to consider?

Or should I just get an iPad app for this - and if so what are the top Ableton controller apps?

Quinnipiac poll | 5/14-5/18: Less than 2/10 men support Democrats (just SIXTEEN PERCENT (16%) of men approve). Call me crazy but this will become a problem for Democrats one day

https://x.com/OpenSourceZone/status/2057240536986091670

78% of Men disapprove of Democrats, per Quinnipiac. Almost 8/10 disapprove. Makes you wonder who the remaining 2/10 men that approve of them even are - basically a couple effete urbanite men?

Call me crazy, but the exodus of "men" from the Democrat Party is historically unprecedented, and the growing perception that they and their supporters disparage and look down on men (which was cultivated for many years and pointed out in the media for a long time) will be a big issue for them eventually.

As an aside, I walked by a bunch of middle school boys the other day, I heard one of them call another a "Democrat" and the rest of the boys laughed. It was an insult to them.

The funny thing is that this has nothing to do with Trump either - this was entirely their own making.

Decades long hair metal fan - literally just discovered the band "Icon" yesterday

They are FUCKING AWESOME too. Just one banger after another. Why the hell is this group never discussed? Why had I never heard of them until now? Their stuff is old too, mid 80s mostly. I think they came up in a random hair metal mix from spotify. WTF??? lol

Emily appreciation thread

Wanted to give props out to Emily. I know she gets daily hate threads made on this sub, but even if I don't agree with her on everything, she is so nice and pleasant to listen to, and gives the "conservative" perspective in a nice and inviting manner. I would like to be IRL friends with her, much more than Krystal, honestly.

Vortex Razor HD Binos - Questions regarding 10x42 vs 10x50

EDIT: 8x42!! not 10x42

Has anyone tried both?

Ive tried the 10x42s at Bass Pro and they were great. Does the extra inch and 3-4oz of the 10x50s matter a lot?

Also, do I have it right that the 10x50s are more magnified, harder to find stuff/shaky? Or is it not that different? I guess I don't get the difference in the 50s vs 42!

Dokken - "Alone Again" is my favorite hair metal Ballad and nothing really comes close

Song had it all - great singing and melodies (pretty in some parts), great riffs, really heavy bridge (that riff is so badass it would have been cool in a non-ballad), super awesome solo. Basically had it all. I can't think of any other ballads that come close - MAYBE "I Remember You" by skid row comes close as a ballad (most suck IMO)

Allowing Leftists to have their "glorious revolution" would be really really violent and crappy and change my standard of life greatly. They must be not allowed this

I really like my life. I love my 12 electric guitars and my car. I love being able to go out for a nice dinner with friends. I like my job and get paid well.

Then I get on Reddit and see leftists literally advocating for violence and violent revolution. Cheering on the death of anyone not leftist. Making "Luigi" a hero.

I don't know how many of these people there really are that think like this, but it seems to be increasing a lot. These people openly support violence and death of their political foes. They openly yearn for revolution.

Any revolution would lead to a lot of dead people, and like every communist or socialist movement in history, would quickly turn authoritarian. Our entire way of life would be violently altered.

I do not want to change my life because these people feel like losers. They are indeed losers. And they can't be allowed to endanger my life or the lives of my loved ones due to their naive revolutionary fantasies.

Going on an Alaska trip this summer, willing to spend a little on quality binoculars. Is the Vortex Razor HD 10x42 (around $800) the best bang for your buck these days? Seeking other suggestions

hi! I am going to Alaska this summer and want some better binoculars. Have A/B’d Vortex binos at Bass Pro and the Razor was certainly better than the others (but not like a huge amount).

‘Have there been any competitors released that I should also consider?

‘price range is up to $800 but prefer in the $500 range if possible
